TTC a Rainbow...

Halpmer · 27/06/2023 08:37

Hello everyone. I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is out there TTC their rainbow baby 🌈 and wants to join me?

Any loss is a valid loss here, early miscarriage, late miscarriage, chemicals, TFMRs etc. I know we can sometimes face judgement from others or have others not understand!

@Jessie30 it is really hard but I'm constantly stresses about timing, considering having a break but then I'm worried because I don't have a lot of time so am I missing vital time 😓 so so hard

moosey89 · 24/07/2023 13:20

@Kellyaust me and my partner agreed from the start we would be using home artificial insemination to help our TTC journey (as I'd had a previous missed miscarriage in a past relationship after 2.5 years of ttc, and it destroyed the intimacy in the relationship and I was so scared of that happening again). I got pregnant with it this year (6th month of trying), sadly had another MMC last week, but when we try again we'll definitely be using the same method. It takes so much pressure off and means sex is reserved for intimacy and fun xx

SnookyPook · 24/07/2023 13:48

@Vic231 thanks lovely! CD14 here and just got my 'high' LH reading this morning so probably expecting peak this evening and hopefully ovulation tomorrow. We've managed to dtd the last couple of days and will do today, tomorrow and poss Weds for good luck (why not?!) So hopefully in with a shot .. so it'll be another tww shortly. Just hope it's not as emotional as the last one. My pms got horrendous which I'm sure was mixed in with hormones etc making the loss so prominent in my mind. Going to try and do my daily yoga and get good sleep etc and just nurture myself a bit... Will let you know how that goes!!

Halpmer · 24/07/2023 18:58

@Kellyaust I'm not surprised it's thrown you, totally understandable. Take the time you need to figure out your thoughts and feelings, this is all such complex stuff and so tied to emotions that it's hard to sort through.

@Greymalkin12 welcome, I'm sorry you're here but I'm glad you've found us! I'm so sorry for your losses.

@inthewest we're both teachers as well so I'm hoping the 6 weeks will give us a good chance as well.

I agree about the high fertility after loss pressure, I'm in my first proper cycle since and I'm really trying hard to battle that expectation as I just have a feeling it's one of those things that people say.

It's been DH feeling the pressure here more than me actually. Which has caused some struggles when we dtd. Understandable as he's put so much pressure on himself as he wants a baby so badly too!

So, I've had empty circles (low fertility) on my CB ovulation tests since Friday, no flashing smiley (high fertility), but this morning - CD20 - bloody solid smiley (peak fertility) out of nowhere! We dtd on Friday and today so I'm hoping that's enough as I'm down with a cold and that is not an activity I feel I can give my all to at the minute 😆.

So I'm counting this as the beginning of my TWW because I just know I'm going to test early I can't help myself 🙄. I'm going to wait until 4th Aug at least as I've had positives at 9dpo both pregnancies before so if I wait until 10dpo I feel like that's good for me 😅.

@SnookyPook excellent, and defo Wednesday for luck! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 this is your cycle!! I think we are very similar as my PMS has been off the chart with this AF!

Actually AF question, this is my first AF since the bleeding of my chemical MC and it is heavy and very painful! Is this usual? The bleeding of my chemical was very light in comparison x

SnookyPook · 25/07/2023 08:31

@Halpmer we'll be in the tww together! Got my peak last night so hopefully ovulating today. Good luck! ❤️

@Vic231 thanks! Was reading up on Smep last night and looks like we've accidentally done that 😂 can't harm anyway eh? On the heavier periods, yes, can be normal after a loss. Mine weren't particularly different but have heard others saying they deffo experienced that. Hope you feel better soon!

Jessie30 · 25/07/2023 08:38

glad you had a good time away @Vic231 but sorry to hear about your poorly dog! I hope she's recovering well now. And hope the horrible period pain eases off soon, lots of lovely self-care ❤️

And good luck with ovulations @Halpmer and @SnookyPook 🙏🌈 I've not heard of smep, just googled and might try it this week too!

Pretty normal unfortunately, my first one after my second miscarriage honestly felt like I was going through it again 😣 hope it's not too bad and goes away soon!x

Mousse1990 · 25/07/2023 16:37

Can I join?
Bit early for me yet as I'm still going through some miscarriage symptoms (which happened last Wednesday). I'm hoping to start trying again in a few weeks, though.
Sorry for the loss everyone has been through 🥺

moosey89 · 25/07/2023 17:39

@Mousse1990 sorry to hear about your loss :( I'm the same in that I had surgical management last thurs so now am in that horrible time of waiting for bleeding to stop and to get a negative test so we can try again x

Sorry to hear of your loss as well ☹️ my bleeding has mostly stopped but have had increasing pelvic pain. I'm finding the only thing that helps is thinking about trying again. I hope your bleeding stops soon so you can start trying ❤️

Halpmer · 25/07/2023 19:08

@SnookyPook happy ovulation! I've found this ovulation (and lead up of a couple days) to be unsettling in my digestion, nothing major but you know how toileting can be sometimes with a period? Kind of giving that sort of stomach upset. So odd, never had it before! When are you planning to test? After missed period?

@Mousse1990 all welcome here! It's not too early either, we're happy to be a crutch to hobble on while you go through your MC, sending so much love ❤️ you're amongst friends here.

@moosey89 how are you getting on?

OP posts:
moosey89 · 25/07/2023 21:37

@Halpmer not great - stupidly took a test way too early and it came up positive quicker than the ones I had at the start of my pregnancy so that left me feeling like shit. I was at least hoping the hormones had gone down a bit but clearly not. Still spotting loads every day too. Just want this stage over with so I can move forward. :(

SnookyPook · 25/07/2023 23:32

@Mousse1990 @moosey89 my heart goes out to you. So sorry for your losses. Sending massive hugs. As @Halpmer says, you're amongst friends here and we are more than happy to be a hand to hold.

@Halpmer yes I will try to hold out for AF.. even though the tww sends me loopy 😂😩 But... If I got a BFP early it would only cause anxiety anyway. Might as well wait and see what happens... 😬🙂 Gonna be a long 14 days though!!

SnookyPook · 26/07/2023 11:57

Peak opk was Monday evening.. managed to dtd that night. Was hoping for yesterday too but toddler had other plans 😩😆 We did manage it this morning though and I actually have a feeling I may be ovulating today rather than yesterday as had more cm this morning and skin bit spottier. Got a feeling of calm and happiness right now.. going with it as know it's likely to be a different picture in a week or so! Tww begins...

Hope everyone is ok today 💕

Halpmer · 26/07/2023 14:12

@SnookyPook welcome to our TWW! I'm treating this as 1dpo going off of peak tests and stuff

I'm second part of 2ww...I need to stop testing!did a test 6 days before my AF due what's wrong with me 😄
I found when I conceived my DD it was when we took a break from TTC after My MC,went on holiday, drank as much wine as i liked happened...of course easier said than done to stop stressing, this time I'm finding it harder with having a toddler too and always being exhausted 😟

Yea very hard to get in the mood with a toddler 😂 I'm 2dpo so having a break tonight and will dtd tomorrow night and hopefully that will catch it. I'm as bad for testing early, I have no will power 😂

Tryingfornumbertwo2 · 26/07/2023 19:41

Hey, so last month didn’t result in anything.

I’m now on cycle say 14. My cycles were always 28 days but after my last MC they seem to be 32/33 days. We have dtd cycle days 11, 13 and 14, I’m finding it hard to track ovulation as I’m steering away from testing (it became obsessive).

We have had 11 miscarriages in just under three years, but we are still none the wiser as to what the problem is. Anyway, I like to just read along the threads and share the stories of others. It occupies my brain 😊 the 2ww is imminent, but that’s dependent on the cycle. I hate trying to not test, I’m terrible at giving in and POAS.

Sending lord of luck to everyone this month 😊

Tryingfornumbertwo2 · 26/07/2023 19:42

Lots* not lord 😅

oop · 28/07/2023 20:49

How is everyone? Yay for those who have ovulated and entered the 2ww. And welcome to those joining the thread, so sorry to hear about your losses, it's so hard.

@moosey89 my pregnancy tests were stronger than originally a few days after starting bleeding and I was despairing but they dropped off a cliff and were negative within a week. So it may still drop off quickly for you. It's so frustrating being in that limbo state.

I've had a horrendous tummy bug the last couple of days, honestly never felt so ill before as I did last night. Horrible. Hoping it won't have had an effect on my chances as it's right around when implantation would be happening. But who knows. It's certainly distracted me from obsessing the last day or 2 anyway.

SnookyPook · 28/07/2023 21:28

@oop so sorry to hear that - tummy bugs are the absolute worst! Hope you're feeling loads better now! Good luck for last bit of tww too! 🤞🏻

@Tryingfornumbertwo2 I like the sound of the lord of luck! He sounds like a fun person to have at a party! Hopefully he'll be paying all of us a visit this cycle!!

Halpmer · 29/07/2023 01:14

@oop all okay here, which is nice! A little bored of the TWW already 😅 as is to be expected. I'm CD24, 4dpo... the fortunate thing is that we are at home now as a family so there is a lot to be distracted by! We had a horrendous tummy bug here when I was about 18 weeks with Jude and it was truly the most ill I've been with a tummy bug, sending much love I hope you're feeling a lot better soon.

@Tryingfornumbertwo2 I also like the sound of the lord of luck 😂

Had the most vivid dreams last night, awful actually. Had vivid dreams with both my last pregnancies 👀 I'm only 4dpo though, but I guess hormones would still be changing even before implantation... here's hoping this is my first sign of a rainbow 🌈.
