Hi all,

I am out for this month on my first cycle TTC baby number 2. Have a 3 year old already and I am approaching 35years old. June was a relaxed TTC month but determined to use OPKS and be a bit more strategic this month. Looking forward to tracking our progress together this month - feel free to introduce yourself below!

@Floralsandsmiles Ahh that's great I'm so pleased 😁.. I'm doing okay 7dpo today so half way there the TWW.. had some spotting late last night at around 11.30isj at 6dpo so I'm hoping that was implantation spotting.. sorry if pictures are TMI 🥴🤦🏻‍♀️

So I got my first positive OPK yesterday, I’ve been told the only way to know you’ve 100% ovulated is checking BBT which I haven’t done this month (but will next month if we aren’t lucky this month), I was just wondering what I class as 1DPO? Would that be today as the + OPK was yesterday or do I keep doing OPK’s until the levels drop and then that is 1dpo? X

@Mrsttcno1 I think the timeline is different for everyone, which is why bbt is suggested to see for your own body. However, temping is too much stress for me but I usually can feel ovulation and it usually happens the day after my +opk. So then 1dpo would be the day after that (2 days past the +opk)

@Floralsandsmiles hey, I stupidly tested at 9dpo evening and got a bfn.. daren't test again as my heart can't take another negative.. 13dpo in the morning. I'm planning on testing at 15dpo the day AF is due unless AF shows up before then 🥴

My last period started on 18th July and finished on 22nd July, a week later on 29th July I started spotting for a few days. The Flo app says ovulation should have been around the 1st august but when I tested I got a very faint line.

I decided to test for both hgc and LH today and got these results!

im 7DPO but pretty sure I’m out already. Had argument with husband over peak weekend so didn’t manage to DTD on day I got solid smiley (and hadn’t for 3 days before either) so highly unlikely I caught it this month and I’ve no symptoms at all.

ive done a day 21 test privately today so will check progesterone levels to confirm I’ve actually ovulated as well!

Last month I didn't ovulate so had cycle 34 days (usually around 28).
This month it seems I did ovulate (according If to clear blue advanced digital and cheap strips on the Premom app).
I was feeling positive this cycle.
But Just got AF at day 24 (8DPO).

I went to the GP a while ago as TTC for 1 year and I'm 38yrs and she took bloods and said she's not concerned and to keep trying.

Should I go back to the GP?

@123456789sw hi, I would really recommend an initial consultation with the fertility dr or clinic... I was in a similar situation and delayed as thought 2 pregnancies were fast and easy so shouldn't be a problem and dr said just keep trying, hormones are good etc. I was around 40 though, so now I am in the mid of first ivf as at this age quality is a big issue even if hormones are good.
Fertility dr can advise on full spectrum of tests, and how much time of trying you have. Then you can decide..
i really wish I had a consultation before I was 40 and knew all the odds etc..

Thanks so much - I think I'll call the GP again, I guess I just feel like I'm nagging and people have more important health problems.
Can I ask the GP to refer to a fertility clinic or is it something I should do privately?

@123456789sw sorry cannot advise here as I moved abroad a few years ago, and here all private (still I need to push as I have kids as they were reluctant and said it is age and nothing can be done.. I had multiple chemical pregnancies). Where fertility clinic explained and checked all, I am now on healthy diet, supplements..still all difficult but at least I know I am doing all what I can

Definitely try with GP, and then if you can afford go private.. You don't have to do ivf, but at least you will know if other issues are there that prevent. Xx

@theodora2146 is that a second line on the hsg!? It kinda looks like a second line is there?

For my first I didn't have any preg tests so I initially used an opk and it was blazing so I went to buy some frers and got a positive there as well!

@jules5232 it kinda looks like it but I'm not sure. My cycle seemed to have messed up a little bit this month, so I'm gonna hold out for anymore testing and see AF arrives.

Sorry for the silence from me, had a busy month. I’m coming on to see how everyone is and give an update.

I got a BFP Friday night at 11DPO. Was a strong positive and I’ve done a few tests since and also a digital weeks which puts me at 1-2 weeks. I’m very surprised, I only did the test to check I could drink this weekend and genuinely didn’t think I would be pregnant because:

1. had positive OPK/static smiley on day 11 of my cycle (forgot to log in my chart). Hadn’t DTD since day 8 and had argument with DH meaning no DTD on peak day. Eventually managed late (11pm) on day 12 but felt sure would have missed it. Had lots of ewcm day 10/11 and then again on day 14. Did another OPK and CB digi and got positive and static smiley again so still positive for ovulation several days later.
2. Because of the above I thought I had definitely missed this month but I must have caught it just in time when DTD on day 12.
3. i did BBT for first time this month which actually put ovulation on day 13, so my peak OPK on day 11 was quite a bit earlier than I ovulated.
4. ive had a cold since last week and although temps have been raised indicating ovulation, I wasn’t sure j could trust them plus chart is all over the place.
5. no obvious implantation signs or dip
6. no symptoms so far!!

i hope this helps as I know I’ve looked a lot at the journeys on here and it’s made me expect certain things to happen/certain signs but actually I’ve had few of those but still BFP!

Just to follow up and say this turned out to be a chemical - had good positives Friday - Sunday but my temps didn’t look good (as you can see in chart) so was expecting this to happen and today tests have gone to negative :(

@AnonyHB sorry to hear, cp are really horrible rollercoasters- you positive one day, then negative 😔 Just lots of hugs from me ❤️
