Hi all,

I am out for this month on my first cycle TTC baby number 2. Have a 3 year old already and I am approaching 35years old. June was a relaxed TTC month but determined to use OPKS and be a bit more strategic this month. Looking forward to tracking our progress together this month - feel free to introduce yourself below!

That looks strong to me @theodora2146. How many DPO are you and what time frame did this come up in??

massive congrats @KangaMumma that is wonderful news! Did you have any symptoms?

I'm about 9/10DPO I'll test again in a couple of days to make sure I'm not seeing things lol

theodora2146 · 14/07/2023 11:58

I couldn't help myself this morning 😅

Got the the faintest line but I'm not sure if this is evap?

Yay! I would try a different brand as I did these too this cycle and when compared to other brands it was always so much feinter.

KangaMumma · 14/07/2023 21:32

@GLC789 the app probably just gives you a big window to test for LH as some people ovulate much earlier. A faint line probably just means ovulation is approaching. I've always had at least a faint line when I've used the LH strip tests. It goes from faint one day to very dark the next.

@theodora2146 I would certainly call that a positive! Did you test again?

@AnonyHB Thank you! I had felt some kind of twinges in my tummy for a few days, not crampy so it felt different to premenstrual cramps. Also a little nauseous since Sunday and sore boobs but I have had those other months that I wasn't pregnant. The nausea has already started getting worse and I am absolutely exhausted, went to bed at 7.30pm last night! Still very excited! Getting a scan on Wednesday to check it's in the right place as my last was ectopic. I have a good feeling about this one though!

theodora2146 · 15/07/2023 08:01

@KangaMumma I've not tested again, I'll give it a couple more days. What other brand should I try? @Drttc

Maybe Clearblue with weeks indicator (so not the blue dye) if you test after day of missing period. If before day of missed period First Response Early Result :-)

theodora2146 · 15/07/2023 17:46

I've been feeling really hot the past couple of days, like hot flushes before AF is due but I've had a faint positive. I'm gonna test again on Monday, AF due on Wednesday. Boobs feel very sore and heavy and look very veiny! Soreness I usually get a couple of days before AF never a week before so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

AnonyHB · 16/07/2023 16:08

Hi everyone,

I am CD24 and about 10DPO. Had negative pregnancy test today and yesterday but had some odd symptoms this month, namely some brown spotting yesterday (9DPO) and when I brushed my teeth last night and spat out the toothpaste it was red ish, so assuming some blood - have never bled when brushing that I can recall in my life! Had some horrible pains yesterday, started with back ache and then got a weird stitch like pain in and around my belly button that last for about an hour. All of these are very out of ordinary for me - I never have any spotting mid cycle, have a 28 day cycle, had positive/static OPK on day 13 and DTD CD9, CD11, CD13 this month. I hoped all of these strange symptoms in last 48 hours would mean pregnancy so feeling pretty deflated about the negative tests (1 normal, 1 FRER) :(

AF due Friday.

Oh and woke up feeling sick in the night and had to sit up for about half hour as every time I went to lay down I felt sick. Again this absolutely never happens unless I have a virus/vomming bug.

@AnonyHB this sounds really positive! But if those symptoms from yesterday were implantation (which they sound like), a test today would be pretty early! Give it a couple of days and then fingers crossed you'll get a BFP! ❤️

@theodora2146 hopefully your faint positive sticks around and gets darker! 😁

BB2023 · 16/07/2023 18:04

Hi ladies, I've been pretty quiet on here this cycle - currently CD20 / 2DPO.
Feeling quite tired today as OV a couple of days ago and my boobs are sore (always happens after OV).
Hope you're all doing well xx

I did a couple cheapies this afternoon, one from boots and one from superdrug. Both negative but perhaps that's because I didn't test first thing? I couldn't help myself and want to do it right away purely from the symptoms I've been having, although boob soreness has settled a bit.

AnonyHB · 17/07/2023 07:10

Thanks @Hotmalibu94 but another BFN this morning so think I’m probably out this month :( good luck everyone and @theodora2146 hope you get a strong BFP

I think I'm out this month, AF due on Wednesday. I did a boots early response this morning and was negative, I think the CB early response I did must have been an evap, I won't be using them again!

Good luck everyone!

AnonyHB · 17/07/2023 09:22

So disappointing @theodora2146 sorry to hear and hopefully better luck for both of us next month x

@theodora2146 I had a clear blue evap even on their pink line test this month. It was right at 9 minutes so just at the end of the range, negative on a FRER. I swore I'd never use them again.

LightBlueJeans · 17/07/2023 19:55

Hello ladies - thanks for sharing your stories, it's good not to feel alone in this!!

DH and I have just started TTC no.1. This is month 1 and I'm on cycle day 14. I've been using natural cycles for a while now but switched my app to 'plan pregnancy' at the beginning of this cycle. In previous months according to the app I've ovulated between day 15 to day 19.

We DTD on day 13 and are planning on twice more in the next 5 days. Tricky to fit in more than that this week due to work schedules etc!!

It's only cycle 1 so don't want to get my hopes up too much. But now that we feel ready to have a baby, I would so love for it to happen soon.

Good luck to you all Star

ReginaPhalange12 · 17/07/2023 23:59

Hi 👋🏼 joining this thread as TTC #2 (hopefully) this week as I am due to ovulate in the next few days, currently using cheap OPKs but waiting on some Easy@Home tests to arrive tomorrow. It feels really intense this time, I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older (37) or because my DC is 3.5 and I am conscious of a bigger age gap 🤷🏽‍♀️

Good luck to everyone currently TTC & congratulations to those who have had recent BFPs.

AnonyHB · 18/07/2023 06:16

Welcome @LightBlueJeans and @ReginaPhalange12. the scheduling of sex becomes a full time job in itself 😂 and I know what you mean @ReginaPhalange12 i’m feeling the pressure as I’m over 35 and have a 3 year old. Also have unrealistic expectations because I got pregnant first cycle before. Keep wishing I’d started this a year ago or so. I’ve actually bought some private female hormones (including progesterone) and AMH for £80 which arrive today. I think I’d rather know from the staff if things look ok as a baseline because if there are issues I can deal with them now rather than months of disappointment at end of TWW!

Hi all!

TTC #2
BF my little boy exclusively up until Jan, now BF once a day (he’s nine months old)
Got my period back when he was 12 weeks old and has been very regular.
I have been tracking ovulation since Jan. we had originally planned to start trying for no2 in nov/dec but we just decided this month, “if it happens, it happens”

we did the sperm meets egg plan with no1 this time I was still tracking ovulation but because we hadn’t really said yes we’re trying this month as such we didn’t do the sperm meets egg plan.

I got positive OPK on sat 15th we dtd on sat and Sunday.
since Sunday I have had constant cramps which I never normally get post ov.
from what iam remembering I had constant cramps early on with first baby
currently on 3dpo- anyone else?

1 dpo-Crampy
2dpo- Crampy all day, felt crampy overnight aswell, feel bloated in lower abdomen, slightly tired. Sharp twinges in pelvis area in evening
3-dpo (currently) continuous dull cramps

babano2 · 18/07/2023 09:00

I meant BF exclusively to April

theodora2146 · 19/07/2023 14:23

Officially out this month AF arrived like clock work today 😢

Hotmalibu94 · 19/07/2023 14:31

Awww @theodora2146 I'm sorry 💕 on to the next cycle!

AnonyHB · 19/07/2023 15:56

That sounds positive @babano2 although BF can obviously affect things a bit.

im also out @theodora2146 - AF arrived today, 2 days early! I’m a bit worried as this cycle has been 27 days, last cycle was 28, before then every cycle has been 29 days since I got my period back after having my daughter. I’m only 35 but panicking about perimenopause as my cycles are getting shorter!

OP posts:
theodora2146 · 19/07/2023 15:59

@AnonyHB my cycle ranges from 26-28 days, Im 37 so I wouldn't worry too much as it sounds like yours is still in the normal range for a regular cycle

AnonyHB · 19/07/2023 16:11

Thanks. Think it’s just because I got used to them being a perfectly timed occurrence and very regular whereas they have been a day or two shorter recently and it’s worrying me, as is everything, in case it’s an impact on fertility. Also interesting that it’s coincided with TTC, so wonder if stress has anything to do with it! Also very stressed at work last month or so!
