Hi all,

I am out for this month on my first cycle TTC baby number 2. Have a 3 year old already and I am approaching 35years old. June was a relaxed TTC month but determined to use OPKS and be a bit more strategic this month. Looking forward to tracking our progress together this month - feel free to introduce yourself below!

@AnonyHB Thank you for that and for being welcoming its good to be able to talk to others who are also TTC good luck with this month to you and @Drttc congrats

jules5232 · 04/07/2023 17:28

10dpo and bfn. I kinda thought this was our month for some reason so a little let down. I've been feeling on and off dizziness for a few days but it must be for some other reason! I know there's still a chance that a test will show positive in a few days but I doubt it, so mentally onto cycle 7. I think this month I'm giving up opks, as my ovulation is pretty predictable anyway, and hopefully think about counting down the days a little less.
Hope everyone else is having a nice start to the week and feeling good!

Mummytobe2023 · 04/07/2023 21:10

Hello everyone - is it ok if I join? I’m soon to be 36 and TTC #1 following a MMC in April at 9 weeks which led to a D&C so my cycle still isn’t quite back to normal. Previously had a regular cycle and hoping it all goes back to normal soon!

J0lly · 05/07/2023 20:53

Hello all. Jumping in too.

@Drttc massive congratulations! Exciting news.

I'm currently 11dpo, too anxious to test and get a neg so trying to hold off until Friday at earliest, easier said that done. Already have a 15 month old, so TTC for second time, only cycle 1.

Fingers crossed for you all this month 🤞🏼 ✨

theodora2146 · 06/07/2023 11:28

Morning all!

Has anyone experienced strong cramping following DTD and ovulation?

I hit my peak yesterday and I think I ovulated today, dtd last night and today I've got lots of dull cramping which I've not experienced before!

AnonyHB · 07/07/2023 07:12

Morning everyone, great to have you here. Sorry to hear about your loss @Mummytobe2023 and totally get your frustration @jules5232. Not sure of your age but if over 6 months of TTC you can request tests if you’re 35+.

I don’t think I’ve ovulated this month. Got peak on OPK two days ago but not my usual signs of cramps/sore boobs so think perhaps no egg this month :(

@theodora2146 these are good signs :)

Joining in a little late here. I am TTC number 2. This is the third cycle trying after a ruptured ectopic in March. Ovulated on the 29th June, planning to test pretty early as I need to start blood tests asap if I do fall to check for another ectopic. The last one happened very early at 4+5 and I don't want to lose another tube! I am not handling the TWW well at all 🙃 Not helped by a change in my PMS symptoms since the ectopic.
Good luck to everyone testing today!

Drttc · 07/07/2023 07:58

Thank you for the well
wishes! I’m nervously testing everyday for signs of good progression (due to my history). Have even booked an early reassurance scan for just over two weeks today (I know it’s a bit silly)!

I’m 14dpo today and after a lot of apparent agonising the CB decided to tick over to 2-3 weeks which is a good start.

I'm 2dpo today. According to OPKS I ovulated early at CD10 after an early AF last month. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm really not hopeful as we only dtd twice , once the day before and one day of ovulation, also read that early ovulation doesn't give the egg enough time to mature.

AnonyHB · 07/07/2023 22:27

@Drttc i was like this with my first (nervous and testing all the time). But equally it’s such an exciting time :)

I’m wondering how everyone’s DH is/how they feel about potential pregnancy and the TTC journey. My situation is a bit complex. I definitely want another DC more than my husband does…

@AnonyHB my DH is quite excited and mentions it a lot ATM 😅 we are on cycle 2 if TTC number 1. We had been talking about having a baby when we came back from a trip away but then I ended up with some work issues which ended the day his brother announced they were having a baby! So that evening I asked him what he thought and we decided to go for it 😁

Hotmalibu94 · 08/07/2023 07:30

Finally coming up to the fertile window (ovulation expected Monday) so dtd regularly currently to try and catch it!

Jlou22 · 08/07/2023 10:55

Hi all update from me - TTC been trying for 6 mnths My letual stage is short 8-10 days am taking vit c supplements and going to have acupuncture to see if helps make it longer, anyone have the same problem or had success of conceiving with short letual stages? Or any advice? I know it can be an indication of low progesterone but gotta wait til end of month to see GP and not sure they will do anything as nhs and not been trying for 12mnthd yet

Bailem · 08/07/2023 14:20

@AnonyHB My OH is very chilled, doesn't seem to notice the TTC journey apart from during fertile week 🤣 I'm sure he thinks I'm a bit crazy peeing on a stick every day!

J0lly · 08/07/2023 14:30

14dpo, cd27. Tested and neg. Expected. When I first fell pregnant in 2021, I didn't test until I was 4 days late. Wish I had the same restraint. I also used a cheapy off Amazon today. I think I will see what happens over next few days and test using frer or cb digital mid week.

Symptoms are heavy, veiny boobs (not painful), sooo tired. This is the same as 2021 but not sure if I'm now thinking and hoping it's happening again.

Hope everybody is feeling well and positive for this month 🤞🏼✨

AnonyHB · 09/07/2023 06:48

Sorry to hear it’s a bfn @J0lly.

not sure about luteal length @Jlou22 But I would go to GP even though it’s not been 12 months as certain issues (not saying this is one, I don’t know!) will trigger fertility referrals regardless (eg PCOS that causes very long cycles or no period) and this can differ by geographical area as well. So I would definitely say have a chat with GP and see what they say :)

@AnonyHB Thanks

jules5232 · 09/07/2023 12:24

@AnonyHB I am 3 months short of 35! At my last appointment they suggested I wait until a year of trying since that's how long it took the first time around and my cycles are normal.

Also, I also want more DC than my husband does. Our first was a much bigger adjustment than he expected. I'd have so many more, but we've agreed that trying for one more is it. If we don't get another it's okay but we will stop with 2. If it was up to me I'd have more

GLC789 · 09/07/2023 12:32

Hey!

I'm 35 and hubby and I are TTC #1!

AF came and was all done and dusted 3 days ago.

I'm using natural cycles but honestly don't know what the hell I'm doing 😂😂😂

KangaMumma · 09/07/2023 22:56

@AnonyHB that's so tricky for you. My DH definitely wants another one but is struggling to understand why it's so hard for me to just 'not think about and wait and see' in the TWW.

Tested negative today 9/10DPO so I'll be surprised if I test positive later now but I guess it's not over until it's over. Period due on Friday.

KangaMumma · 09/07/2023 22:58

@GLC789 my one piece of advice is have sex daily or every other day from about 5 days before your predicted ovulation. Sperm can last 5 days so your best chance is to go for it prior to and then on the day of ovulation, rather than just waiting for ovulation.

GLC789 · 09/07/2023 23:04

@KangaMumma Thank you so much xx

AnonyHB · 10/07/2023 13:58

I second this advice from @KangaMumma! it’s still not a guarantee of course but assuming you’ve no fertility issues if you have sex every other day during fertile window (4 days before ov and on day of ov) you’re giving yourself the best chance. I think every other day supposed to be better as if every day sperm quality not as good (if you’re giving sperm donations they ask you haven’t had sex or masturbated for 48 hours!)

So today is O day according to Flo 😅
Absolute banging headache today so not sure we'll be DTD tonight but we did on Thursday, Friday and Sunday so hopefully if we don't manage tonight that'll catch it 🤞

LucyLou0527 · 10/07/2023 20:46

Could I have advice please?
