Hi everyone!

I'm new to this but have been reading (probably too much) about your success stories

I'm 28 and myself and my partner have been trying for 5 cycles, I'm in the TWW at the minute so keeping everything crossed that this is the month

I've definitely got it in my head that I won't be able to get pregnant even though I've had tests (hertility) done and all came back fine.

I've been off the pill for 1.5 years, I was using natural cycles and we would avoid the 'red' days, now we're actively trying I thought it would be a lot easier and quicker than it is.

Please can someone give me some reassurance and share your stories?

For context, my periods are regular, around 29-33 days and ovulation tests/bbt show I'm ovulating every month

Thank you!!!

Hello lovely,
I am 30! We are on our fourth cycle TTC too! And we haven’t used contraception in a long time, like you, using peak ovulation indicators to not do it! We have very similar stories… Currently in my 2WW, 9DPO… A negative again this morning but AF isn’t due until Tuesday. Quite down about the whole thing! Not a reassurance story as such but know there are others out there in the same position :-) x

@Ems1992 Hiya lovely. It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one! Two of my friends got pregnant very quickly so it's hard to not compare. Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon!! 🩷

I got my BFP yesterday :-) so fingers crossed for you! I’m only 10DPO… so very early in the game!! Here is the reassurance you may need that it will happen :-) xx

I’m 28 too and was using the natural method to avoid days I thought I was fertile too. I have pcos as well so figured it’d be even harder. A few months in I found out I was pregnant by accident. That was last year.
In the past few months I’ve been actively trying, tracking and all sorts, and nothing so far. I sometimes get frustrated because I got pregnant when I wasn’t trying and now that I am, it’s not happening. But because I know I can get pregnant, I know it’s just one of those things. There is sometimes nothing wrong and it just depends which one sticks!

@Ems1992 omg congratulations!!!! Grin so happy for you!! Did you have any symptoms before your positive??

So I had sore boobs but I get that as PMS anyway… I also had backache (I actually said to my DH that I felt as though I was getting a kidney infection as I hadn’t drank a lot through the hot weather) today I am very very very tired! X

DramaAlpaca · 17/06/2023 17:54

It's a long time ago, but I conceived aged 28 on my 11th cycle. Wishing you lots of luck. You're young and you have time on your side.

Oh, and second and third time I conceived much more quickly, first and fourth months.

Kilminchy123 · 17/06/2023 18:58

Hey. I was 28 with my DS and conceived after 6 months. Like you I was genuinely convinced that there was something wrong as I thought it should be so much easier to conceive, I had been on the pill before this for years. I then got pregnant two months ago without actually trying (ended in miscarriage) . Currently trying to conceive since and 7/8dpo xx

95rose · 17/06/2023 19:54

Thank you all for sharing your stories, you've given me hope!! 🩷 I'm currently 4dpo so time will tell xx

I'm currently 7dpo and haven't felt any symptoms as of yet. How common is implantation bleeding or symptoms at this stage? I feel tired but I do every day regardless 😂 thanks!

Hey! We’re in similar situations, I’m 26, TTC #1 and on our 6th cycle!

I’ve also convinced myself that it won’t happen, which I know is irrational at this stage but I’m an over thinker when it comes to this. I was convinced it’d happen straight away 🥲

I’m 9/10 DPO today so we’ll see what happens this cycle.

Baby dust to you 🥰

95rose · 20/06/2023 10:08

@kalixxx it's hard to not stress about it isn't it! Fingers crossed and all the baby dust to you x x

Hello, I've just turned 27. I came off the implant last October, got pregnant straight away but had a chemical pregnancy. It then took me 4 cycles to get pregnant again, went for my 12 week scan last week & baby died at 8+3, had a miscarriage last week. We want to start trying right away, but i kept reading it can take up to a year for healthy couples to conceive. X

95rose · 21/06/2023 08:39

@midnights0 I'm so sorry to hear this. It's just awful. Sending you all the love and baby dust 🩷 I've read the same too. It just feels like everyone around me got pregnant really fast and as this is my first I'm worried about whether it will ever happen but I guess everyone does until they fall pregnant! X

Currently 8dpo and did a test this morning - BFN!! I think it may be a little early but I'm losing hope as no symptoms yet.

Hey can I join? Currently 1DPO according to BBT app but I think I'm 2-3DPO from CM and ovulation tests.
TTC number 1. This is our second month trying. Have been off birth control for 3 years, used natural cycles. Had a few months in those 3 years where ovulation dates changed and we'd had sex on red days but never ended up pregnant. Can't help the anxiety that something is wrong, which I'm fully aware is insane at only cycle 2 of trying properly haha!

Hope we all get a lovely summer baby ASAP😊

BudgetBuster · 21/06/2023 10:44

Hey everyone, I am 30 and TTC since July 2022. We unfortunately had 2 miscarriages in between. As each month passes that we don't get pregnant I try to remind myself that each new cycle brings it own fresh odds - so I think it's a 20% probability each month at 30. Not getting pregnant last cycle has no bearing on this cycle if your tests were all good. Best of luck!

95rose · 21/06/2023 10:47

@riverlodge90 I'm shocked to find out there's loads of people with similar stories to ours! I'm trying to tell myself it can take time but every month it's deflating to get the negative. Hopefully it happens for us both soon 🩷

OP posts:
riverlodge90 · 21/06/2023 10:55

@95rose totally! I thought as I'd done lots to prep it should happen first cycle. Hopefully not long for us both!

kalixxx · 21/06/2023 13:41

I caved at 10/11 DPO today and tested, BFN ☹️

I’m hoping it’s because I’m too early and it was after a 3 hour hold, will try again tomorrow with FMU!

I had a negative on 8dpo and just got my BFP at 9dpo! Symptoms at this time are so hit and miss as there isn’t a missed period yet so try again tomorrow or Friday! 😃😃✨

95rose · 21/06/2023 14:53

@Kilminchy123 omg congratulations!!! So so happy for you🩷 did you have any symptoms or implantation bleeding?

OP posts:
Kilminchy123 · 21/06/2023 15:06

@95rose thanks so much!! So worried after loss but just trying to stay positive! No I had no implantation bleeding at all. I had some cramps 5dpo that felt very similar to a period , but I could have similar other months without noticing! No sore breasts , no tiredness. Feel very normal only I do have a swelling feeling in my lower stomach. Also yday I got very mild stitch like feelings in my pelvic area almost radiating toward my vagina but also had that last month . Didn’t think it would be my month at all !! Was way more symptomatic last month before AF 😂

riverlodge90 · 21/06/2023 19:13

@Kilminchy123 wow congratulations! Did you do anything different this cycle?

Kilminchy123 · 21/06/2023 20:11

@riverlodge90 thanks so much! So this month I did start taking Pregnacare Conception which I was scared to do as it can lengthen your luteal phase etc so wasn’t sure but said I’d chance them. Also used clear blue digital sticks (the two day surge ones they are pink as I couldn’t get the other ones) but I found them brilliant as we DTD way more as it gives a smiley for the surge when I used to really wait for my peak! (We have an 18 month so DTD is very much timed 😂) So we DTD 4 nights (night before surge (by chance), night of surge, night of peak, and day of ovulation. Other than that I just tried to eat cleaner more fruit and veg as I wouldn’t be the best normally 🙃
