@H0pefull @RoseH36 sorry you both seem to be out. Especially after those hopeful looking earlier tests. It's really rubbish and so hard because you try every time to not get your hopes up too much and then when AF arrives and you crash down you realise how much you were hoping even so. She's still keeping me waiting.

Interesting to hear more about the progesterone @TT82 @Floralsandsmiles . I've been listening to a podcast someone on here recommended "Don't tell me to relax" - all about fertility and they just did an episode on progesterone! Was interesting.

Mrsspoon3 · 11/07/2023 08:56

Thanks @SnookyPook and @VixFromThe6ix, that’s a good idea to post on the forum.

Ah Im so sorry @H0pefull, it’s hard not to get your hopes up! I had 3 chemicals getting faint lines for a few days last time we were trying and it’s so hard. Hope you’re feeling ok and that you get your BFP very soon!!

xxcxdonxx · 11/07/2023 09:03

@Floralsandsmiles @VixFromThe6ix @TT82 that’s interesting to hear about your experience with progesterone. My last few cycles I have had spotting from 7dpo until my period arrives and i wondered if it was due to low progesterone. I have tried different vitamins this month to see if it made any difference but it could be be a million other things!

xxcxdonxx · 11/07/2023 09:08

@VixFromThe6ix @Eirlys1986 @SnookyPook I am loving all of your positivity!
When I had told a friend about my mmc, she had said that the baby was very much loved even if it was only with us for a little while. It really stuck with me because it’s true. I felt so silly for getting attached to my little mmc baby for it to end badly but I shouldn’t have, of course I would be excited about who was in there!
I am saying all of this and hopefully I get to put all this positivity into practice soon 🤞🏻

SnookyPook · 11/07/2023 09:12

@xxcxdonxx love this! A new recruit for The Positive Nancy's 😄 you can play banjo 👍🏻😆

RoseH36 · 11/07/2023 09:15

@SnookyPook thank you. DH says its probably normal that my body feels like it's played tricks on me given that it wasn't long ago since my last mc and maybe it's still healing, even though it was very early days.

Eirlys1986 · 11/07/2023 10:51

@SnookyPook woah woah woah! I thought I was the banjo player? That’s it, I’m leaving 😑

SnookyPook · 11/07/2023 12:19

@Eirlys1986 😆😩 gargh! Sorry, had you on panpipes! Maybe @xxcxdonxx will be willing to swap? Don't leeeeave!!

P.S. AF has arrived.. back to CD1!

VixFromThe6ix · 11/07/2023 12:24

@SnookyPook @Eirlys1986 @xxcxdonxx hi band members!!! So pipes, banjo, what are Snooky and I on??

Btw you ladies ever have periods that are just light in nature?? Having one of those and wondering if this is some hormone thing.

Eirlys1986 · 11/07/2023 12:31

@VixFromThe6ix you are on glockenspiel and @SnookyPook on lute. It’s going to sound amazing.
I am generally quite lucky with periods being light. How light are we talking?

SnookyPook · 11/07/2023 12:32

@VixFromThe6ix we need some kind of Mother Earth drummy thing don't we? And vocals... Possibly with tambourine 😆

I once had a light kind of pinky/bright red bleed after what I think was an anovulatory cycle (49 day cycle after a very stressful time in my life - PhD submission!!) ?!

RoseH36 · 11/07/2023 12:44

@SnookyPook bagsy the vocals!! And sorry to hear AF has arrived. Still no sign of it over here but sure it won't be long.

Floralsandsmiles · 11/07/2023 12:58

H0pefull · 11/07/2023 07:08

Thank you @Eirlys1986 🤍 hope you are ok xx

@H0pefull I'm so very sorry! And also how insensitive that my messages were this morning as I replied to the ladies who wrote back and it meant that I skipped past your message before expressing my sorrow. I'm really sorry and sending you hugs! Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles I am 41, since 40 had 4 cp (last cycle incl). After 6m and first cp my dr said it is more age related and egg quality..but that I could try. So since last September I was on them but only one every night from 4dpo (as if too early it creates mucus and like might prevent from fertilisation). Then was nothing till last cycle (well maybe a few cp but i didn't test early at all). Last cycle I was on them, but still cp which tells me egg quality an issue. But then I worry with age and previous two premature deliveries (both kids at 32w also this funny shape of uterus heart like), so decided still take them.
I didn't have spotting (even implantation 😟). I am due to start ivf process after this cycle, they said I can continue taking progesterone when in between trying naturally, even to increase 2 per day (each 200mg), but that no real evidence I need..

So I take them. You need to have day liner all the time as too much mucus but otherwise they are ok... Just yes at the beginning you might think - o tired, breast sensitive and bigger, must be pregnant so early....nope just progesterone 😅.
I do the tests like 13-14dpo and if negative stop taking them.

Good luck!

Hi again @TT82 ! Thank you so much for all this information! Its really helpful!
So I have been given norethisterone 5mg tablets and told to take one 3x a day, the Dr said to start 10 days before my period, but not how long to take them for and its not on the packet! Help! When am I supposed to stop them? @Eirlys1986 is this something you would know? Xxx

Sorry to hear on your spotting @xxcxdonxx . You're right it could he down to so many factors! But I would ask GP to check your progesterone levels? This could help decide if that is the problem? Xxx

TT82 · 11/07/2023 13:54

@Floralsandsmiles oh sorry, don't know about those specific pills. I am taking Utrogestan 200mg in the morning and 200mg evening, vaginally..
Better check with dr for your case xx

Thank you @TT82 😊 the Dr was from the hospital, so if I rang my GP I don't think they would know annoyingly. The Dr just said 10 days before period. So I am assuming its for 10 days to take them and then stop? Xxx

TT82 · 11/07/2023 14:30

@Floralsandsmiles it is usually for second part of the cycle, then you stop and take again next cycle. If po usually 14 days abd you remove like 3-4 days po than it makes sense.
I also take appr that time, stsrt on 4dpo, then if no positive I stop. Then next cycle again

VixFromThe6ix · 11/07/2023 14:34

@Eirlys1986 omg had to look up glockenspiel 🤣🤣🤣

It's just light. Usually I get gushes of clots and lots of blood on heavy days, but nothing so far. When I wee, I see some clots but the pad is barely red. Tmi, sorry. It's just strange how some cycles I get heavy flow changing my heavy pad like 4 times a day and some cycles are like this where I could use the same pad for days (except obviously I don't that's just gross ahaha). I wonder why this is

Thanks @TT82 😊what's appr? I will start on 4dpo, then test on 14dpo, if negative I will stop for af. I have messaged my gp, but will suspect they don't know as it was the gynaecology Dr that prescribed. Stupid me for not asking 😒 xxx

H0pefull · 11/07/2023 15:51

@Floralsandsmiles don’t worry lovely it wasn’t insensitive! I find it difficult to keep up with posts on here sometimes 😂 thank you very much, started spotting today so assuming AF is coming as predicted, we will see what next month brings. Lots of love to you xxx

Aww honey @H0pefull , I'm thinking of you and hope you get some clarity soon. Sending you lots of hugs xxx

TT82 · 11/07/2023 16:15

@Floralsandsmiles sorry, I meant approximately 10 days - start 4dpo and then stop 14dpo

RoseH36 · 11/07/2023 17:50

@VixFromThe6ix wonder if it's just a change in hormones? I usually get pre-spotting for a couple of days, 1 day of quite heavy bleeding and then 2 days light. The day of heavy bleeding has definitely become heavier since the mmc in January, I get through quite a lot of pads over 24 hours before it eases off.
