Third cycle ttc #1, 2nd cycle using opks.

Ovulated yesterday (peak on Wednesday) and dtd Wednesday night.

I've got 23-25 day cycles and seem to have a 11 day luteal phase, so due on the 30th.

Anyone else around the same dpo wanting to ride the tww out together?

Hoping to hold off on testing until I'm 10dpo at the earliest, but we'll see.

Gearing up for the symptom spotting to begin in a week or so, even though I know I shouldn't.

@ddaisynner Omgosh, that's so funny! And a good reminder every pregnancy is different. So will you find out gender this time? I think I want a surprise! My attic is also RAMMED with clothes 🤣

ddaisynner · 26/05/2023 14:58

@LeopardLover I would defo find out, I'm to curious to leave it to the last minute c": I love the idea to stay team green but I know I couldn't do it I'm so impatient and I just love buying clothes 🙈🙈

Amy95 · 26/05/2023 17:35

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ladies 😘 I cannot wait to have no alarm in the morning and off work till Tuesday 🙌

I didn't realise that's what green meant at baby showers 🤣 makes sense! I'm normally the same but as it'll probably be my last so I might keep an element of surprise. I hear you. My toddler's wardrobe is ridiculous whereas I'm living in old clothes 🤣

Hellsbells89 · 26/05/2023 20:13

@LeopardLover the easy @ home are the ones I have and have always been the best at early detection for me.

I did another cheaply test this morning and still positive and a stronger line. Will probably just keep going now daily to keep my mind at ease. I'm writing the DPO on them too so I can see progression.

LeopardLover · 26/05/2023 20:31

@Hellsbells89 Oh that's good to hear and so pleased you can see progression! Hurrah! 💜

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 27/05/2023 05:58

That's great news @Hellsbells89, so happy for you ☺️

Just done another test with fmu and still start white negative. I think I'll try to hold off on more testing unless AF is late. Due Tuesday so I'll test Wednesday fmu if no AF by then.

Hope everyone is all good 🥰

10dpo today and I'm convinced we've fallen this month. Either that or I'm getting ill haha🙃 I am EXHAUSTED, fell asleep on the sofa about 3pm today and I never do that. Also a bit crampy, headachey and I snapped at poor DH this morning over literally nothing bless him. My mood swings are awful 🙃

Holding out until at least 12dpo to test🤞🏻

Eeeek! These are classic pregnancy symptoms. Crossing all my fingers and toes for you! Well done for not testing early. If you feel awful tomorrow, maybe wee on a FRER if you have one 🤣

winterbabyrose · 29/05/2023 12:14

@LeopardLover I caved and did a test this morning, although realised I bought the wrong ones! Meant to buy the early FRER and just bought FRRR the rapid ones instead. Did a test anyway and was BFN.

Anyone in the UK know where you can buy FRER from? Haven seen them in any shops and the FR ones I ordered on Amazon weren't the early ones 🧐

Boots early tests are your best bet! I got my FRERs from Amazon but they are awful for indents at the moment. The Boots once are supposed to be great.

BudgetBuster · 29/05/2023 13:36

Boots early detection work just as good I find @winterbabyrose

ddaisynner · 29/05/2023 16:59

If you pop in first response early they come out on amazon but I do agree with the others the early boots are brilliant as well. Fingers crossed you get your bfp soon 🤞

8 dpo today and I feel normal lmao 🤣 oh well all the months I've been sympton Spotting this is the first one I actually feel normal 🙈

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 29/05/2023 19:59

That could be a good sign @ddaisynner I've seen a few people say the month they got their bfp was the month they had no symptoms.

AF due tomorrow and feels very much imminent, but we'll see.

Hi I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend ☺️
So we got home this evening and told myself I was going to wait till tomorrow morning to test with fmu, but I have no patience 😂 tested about half an hour ago and another bfn. AF due around Wednesday/Thursday so im going to test with my last FRER tomorrow morning and if negative again I'll stop and just wait for my period to arrive.
How's everyone else feeling?

Same here! 🤣 No symptoms or implantation bleeding / cramping yet. Patiently waiting to feel something 😉

@naggy095 What DPO are you? 😊 Good luck for tomorrow!

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess Hoping AF doesn't arrive tomorrow for you! 🙏🏻

naggy095 · 29/05/2023 20:38

@LeopardLover I'm 12dpo today so if it's negative again tomorrow then I know for sure I'm out

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 29/05/2023 20:54

@naggy095 it's entirely possible to get late bfp, so you're not out if you test negative at 12dpo. Some don't get bfp until after a missed period.

It all depends on when you implant and what your base hcg level is (between 1 and 5, different for everyone).

So, say you implant on 9dpo and use a Frer to test. If you only have a base hcg of 1, it would take 5 days to get a bfp on a FRER (14dpo). 7 days on a 10mui test (16dpo) and 9 days on a standard 25 mui test (18dpo).

If you're a late implanter and/or have a low base hcg, it can take longer to get a bfp. That's why they say you're not out until AF arrives.

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess Wow, I didn't know this! Fascinating!

naggy095 · 29/05/2023 21:11

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess I didn't know that about the base hcg! Thanks for the info, that's really interesting

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 29/05/2023 21:58

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend, and hopefully any bfns turn into bfps!

I’m 7dpo today and feel totally normal. A bit bloated but that could easily be AF approaching or the amount of food I’ve consumed this weekend 🙈

It’s been nice to not think about ttc too much over the weekend, but I’ve also got to that part of the 2ww where you lose hope a bit and fully expect to see AF by the weekend.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 30/05/2023 06:56

Yeah, you see so many people get early positives so when some reach a certain dpo and get a bfn, they just assume they're out because it would show by now, but it's really not that simple.

It's not just a hopeful saying, you really aren't out until AF shows.

You can also have exactly the same crampong/symptoms you usually would before AF and have a bfp. Symptom spotting is a roller coaster and we all do it, but it's essentially completely useless 😅

Gives us something to do in the tww though.

I know what you mean @Pastaf0rbreakfast I was very hopeful until about 8 or 9 dpo, then just felt like I kind of knew this wasn't my cycle. Despite the tiny spot of pink when I wiped at 6dpo (which I'm now pretty sure was a fluke, notmal and i never noticed before, or down a uti)

AF due today, feel exactly like normal on day of AF with more intense cramping and breast tenderness easing up. Logically, I know I could still be pregnant, but it's like I just 'know' I'm not if that makes sense.

I'm 99.99% sure AF will come today, but on the off-chance it doesn't, I'm not gonna test again til Thursday (which would be 14dpo).

2 cycles down and at least I know my luteal phase is just about long enough, as is the follicular phase (although was shorter this cycle than last), to be in the normal range. Low side of normal, but not necessarily an issue. I was pretty worried because my cycles are usually 23-25 days, so can be super short. 23 day cycle this time around, which is the shortest I get, and both phases still just about good enough, so that's at least some anxiety lessened!

Next on the list is to try and temp for a cycle to confirm I am actually ovulating.

Anyone close to testing or testing this morning?

Hellsbells89 · 30/05/2023 07:39

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess you know so much about all of this! Honestly you need a biology degree to get pregnant. So complex when you understand it all. I have short cycles too which I think is why I had a chemical back in Feb.
My friend told me that some woman are more fertile at a certain time of the year. If true then for me it's obviously May as my some is a Feb baby, and if this one sticks will be Feb too.

naggy095 · 30/05/2023 07:46

Bfn again and the period cramps are ramping up
No more testing for a few days, just going to wait until/ if AF arrives. If no period by Friday then I'll test again 😅

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 30/05/2023 07:49

I'm a feb baby too @Hellsbells89!

I actually secretly really don't mind if I don't conceive this cycle, worked out that the due date would be the day after my birthday 😅 cycle after this one would be super close to dp birthday as well.

I think there's something to do with womb temperature? So warmer months can be better for women who always have cold hands/feet. Better circulation of warm blood to the womb or something? Don't remember properly.

I'd love an April baby (the goldilocks month, not too warm and not too cold), which would be 3 cycles from now (cycle 5, this is cycle 2), so every non successful cycle until then I can just write off as 'practice' 😅

Obviously if I catch before then that's still great, but I'm keeping everything crossed for that April baba!
