I can see lots of TWW threads for end of April but I thought I’d start one for any of us who are 1dpo in early May.

I’m 1dpo today. Fourth cycle of trying for second baby. Ovulation day came a week early for us this week, but we DTD 3 times in the fertile window so I’m hopeful.

I don’t remember getting any early symptoms with my last pregnancy.

I usually test waaaay too much. So get ready to see loads of iffy faint lines -ha!

What about you?

@Stressedwithttc thank you, that’s eally reassuring! I got the very faintest line at 11 dpo with my daughter. We’ve got a busy weekend of socialising now so I wanted to test in case I should avoid all alcohol. I guess I should do anyway just in case. We managed to dtd on days 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18 and I think I ovulated on 18 (peak on 17). How are you feeling about this month?

Stressedwithttc · 20/05/2023 00:05

@KittyKat1989 I only managed day 0-1 and 0+1. Had a virus thing before that. Actually felt positive until the pains tonight but will wait till maybe Sunday (I hope I do, I've a habit of just impulse testing. The urge comes from nowhere) 😐🙈 with my DD I tested the day before and it was faint too. Good luck and enjoy yourself xx 😘

NiceParkingSpotRitaThanksJanet · 20/05/2023 07:05

Negative for me this morning at 10dpo on a sensitive test so I think I'm out for this month...feel quite sad, I'd convinced myself I had the same symptoms as last time and that I was in with a good chance. Good luck to everyone still waiting x

FindMyRainbow · 20/05/2023 08:18

Morning all. Glad there's still hope for some of you.

BPN here this morning but actually glad I joined @HavinKittens as this thread helps you know you're not alone and DH will never understand the symptom checking, constant inkling/questioning!

So, looking forward with others to next cycle:
OOO anyone here take conception pills/supplements or any other things that are supposed to help when TTC?

Think I might start tracking my BBT next month, haven't done that before.

What ovulation tests do people use?

Enjoy the sunshine today

Butterfly2000 · 20/05/2023 09:31

@NiceParkingSpotRitaThanksJanet There night still be a chance. Wait and see if AF is late maybe.

So I started spotting at brown at 8dpo with a bit of dark red blood and some a couple of big clots on one occasion when wiping, the browny red spotting has now continued for 3 days. All tests have been BFN's. My AF is normally really heavy day 1/2 with lots of pressure and cramping but I have none of that. Anyone had similar?

HavinKittens · 20/05/2023 09:32

Yes I am glad to have people to share in my obsession. I don’t like to overwhelm DH too much with all the info, he’s just not a control freak like me.

I take folic acid, vit d, and B6. The B6 has helped regulate and shorten my cycle I think. I was wondering if I should start taking co enzyme q10 as well.

I use the easy at home tests and thermometer.

I did a bit if research and bought these vitamins x

Joining the TWW. Had a late miscarriage in January, hoping for some good news but trying to not have my hopes too high

HavinKittens · 20/05/2023 10:52

Hi @Ttc2n welcome. I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
How are you doing?

OP posts:
CinderRosie · 20/05/2023 11:50

@FindMyRainbow im not taking anything fancy. Just a hair skin and nails vitamin from Lidl which has the recommended 400mg folic acid included. DH takes a normal multivitamin. This is only our second cycle TTC and will be the first 100% effort one (only DTD once in my FW last cycle) if we are still TTC in a few months will look at upping our game supplement wise!
I use clear blue advanced digital ovulation tests - a lot of people don’t rate them but I never get a true positive on cheapie strip OPKs, but I always do on the clear blue and AF always arrives 15 days after the static face. This month I have some Easy @ Home OPKs to do alongside out of interest though 😂

FindMyRainbow · 20/05/2023 19:29

@Butterfly2000 I've had that this year, Jan/Feb I kept convincing myself it was implantation bleeding because it was browny and small on wipes, but then haven't March/April. I read it can just be old blood but obviously when it's different to your normal you can't help but suspect it vpuld be something else! You never know....with my 2 previous pregnancies I've had implantation bleeding but I hadn't really realised at the time so it is tricky. Unfortunately may just be a wait and see...

FindMyRainbow · 20/05/2023 19:39

@CinderRosie do you mean people don't rate the clear blue smiley faces? That's what I've been using but only got a high (no peak) and have almost run out so thought about trying something else. (I had thought I'd not conceived last year after only a high not peak and then had success so I hadn't worried too much this month when it happened again).

Thanks @Sarahloudobby will look into those, have never heard/seen before.

I started taking evening primrose oil to help with increasing CM and think it does help if of interest to anyone. You only take at the beginning of cycle (musn't during ovulation). Alongside pregnacare but have had cold/chest infection so much since Feb I need to help my body get healthier!

CinderRosie · 20/05/2023 21:12

@FindMyRainbow yeah I read a lot of posts from women who don’t find Clearblue Advanced digital reliable but so far they’ve been bang on for me.

SoItGoesAgain · 21/05/2023 08:32

I'm just taking the pegnacare pre conception vitamins. Should I be taking more b6?

I used to take co enzyme q10 for my restless legs but found that it was so expensive.

HavinKittens · 21/05/2023 08:37

@SoItGoesAgain I took B6 to increase my luteal phase length. I don’t think you need to take it unless you have a problem with cycle regularity.

OP posts:
SoItGoesAgain · 21/05/2023 08:39

I have odd cycles @HavinKittens
One month is 28 days and then the following one is always much longer (between 30 and 35 days). Then the following month is always 28 days again.

Never makes any sense to me.

HavinKittens · 21/05/2023 12:51

Oh maybe it could help then? It’s not too expensive. My cycle reduced from 35 days to 30. I’m just waiting to see if it’s 30 again this month.

Hi Ladies, has this happened to anyone before?
I had brown discharge on Tuesday and thought it was AF coming, then Wednesday Thursday I had a short period - I bled had to change few pads but not as heavy as usual, then Friday Saturday and today back to the brown discharge but only using panty liners.

So I did a pregnancy test on a cheapie this morning, and this came up (see image)
I did another cheapie straight after this one, and it was negative.
What is happening?

Come wait with me - May TWW
HavinKittens · 21/05/2023 17:09

@Enn1234 I guess it could be an evap if the other one was negative? How many dpo would you be now?

18 dpo
I hate these cheapies, gave me false hope :(
Not sure what happened with my period either
Onto the next month..

HavinKittens · 21/05/2023 17:16

My period was pretty light this month, I even did a test too just to be sure but it was negative ofc.
I think by 18dpo you’d have a strong line so yeah it’s probably a crappy evap :( sorry, I hate that they do this!

Is any one else due AF in the few days? I due anytime now till Thursday as irregular cycles, but don't feel any different

teaontap21 · 21/05/2023 18:01

@Harriet669 I'm starting my two week wait today so behind you.

Do you normally have a lot of symptoms leading up to your period? Both my previous pregnancy's the only symptom I had early on was just the absence of any period symptoms. So much so that I hadn't realised I was late both times as I usually have strong pms, cramps, bloating etc. Have you noticed anything not usual for you?

Vic231 · 21/05/2023 19:15

@Harriet669 I'm due AF today and my periods are usually like clockwork but nothing yet today. I've taken a test but BFN. There are a few hours left of today but it would be typical on my first month of TTC that it's late and I'm not pregnant 😂
