Hi ladies

I thought I’d create this thread if anyone wants to jump on.

I have a little boy who was 2 in April šŸ’–

we decided in March to start trying for baby #2 and we were delighted to get pregnant that same month! Unfortunately we lost the baby at the end of April at 6w 4d

The MC is completed and I have taken an OPK this morning which looks to be really high. Not quite peak but definitely high which is just great that I’m ovulating again! I didn’t know what would happen. We both feel ready to try again this month so will be going for it.

Whether you’re TTC baby #1 #2 #3 etc you’re welcome to jump on ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Sez281 · 17/07/2023 09:59

Hi ladies just an update,I think it might be a chemical for me. 😭My lines got darker but I've started spotting this morning and quite crampy (AF was due 4 days ago) I'm on holidays at the moment so can't go to doc till next week. I'm just going to wait and see if spotting gets worse as the day goes on but I have a very bad feeling 😢

Hankthehonk · 17/07/2023 10:43

@Sez281 so sorry to read this. Of course, it might still be ok. Are you going to get hold of tests on holiday or do anything else, or just wait it out?

My update is I had a private scan this morning and saw a good heartbeat, baby measuring at 8 weeks as expected. Which officially means we got further than last time, when I lost the baby at 8w2d but it had stopped growing.
I was up most of the night with nerves so now I'm at work exhausted and unfocused. I feel tentatively relieved for now, now need to count the days until my 12 week scan on 11 August.

Sez281 · 17/07/2023 11:07

@Hankthehonk I think all I can do is keep testing and wait and see if spotting gets heavier. I'm only 4w2d so praying it's just implantation but I do have a very bad feeling that it's chemical 😢 If lines start fading over next few days I'll know for definite 😢 My head is all over the place googling today but all I can do is wait and see

Congratulations on your scan, it must be such a relief 😊I totally get it about counting days till the 12 week one. I was also 8w2d on my MMC so I can only imagine the relief of getting past that milestone

Strawb28 · 17/07/2023 12:10

@Sez281 oh no I am so sorry to hear this! This is my fear as well as I experienced this with my first pregnancy! I have read though spotting can be completely normal. Is it dark brownish or red? I really hope it goes OK for you!!

@Hankthehonk i am so glad your scan went well you must feel relieved! Was there a little heartbeat?

Sez281 · 17/07/2023 12:43

@Strawb28 it's after getting heavier like proper AF so I'm 100% sure that it's a chemical now 😭😭

Strawb28 · 17/07/2023 13:36

@Sez281 omg I am so sorry 😄😄😄😄 can't believe that it's so disheartening when the tests have got darker!! Had they got super dark for you and everything? I don't understand these chemicals they break our heart.

Hankthehonk · 17/07/2023 14:26

@Sez281 oh no, I'm so so sorry to read this. I hope that you are ok and have the support around you that you need.

@Strawb28 yes, thank you, we saw a good wee heartbeat today

DmcinT · 17/07/2023 15:13

@Sez281 I am so so sorry 😣 keeping everything crossed that it’s still going to be ok but such a difficult time for this to happen when ur away ā¤ļø

Sez281 · 17/07/2023 16:13

Thanks all, I'm very sad but I'm ok. I was testing every couple of days and they were definitely getting darker. I hadn't done one in about 3 days. I had quite moderate cramps yesterday and my breasts weren't sore anymore so I kind of knew something wasn't right and wasn't really surprised when I started bleeding today 😢 What is crazy is that I just tested again and there's no line. I thought it would take a few days at least for HCG to go down. Its definitely tough being away as I'd have loved to go to my doc to get bloods done just to be sure. My DP has been amazing though, and he's googling away all day telling me that chances of conceiving again after chemical are really good šŸ™ I'm just going to have to do LH tests like a lunatic after it as I've no idea when I'll ovulate now and the app definitely doesn't look right date wise

xxcxdonxx · 17/07/2023 16:31

I’m so sorry to read this @Sez281 , chemicals are so cruel.
If it’s any help, I ovulated pretty much on time after mine šŸ’œ

Sez281 · 17/07/2023 16:54

Thanks @xxcxdonxx that's really good to know. I'm going to start double testing as soon as AF goes. Reading a lot of hopeful stories on other threads about BFPs straight after chemical so hoping we get lucky šŸ™

Ttc2023x · 17/07/2023 18:55

So sorry @Sez281 šŸ˜ž i have had 2 chemicals & they are so cruel. Hope you are ok, its so disappointing but pleased to hear you are staying positive. Xx

Jadeypie · 17/07/2023 18:56

@Sez281 so so sorry to hear this! My heart goes out to you both ā¤ļø

Westy22 · 17/07/2023 20:06

Aww @Sez281 I'm sorry šŸ˜ž stay positive it will happen for you xx

SnookyPook · 17/07/2023 23:57

@Sez281 oh I'm so sorry, that's so sad. Hope you're ok. Love how supportive your DP is being.

@Hankthehonk so so glad to hear this update! First big milestone passed. Can only imagine the nerves going into that scan. So glad that all is on-track. ā¤ļøšŸŒˆ

SnookyPook · 18/07/2023 00:04

I found out yesterday that my best friend who was an absolute superstar when I had my loss, had a mc at 12wks a month and a half after mine 😩 she said she was so excited when she got her BFP and thought about us having little ones together, and then I had my loss and she didn't know how she was going to tell me... And then she had a loss too šŸ˜” She's extremely stoic about it - unfortunately her 5th loss. We both have little ones the same age which is how we met. I feel so awful for her and so hoping we get to have our rainbow babies together. She said she's only got one more try in her 🄺. We women are bloody amazing with what we go through and how we just carry on facing the world.

Sez281 · 18/07/2023 08:25

Thanks everyone, I'm doing ok. It's a good distraction being away with his family as I don't have too much time to dwell on it. Although the cramps are pretty awful šŸ˜ž so lashing painkillers in and the heat isn't helping 🄵😭

@SnookyPook Your friend sounds amazing, god love her she's been through the mill 😢

I have to say I find this group so helpful. I obviously hadn't told anybody at home about my BFP as it was so early. I was planning on telling my sister when I got home then immediate family after epau if things looked ok as they were all so heartbroken for us after MMC the last time, so weirdly I'm glad I never got to tell anyone except you ladies 🄹

Jadeypie · 18/07/2023 09:01

@SnookyPook awww that's so sad for your friend it's heartbreaking the loss we go through but as you say women are just soldiers šŸ’ŖšŸ»

@Sez281 I'm glad your finding some distractions to help u cope your doing brilliant 🄰 it's also fine not to cope aswell your partner sounds like he's doing a lovely job being supportive! This groups amazing and all of us will be here to support too xx

Hankthehonk · 18/07/2023 09:17

@SnookyPook thank you for your kind words. That is so sad about your friend, it's a small comfort for both of you to have each other's company on your journey but my heart breaks for any woman going through loss, especially multiple times like that. Totally understand why she feels like she can only keep trying for so long. I have a friend who had three consecutive losses before having her daughter and she has been such a support to me in this as well.

@Sez281 Glad the thread is helpful and that your holiday is a distraction. You might end up wanting to talk to someone in your life about this loss too, like your sister, I'm sure she would be there for you if she knew.

Sez281 · 18/07/2023 09:54

@Hankthehonk yeah I'll definitely tell her when I get home, I can't hide anything from her šŸ˜‚ She's so supportivešŸ’“. She actually went into labour on DS#2 the day I started medical management for my MMC in March so she was absolutely gutted for me šŸ˜žbut as heartbroken as I was, I was over the moon for her of course.
