Hi ladies

I thought I’d create this thread if anyone wants to jump on.

I have a little boy who was 2 in April šŸ’–

we decided in March to start trying for baby #2 and we were delighted to get pregnant that same month! Unfortunately we lost the baby at the end of April at 6w 4d

The MC is completed and I have taken an OPK this morning which looks to be really high. Not quite peak but definitely high which is just great that I’m ovulating again! I didn’t know what would happen. We both feel ready to try again this month so will be going for it.

Whether you’re TTC baby #1 #2 #3 etc you’re welcome to jump on ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

I would be approx 13/14 dpo at this stage so it's in line with a period or implantation bleeding so I can't really narrow it down either šŸ™ˆ

Jadeypie · 13/06/2023 18:49

@DmcinT oh your messing how crazy is that and here I am saying nooo I crnt be (my minds starting to wonder) also that happened to me with hw heart rate thing and shit back up so don't stress all will be fine! Maybe it was having a little rest with all the hard work ha. Also I was pregnant withy best friend she asked me to be at the birth two weeks later I rang to say I couldnt and she thought it was coz of COVID but nope coz I was three weeks behind it was a nice experience to share x

@Westy22 oh it's all just a mind boggle isn't it! But the Dr would say by having a negative test and then a positive one retest in a week x

Freddie15VES · 13/06/2023 19:53

Glad everyone’s doing good - ish! Bloody rollercoaster isn’t it this. And men wonder why we’re ā€˜mental’ sometimes 🤪

@Hankthehonk i think you were on my previous MC thread!! So good to see you here 🄰 (might have been on my old account though I forgot the password!!) how you doing?

so who’s close to testing?

I took another cheapie tonight and it’s so dark which I should have some comfort in but I’m still stressing haha as soon as I hit that 6 week 4 days mark I’ll feel a lil bit better!!

@Freddie15VES Hi there! What was your old username? Congratulations on your bfp.
I have taken three tests now, all positive, still can't believe it.
I had a scan at 7w5d last time where everything was fine and we saw a heartbeat, then the mc was 5 days later. So I don't know when I'll feel reassured really, maybe 12 weeks? I hope so anyway! I just know that seeing a heartbeat early on again wouldn't reassure me after last time :(

Weirdly though I'm feeling excited and optimistic today more than I'm feeling anxious. I'm sure it will be very up and down! Determined to focus on getting enough sleep, eating right, continuing to exercise as much as possible...just look after myself and this tiny wee thing.

DmcinT · 13/06/2023 20:32

@Jadeypie so funny when I saw ur story today then I thought gees it’s very likelyšŸ˜‚

@Westy22 did u manage to test again? Or would u ask ur dr for 48hr blood draws to make sure? It’s the only thing put my mind at ease, I knew the hcg was coming down so I wasn’t preg again even though it felt like forever waiting on that fist af and wondering what was going on.

@Freddie15VES and @Hankthehonk I feel the same, once I get over 11 weeks (last MC point) I think I’ll start to feel like it’s real, the only thing with that is that it feels like forever away at the moment. I’ve already entered the constant eating phasešŸ™ˆ anyone else?

Freddie15VES · 13/06/2023 20:35

@Hankthehonk god I can’t even remember haha think it was tryingtobe with some numbers!! Aw yay! How exciting. I’m trying to be excited but the anxiety is real isn’t it 😩

@DmcinT yeah and also the whatever I eat I feel like I’m going to burst after I’ve eaten it I get so bloated!!

this is my progression now - so at least I can (hopefully) stop worrying about a chemical

@Freddie15VES great progression! šŸ˜

@Hankthehonk so lovely that you're feeling excited about it at the moment. I can imagine it being very up and down during the first trimester but I really hope when I get my BFP I'll be able to celebrate it and enjoy it in the moment. Like you guys though, I think I won't be able to relax until past those loss milestones... a healthy 12wk scan would reassure a lot but I imagine that will feel like a lifetime away when at the start of it all. Partly relieved to be on AF and not have to deal with that yet... Although it's just delaying the inevitable 🤪

Jadeypie · 13/06/2023 21:42

@Freddie15VES oh look at that progression lovely pink line 🄰 it's mad how we get obsessed with pink lines isn't it!

@SnookyPook I think we are all the same in being terrified of the first trimester it's like when you've experienced a loss it robs that enjoyment if that makes sense? My anxiety is for the right location I think when I do get my BFP and be told it's in the right place that will calm me down (I hope anyway)

Hankthehonk · 14/06/2023 05:51

After being happy all day yesterday about my bfp, this morning the anxiety and dread has kicked in. Largely because my bbt has dropped. Maybe you're not meant to keep temping once you get a positive test but shouldn't it be staying up or rising?
Did another test just now (on a boots test, saving frer for 48 hour progression check tomorrow) and it's the same as yesterday. Faint but not a squinter.

@Freddie15VES I do remember you with the tryingtobe username! That's great line progression I hope you're feeling more secure and letting yourself be happy about your bfp.

Westy22 · 14/06/2023 06:44

Morning,

So I've had more blood this morning so AF has arrived, mixed feelings about that lol atleast it's here and my cycle may be restarting?

I did test last night as I literally got one bit of spotting yesterday and then nothing, very very faint on a normal Wilko test but I'm leaving them alone now 🤣 xx

Jadeypie · 14/06/2023 07:05

@Hankthehonk oh the constant testing and checking makes us go all over the place doesn't it maybe try and step away from it all for a while to try and help with the anxiey (easier said than done ) xx

@Westy22 oh I'm so sorry to hear this! Hope your okay xx

Westy22 · 14/06/2023 07:14

@Jadeypie ah thank you, I'm better than I thought I would be tbh x I guess it puts my mind at ease either way for now! Back on the Maca tablets I go 🤣 xx

DmcinT · 14/06/2023 08:39

@Hankthehonk I had the same with my resting heart rate, similar to bbt it increases and stays up but I’d a dip the day before yesterday, I was so worried that whole day but then it jumped back up again yesterday. I know I should prob stop checking it but I’d have to stop wearing my watch & id find that so strange šŸ™ˆšŸ˜… I’d say our bodies are just trying to get used to their new job & might be a bit all over the place for the first few weeks (that’s what I’m trying to tell myself)

@Westy22 im sorry af has showed but I know what u mean, as disappointed as I was its actually such relief too to know things are back on track and I told myself it was my bodies way of telling me it just wasn’t ready to go again just yet (I feel that helped in those daysā¤ļø) all the baby dust now for this next cycle xx

Freddie15VES · 14/06/2023 08:53

@Westy22 keep positive!! At least you know exactly where you’re at with things now, no wondering or guessing! Good luck!!

Good morning everyone.
Just read through the whole thread and I'm so so sorry for the pain you all going through. I also want to give congrats to those who have recently got a bfp, I have my fo gers crossed for you.

I hope you're OK with me joining in here. I didn't have a mmc in March, but in May, and had surgery on the 5th May.
Prior to that I had secondary infertility for three years after a chemical pregnancy in 2020.
I've had a rough time emotionally getting back on track, but recently feeling a lot stronger with the occasional wobble.
I had my first AF and ovulated on time which I'm grateful for. šŸ™ However, we only dtd once so far due to a mixture of reasons. It was on O day so perhaps we'll be lucky but I think we messed up this month.

Retrogamer · 14/06/2023 09:36

I also saw a post earlier up about rhr,
I don't know if it's useful at all but I track my rhr and when I did fall pregnant it shoot up just before a positive test. My rhr was around 74 beforehand and went to 88.

Strawb28 · 14/06/2023 10:15

@Retrogamer im so sorry for both of your losses. I am finding it very hard to not be disheartened every month that goes by from my chemical because I fell pregnant on my second cycle TTC I couldn't believe my luck but have had no luck since! How many dpo are you?

Retrogamer · 14/06/2023 11:34

@Retrogamer im so sorry for both of your losses. I am finding it very hard to not be disheartened every month that goes by from my chemical because I fell pregnant on my second cycle TTC I couldn't believe my luck but have had no luck since! How many dpo are you?

I'm so sorry @Strawb28 I can understand how frustrating and disappointing it is šŸ˜ž Sending wishes your way.
I'm currently 2dpo, so I have a long wait lol. I have a 16 day luteal phase.

Strawb28 · 14/06/2023 11:39

@Retrogamer im also 2dpo but I think my luteal phases be quite short! My cycles are around 27 days at the moment and I didn't get peak until cycle day 17 so probs ovulated CD18 which doesn't give very long before predicted period. I'm hoping it doesn't decrease my chances too much! X

Hankthehonk · 14/06/2023 12:00

@Jadeypie @DmcinT thanks both, I got myself in a bit of a worried state in the early hours of the morning and reading back to my post I sound a bit test crazy! Now I'm up and about having a normal day the anxiety has subsided a bit. I might stop tracking bbt and just focus on line progression (not even going to pretend I could stop doing pregnancy tests).

@Retrogamer welcome and sorry for your losses, it's so tough. Keeping everything crossed for you for your bfp soon

DmcinT · 14/06/2023 14:26

@Retrogamer welcome along, it’s not a club any of us want to be in but there is alot of support here. Sorry for ur lossā¤ļø Best of luck for the TWW, do u have a dpo that u usually test at? It’s nice to have @Strawb28 on the same dpo too x

@Hankthehonk dont be apologising at all, we are all the samešŸ˜… when I saw that dip in rhr on Monday I thought omg it’s not stuck and I convinced myself I’d get my period.

its 30 degrees here today, I’m really not able, when for a walk with MIL this morning and it’s taken all energy out of me, I can see me napping very soon šŸ˜… anyone else so tired with the heat

Retrogamer · 14/06/2023 15:37

@DmcinT thank you. It feels good to talk about it to others going through the same thing.
To answer your question, I usually aim to test at 10dpo, however that never happens šŸ˜… I cave at about 8dpo. What about yourself?

DmcinT · 14/06/2023 16:16

Same as u I try to think I’ll wait until 10 but I caved at 9 dpo this cycle and got a very faint line, now it was a ā€˜is it there, is it not’ kinda line but Saturday morning it was deff there🄰 have u anything planned now to distract u over the next week?

Retrogamer · 14/06/2023 16:33

@DmcinT that's great news, congrats! 😊 what a way to start the weekend.
I have been doing some decorating and decluttering, it's how I've been able to cope with recent events. I'm back at work next week so I'll try to throw myself into that too. The weather really helps, I'm not a winter person.
