Hi ladies,

First month catching positive LH to confirm my ovulation. We DTD two days before but unfortunately not on ovulation day. I'm hoping I'm still in with a chance. Currently 1DPO. Love anyone to join me for the painful waiting game of testing and also symptom spot/share stories of successful pregnancies.

Hey guys little update..

I tested this morning with FMU and got the same thin line, blue but fainter.. the one I did last night came up just within the 10 minutes, the one this morning was shortly after, but not over 45 mins to an hour.

Used some boots cheap ones this evening and negative, thought i could see a hint of a line but not enough to go off of.

Feel like I've got a dodgy batch of clear blue tests. Has anyone had the thin blue lines on clear blue and turned out to be pregnant?

xLJ1990x · 05/05/2023 19:17

@Flowers213 I had weird smudges with no line once on clear blue ones and then a new pack was just negative. That said, the only positive I've had myself was a digital one

Flowers213 · 05/05/2023 19:21

Top test was done last night, came up within 10 minutes.
Bottom this morning probably within 30 odd mins it got clearer

I think maybe try in the morning with another Boots cheapie if you had a pack of two? I always avoid Clear Blue until I'm a few weeks late because I've heard they aren't as sensitive!

happyclam · 05/05/2023 19:42

What cheapies does everyone use? The clear blue and first response ones are so expensive but I don't want to buy something unreliable! Ideally an early test one?

It's so frustrating when the tests aren't clear isn't it! Do you have any pick dye tests like First response? I use wondfo cheapie from amazon but I haven't had a BFP yet so I can't say how reliable they are. Fingers crossed for you! 🤞

I've had a line like this about an hour past the time line and it turned out to be an evap. But 10 minutes is more promising!

Apparently, these days the Boots early ones are cheaper and more reliable than the First Response ones!

@BABYPRAYING At least with the cheap ones it isn't so expensive!

@LeopardLover I'm hoping it will be the same for me. Two of my friends who I had told both knew someone separately who it was the very next month. I so hope that is the case for me! My hopes are up because this time last month my fingers swelled so my wedding ring was tighter than usual and it happened again today. Was it still lockdown when you had your son?

I don't think my response to this sent! Crossing my fingers for you that it's your month! Weirdly my finger swelling never went down. I can't wear my wedding rings, despite being smaller than I was after my wedding! It's not a weight thing, the water retention never disappeared after my son. He's an April baby, so post lockdown but many strict rules still in place which sucked but at least I didn't give birth alone.

My period has arrived two days early. 😅 The cheek!

xLJ1990x · 05/05/2023 23:42

@LeopardLover thank you! I'll keep you posted 😊

Bodies are really strange in some ways. My engagement ring is bigger than my wedding ring but didn't get it downsized in case my fingers swelled. Didn't expect it happen right at the start though! For me it went away by the time I ovulated before returning. I don't remember if I mentioned it but I also had an extra chin or two last month 😂 my mum said her friend asked her if I was pregnant because she could see it in my face. The period came exactly 14 DPO which is late for me. Now I keep looking in the mirror to see if my face is any different for another sign 😂

I'm glad you didn't have to go through birth alone! Do you think you'll have a similar birth plan next time? I'm looking forward to reading about different options, but holding off til I am actually pregnant!

Sorry to hear it wasn't your month! How are you feeling?

Pinkmoon23 · 06/05/2023 05:31

So this morning I had a dip in bbt. I'm 6dpo - really hoping this is a good sign and could be an implantation dip?! Hopefully it'll be up again tomorrow! 🤞

1DPO - Anyone want to wait with me ☺
PeacefulD · 06/05/2023 07:38

@Pinkmoon23 if you go to bbt tab in that same screen you'll see the times you log your temp every day. Do you log it at the same time? I see your message was from much earlier, my temp is always lower earlier and so I've been using adjuster (just googled it) to enter temps on the off days.

Pinkmoon23 · 06/05/2023 08:19

Heyy thanks - yeah I was wondering if there was too much variation in time but I also read if it's within two hours of your normal waking time and after your main sleep then it's ok? I usually measure around half 6/7 so I'm hoping half 5 is OK. I guess time will tell 😅

1DPO - Anyone want to wait with me ☺
Pinkmoon23 · 06/05/2023 08:24

OK so I tried the adjuster and it's given me 36.59 as my adjusted temp which I think wouldn't be a dip after all!

@Pinkmoon23 yes, have a couple of the pink FRER ones but they work out like £5 from Amazon! Used one today on 8dpo and obviously not a line in sight- not sure why I wasted it!!

I did the same yesterday, used my frer... at 5dpo... face palm 😂😂

BABYPRAYING · 06/05/2023 09:25

Morning Ladies,

8DPO - I peed on a stick again, BFN. Don't seem to be having any symptoms either. Hope everyone is getting on ok 😊

happyclam · 06/05/2023 09:27

@Pinkmoon23 glad I'm not alone! I've promised myself I'm not going to test til Monday because that's actually 6 days before AF!

LeopardLover · 06/05/2023 14:30

@BABYPRAYING Plenty more days to get that BFP!

@Pinkmoon23 Seems like it wasn't much of a dip, fingers crossed it stays raised! This data makes me miss charting but I found it stressful.

@xLJ1990x Oh wow haha, that's so cool! My mother in law only has to look at me to know I'm pregnant, she's so observant and same as you, I think my face changed instantly 😅

It's definitely a good idea to have an A, B, C and D plan! I had a mentally positive (love hypnobirthing) but physically traumatic birth that wasn't what I had envisioned (epidural, spinal block, forceps and a 3b tear). Without explicitly saying it, multiple health professionals have suggested a c-section would be a better option next time. But I'm not completely decided!

I actually feel fine other than a really painful period, thanks for asking 😊 if I could pick I'd have a spring baby, so I think the disappointment would start to kick in about August if we still haven't conceived by then!

I'll be checking in on you ladies even though I'm out this cycle!

PeacefulD · 06/05/2023 19:42

I'm not feeling any symptoms... DPO 5 🙈

xLJ1990x · 06/05/2023 19:45

@LeopardLover glad to know it isn't just me with the face thing!

Sounds like your birth was quite an experience! At least once it's your month you then have 8 months to think about it.

I'm glad you're feeling OK. I get that - I told myself to try not to get too worried until it had been a year of ttc. My hopes are up though after reading fertility may be shortly increased after a chemical.

A spring baby does sound nice! I don't mind when I have one, but I know that older children in the school year are supposed to have an easier time just because they're bigger and more ready for learning etc. So for that I'd prefer not to have a summer baby. On the other hand not having to worry about ice at all when heavily pregnant would be nice

Kiwiburgh · 06/05/2023 20:38

BFN 8 dpo, also just wasted a frer 🙈
I tell myself to wait every month until at least 10dpo but fail every time.

Bluelightbaby · 06/05/2023 20:45

7 dpo. After 18months of negatives/or AF. I now only test if AF is late, soul destroying otherwise :(

BABYPRAYING · 07/05/2023 09:13

Hi Ladies,

9DPO, just done a test and BFN. Iv got a feeling this is another month I'm out 😞

xLJ1990x · 07/05/2023 09:25

@BABYPRAYING still a few days to go! I understand the feelings though.

I really really want to test tomorrow but going to try to hold out til Wednesday. 7dpo today
