Hey,

just thought I’d start a thread for those in their TWW.
I’m 1DPO - looking for people to chat to and just keep each other company as title states.

last month I was super patient during my TWW and fully waited until 12DPO and tested once.
I just have a feeling this month I’m going to be super impatient and need people to tell me off and not test early lol.

if you’re joining, what DPO are you and any symptoms?

baby dust to us all 👶🏻🤞🏻✨

Only 5DPO and the symptom spottign has started already - God help me!
@Suz1211 I was also knackered yesterday, had to have a nap when my dd did!

Not sure when I'm going to test but only have cheapies at home, probably start on Tuesday, 10dpo.

Bailem · 27/04/2023 13:59

7DPO and this TWW is really particularly dragging. I've not been as busy with work so found myself watching the calendar. I have no symptoms at all. Expecting to start AF spotting by early next week.

I keep thinking about being pregnant at certain events over the summer but I really need to stop this slippery tww slope 🙈 x

Nmmck93 · 27/04/2023 14:40

@Bailem I'm also 7dpo and I hear ya. The wanting to test is consuming every thought.

Also same as you thinking of events over summer and coming up to Christmas etc. I booked tickets to a concert the night before my 30th birthday in December and I'm like 'I could be heavily pregnant and I'm standing at the concert' but I wouldn't think twice of giving the tickets to family and going to a loss of them if I where to be pregnant because this is something I want. It's crazy how we just let it consume us isn't it.

Have you any symptoms?

OP posts:
Bailem · 27/04/2023 15:10

@Nmmck93 it's crazy what we put ourselves through 🙈

Pretty much nothing, maybe just a tightness since yesterday and my bbt is remaining raised (for me, I temp quite low normally) but I know that drops before AF so trying to just stay chill!

Good to have company!

Suz1211 · 27/04/2023 16:02

I'm currently in the stage of thinking I'm probably not this month. Which is fine - it's only the first attempt and I've been reminding myself it isn't always a straightforward easy process.

I've been making plans for the upcoming summer months, the only one that doesn't include alcohol is going to a theme park so still not a pregnancy-friendly activity. The theme park is next month so it would be hard to work around that too but I didn't want to not go because if I'm not pregnant I'll be sat home having extreme fomo.

Also the day after AF is due I'm off for a meal with friends and I've already voiced my thoughts on the alcoholic milkshakes menu so that would be a challenge to make excuses for if I'm no longer drinking alcohol for a while. But at least if I have my monthly appear I have something fun to soften the blow haha

Bailem · 27/04/2023 16:36

@Suz1211 Aw I totally understand how you feel. It would be difficult about the theme park because you really can't avoid either not telling friends or just being miserable.

Last month I was really down about AF's arrival but then I had one of those fab "a couple of drinks" turns into 3am nights out and it was totally what I needed. Silver linings and all that.

Nmmck93 · 27/04/2023 17:07

@Bailem I'm annoyed at myself for not temping. If this month isn't mine im going to set an alarm at the same time every morning (even on days off) to temp.

I know, I honestly think I'll cave this weekend and test lol.

OP posts:
Nmmck93 · 27/04/2023 17:09

@Suz1211 aw I know, gunna be 9dpo on Saturday and it's my mums birthday night out and I honestly don't want to drink as I've read it can stop implantation but I have been quite unwell and in hospital with something else so I think im going to use that as an excuse.

Can always just use being unwell as an excuse but for a theme park I don't know how you could get out of rides if you are pregnant & it'll still be super early and you may not want to tell anyone at that stage.

Suz1211 · 27/04/2023 17:16

@Nmmck93 I have ups and downs with anxiety and I'm known for not drinking alcohol when I'm having a down patch so whilst I'm not for faking mental health problems I think anxiety will be an easy excuse for me that no one will question lol.

The theme park I made even more difficult saying I'd drive so I can't even fake a stomach bug and not let others down. I just get too carried away in the moment of making plans and don't think ahead at all

Arthursmom · 27/04/2023 17:23

its so hard because both times I’ve had symptoms so early even though everything you read says you can’t possibly 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’d say my boobs being sore and being very tired / having vivid dreams have been the main ones this time. Last time sore boobs were the main give away as well as increased CM 🤔 Always started around 7 DPO and got positives on 9 dpo. Must have early implanters. I didn’t feel this last time but this time I’ve definitely felt like af was coming for a few days then didn’t appear (I don’t usually feel af coming I just wake up with it) so I guess for me that’s a symptom in itself. Af due tomorrow so we’ll see 🤔 tests still positive but I guess I thought they’d be darker by now.

TWW Buddies - Let’s keep each other company.
Nmmck93 · 27/04/2023 18:44

@Arthursmom to me they look like good positives for AF not being missed yet. Fingers crossed they get darker and you can stop testing and enjoy! 💜 keep us updated.

@Suz1211 oh I hear ya with the anxiety, but you also wouldn’t be lieing because you will be anxious if pregnant because you’re keeping a little human safe in your belly! 💜 hopefully you can work something out if you get your BFP.

I caved and tested. I got a BFN on a FRER. I’m 11dpo, so disappointed. I even had a luteal temp dip so I allowed myself to hope this was my month. Such bad cramps so I reckon I’ll wake up to AF tomorrow 🥺

Babyhopeful23 · 28/04/2023 00:16

I’m getting all my PMS symptoms… but paranoia, emotional etc. I’m not even going to bother putting myself through the torture of looking at a negative test.

Nmmck93 · 28/04/2023 08:27

8dpo & I caved using cheapies & stark negative. I know it’s still too early so won’t lose hope yet. Gunna try hold out now to Monday 11dpo and try a FRER. But I just have a gut feeling this month isn’t my month.

OP posts:
Suz1211 · 28/04/2023 14:52

@Nmmck93 fingers crossed it was just too early!! Going off work and life the best days to test over the week is Monday (9DPO) or Friday (13DPO). Monday seems too early to bother and then AF is due Saturday so is there any point on Friday? But then my tests were super cheap (thank you Boots sale) so do I just go for it anyway but risk being disappointed.

Nmmck93 · 28/04/2023 15:37

@Suz1211 hoping it was just too early! The only early detection ones I have are my FRER and then 6 days early clear blue digital but I don’t want to waste them, I’ve cheapie early detection coming from ebay would be ideal if they arrived tomorrow lol.
keep updated on your testing aswell! Sending baby dust 👶🏻

Suz1211 · 28/04/2023 15:50

@Nmmck93 that is so tempting but I'm going to try resist buying any haha. I just bought the standard simple 5 pack tests from boots before my last AF as whilst we weren't trying we weren't being extremely careful and I was about to go away for the weekend - AF arrived an hour after purchasing so they weren't used but they only cost £2.50 for the five (and I had the added bonus of the old chap behind the till thinking I was as young as I look on a 'no make-up I'm running errands day' and him trying hard to not look at me funny)

Nmmck93 · 28/04/2023 15:59

@Suz1211 aww im gunna try hold out, AF is due the 5th for me so we’ll see how I go lol.
awww I hear ya, I look exceptionally young aswell so I get the funny eyes when going to a till lol.

@Nmmck93 I'm trying to hold out testing until May 4th but I'm flipping back and forth between wait and not. Yesterday I was at the stage of thinking it isn't my month and that's fine. Today I'm wondering are these small light pains in my lower abdomen something more. Also just felt tingly so now I'm creeping into crossing my fingers.

The TWW is a rollercoaster.

Nmmck93 · 29/04/2023 00:00

@Suz1211 aww I'm out all day tomorrow now & won't be home until late; so if I can try stop myself testing until AF shows up just so I don't torture myself squinting at tests!
I'm with you, I believe It's not my month but the twinges im getting, the nausea and acid reflux has me having a little bit of hope (also could be the sickness I had over the weekend still lingering) but im crossing my fingers that they are pregnancy symptoms! 🤞🏻

I’ve had no symptoms really at all so far, I’m 6DPO. I have had creamy CM, which I don’t think I usually get, but I’m probably reading way too much into it because I’m TTC. Maybe I always have it after ovulation and just don’t notice because I’m not looking for it.

With my daughter and with about half of my MC I have felt implantation, so I’m on the lookout for that, but I’m usually a late ish implanter.

Congrats to anyone whose had BFPs this cycle! My AF is due on the 7th, but we’re away then so I’ll test at 12DPO on the 5th. With my last MC and my daughter I was positive by then and I want to know before I go away either way.

DHB · 29/04/2023 19:24

Well I tested yesterday after waiting a whole (drum roll please…) 6DPO 😂😂😂 I mean, what was I even thinking.

and to my absolute surprise it was the biggest most obvious fat negative there ever was 🫣🙃 Serves me right really. That was my last test and silly me has already gone and bought another pack of 5 cheapies from Boots. Bank hol is doing me dirty and not able to collect them until Tuesday…

Dont be like me 😌

Arthursmom · 29/04/2023 20:22

@DHB 😂😂😂

Suz1211 · 29/04/2023 22:27

@DHB I'm sorry about your negative but your whole thing you've just posted made me chuckle. I hope you survive until Tuesday!
