Haha 😂 @LeopardLover I can remember getting moody on a few occasions the first time we were ttc if I couldn’t interest OH in DTD on fixed smiley days 😂- however cycle we got pregnant first time we didn’t actually manage to do in on the peak fertility day! Are you keeping the OPK testing a secret from your OH?
I am feeling ok at this point thanks, tired but otherwise ok 👍🏻

Un7breakable · 22/05/2023 06:20

@emmatcc1 I always have a 3dpo dip, apparently it's likely an estrogen surge. I also have a dip 6-7 dpo every month.

Eirlys1986 · 22/05/2023 07:20

@Muriel84 I hope your scan goes well today, sending you lots of love whatever the outcome xx

Floralsandsmiles · 22/05/2023 08:17

Hi ladies, hope you are all well?
I'm struggling abit at the moment and trying to work out a plan through it all.
I posted either in this group or another before on this option but now I'm considering it more and more.
Have you all heard of gaia?
gaiafamily.com/
So you find a local fertility clinic and get a quote based up, they work it on your age and bmi and any issues identified etc. Then they give you an insurance premium to pay each round. You pay this and then all other IVF fees and medication is paid by them direct to the clinic. You are insured for 6 rounds or less (individual dependant) and only pay back the fees accrued when you have your baby (this can be in installments and over up to 8 years). If you have all rounds fail that you are insured up to, you pay none of the ivf fees back and you will have only paid the insurance premium each cycle...
I'm 36 in a few months, DH has had sperm analyse and all is A'ok. However I spot up to 6 days sometimes prior to AF for no reason. My scans have come back OK with functioning ovaries, no cysts and fine endo lining. Bloodwork has been fine aside from low iron and high testosterone. I am taking a supplement for the iron and lost 22lbs in 6 weeks to kick start a healthy bmi and this should lower testosterone. However if it doesn't, there is nothing they can give me to level hormone imbalance, other than contraception!!! Because that would be a fertility referral and we don't qualify as both DH and I have a DC from previous relationships.
All of its exhausting and I'm thinking gaia maybe the best option as then they can help me with medication too. Plus we are trying naturally but ultimately if it's an imbalance with no medicine, chances are it will be near impossible to conceive the doctor said. She actually said that as I fell pregnant 12 years ago on contraception, the contraception probably helped level my imbalance of hormones and assist with conception!!
What are all your thoughts on this? Xxx

Elen123 · 22/05/2023 10:27

Sorry just catching up with messages AF arrived and as i have endo I've been wiped out with it all weekend. Stating to feel better now.

@Muriel84 im so sorry to hear your updates. thinking of you today and really hope things go well for you. Sending positive vibes your way.

Thanks so much everyone for all the hot tub chat, made me feel better in my worries. Am going to let my oh know and gently suggest very short sessions or maybe bubbles with no/low heat.

@Floralsandsmiles that sounds incredibly frustrating and complicated. I've not heard of them but hope you get some other answers.

Success!! We managed to DTD despite getting up at 3am 😅 I kept it secret from him 🤐 we definitely didn't optimise before ovulation unfortunately, but hoping some swimmers stuck around! Glad you're feeling okay 😁

Mummyme87 · 22/05/2023 10:49

@Muriel84 good luck for your scan today 🤞🏻

@Floralsandsmiles I’ve heard of Gaia and I’m sure I read some where here about it and wasn’t a positive feedback. I’m sorry it’s all so difficult. Have you been in contact with any fertility clinics?

Hi @Mummyme87 👋
O no! What negative feedback did you hear?
I have been in touch to local fertility clinics but all require upfront payment on everything.. xxx

Muriel84 · 22/05/2023 12:42

@Elen123 @Eirlys1986 @Mummyme87 thanks ladies. Scan was quite stressful just cos it took a while and she wasn’t saying anything 🙈she could see the start of an early pregnancy in the right horn of my funny shaped uterus. Measuring 4 and a half weeks. They’ve started me on progesterone pessaries twice a day for the bleeding and cos of having had an early loss. The bleeding has been a tiny amount in the
morning. Todays was light brown rather than bright red. She said some people struggle with the pessaries so we’ll see. They’re scanning me again in two weeks for reassurance.

@LeopardLover well done on dtd! How was the algarve? I was looking at last min holidays this morning to take my mind off things wide awake in the early hours xx

Mummyme87 · 22/05/2023 12:45

Does the 4 1/2wks marry up for you? @Muriel84 good news they could see a pregnancy ♥️ and great you have progesterone, and also that the loss is now brown

Muriel84 · 22/05/2023 12:47

@Mummyme87 thank you ❤️ such a rollercoaster. Yeah I’m 4 weeks 5days by my calculations based on positive opk. She said the progesterone will likely make me spot cos it irritates and I might find it easier PR 🙈

Mummyme87 · 22/05/2023 12:49

@Muriel84 sounds all fab! Yes progesterone is better PR really in pregnancy. Not the nicest, can leak a bit when it melts so would recommend wearing a party liner

SnookyPook · 22/05/2023 13:37

@Muriel84 ah relieved to hear this update! Fingers crossed all keeps going well and that the scan in a couple of weeks shows good progress 💕

Pineappleapple · 22/05/2023 13:54

@Muriel84 that sounds like good news!

VixFromThe6ix · 22/05/2023 13:55

So glad your scan went well!! It must have been a relief to know it's all progressing well despite the spotting. Hope progesterone helps with the spotting. Positive vibes @Muriel84

Thanks @LeopardLover! 😊 I’m like 99.9% sure I’m out though sadly! 😔 Hope you had a lovely time away!

Brilliant news @Muriel84! Glad all is well! 😊

Elen123 · 22/05/2023 14:09

@Muriel84 such good news!! Really well done for getting though the weekend and this morning. Hope you have a restful afternoon and evening planned! Such a rollercoaster you've been on. So pleased for you and hope it's only ups from here for you. Xx

JumbleJo · 22/05/2023 14:09

@Muriel84 Googles PR 🙈ha! So pleased things weren’t as bad as you feared. Really hope the progesterone improves things for you xx

Eirlys1986 · 22/05/2023 14:40

@Muriel84 fantastic news about the scan and hopefully the pessaries will help with everything too.
@LeopardLover well done for dtd on such a tight schedule! Fingers crossed and unicorn tears thrown your way for extra good luck! 🦄

Muriel84 · 22/05/2023 19:39

Thank you everyone ❤️❤️❤️

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/05/2023 20:17

@Muriel84 I was popping in to see how things went at your scan, and so pleased that it's looking positive!

@Floralsandsmiles well done on the losing 22lbs, that's amazing! Did they mention if you could take metformin for the testosterone? Just mentioning as a couple of friends with higher testosterone fell pregnant a few months after starting metformin.

SarahShorty · 22/05/2023 20:33

Hey ladies xx I hope it's okay to join. I've been in the game for 15 months and am going for my next FET in June. Our issues are sub-fertility due to low sperm. Seeing/hearing announcements and baby bumps has worn me down a bit, but am plodding on. I do have my moments where I have to lock myself away and have a really hard cry. I do also drive myself a bit insane sometimes saying over and over again "I WILL have children and I WILL be a mother." Why is it so hard for us?! 😩

Thank you for your reply @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 ! They haven't mentioned any medicine that can help (just that there is some) but that I won't qualify for anything as it means referring me to fertility.. and I dint qualify for help from fertility as I have a child already. 😒 xxx

TheFanciestPants · 22/05/2023 20:53

@Muriel84 that's great news. So happy for you. 🦄
@SarahShorty welcome! Yeah I understand the feeling worn down🫂 . It's so tough for some and so easy for others (who don't seem to appreciate it!). Will this be your second FET?
@Floralsandsmiles that's amazing! So much weight lost in such a short time. I don't know anything about that company but it sounds too good to be true, so I am a bit suspicious! Do you think you might be better off seeing a gynae privately for a second opinion to see if they have any ideas?

Thanks @TheFanciestPants for your response. We'll gaia get alot of money for fronting your ivf package funds.. that's where they get their money, its unlikely on their statics that by round 6 you don't get pregnant, or they wouldn't offer to cover you.. or so I'm getting from it.
I thought about getting a gynaecology opinion and paying for meds, however there is no guarantees that will solve this problem or work. I don't have time on my side. I feel like by going ivf, they will provide the tests and medication and it means if that doesn't work, we have tried all we can? Plus speeds things up a little from the waiting game? Xxx
