@FfoxRedN Oh I hated Athens 😂 My friend had her phone stolen and the whole place just felt... off... most of the time. The historical sites were beautiful though, agreed.

So I finally had time to sit and have a google last night. Didn't realise you're not meant to have thyroid antibodies 🙄 looking forward to getting the results now so I can decipher what he was saying on the phone

Ffs. I just put on a skirt I altered last September as it was too small and now it's too big 🤬🤦🏻‍♀️. It's taken 2.5 years but my waist is now apparently back to pre-baby size... just in time to hopefully get pregnant again 😑😅

@bringmearainbow I've never heard of those before. What do they do? :/

@TheBirdintheCave 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ oh no about the skirt but nice news about the waist 😬 tbh I'm not sure I 100% understand it but I think it's hashimotos 🤔 or it can turn into that in the future because my tsh he said is now at a normal level. They develop when the immune system mistakenly attack the thyroid cells and tissues but from what I've read if they are there even if your thyroid function is normal if you have these antibodies you're 1.85-4 times more likely to miscarry. Def one to bring up with the gynae

@bringmearainbow You are right, it's what I have exactly, having high or positive anti-bodies means you have underactive thyroid which is autoimmune (what they call Hashimotos). They reckon eating Gluten free can reduce them which I do anyway as am intolerant, but with your other levels under control with thyroxine you have as a good a chance as anyone else. They key is controlling it before conception.
@TheBirdintheCave that's such a shame! We did go to a bit of Athens that we didn't like at all so steered clear but Plaka and the old gardens were beautiful, we stayed 30 mins away near this thermal lake which was stunning and so much more relaxed. We just went to Athens for the day which I would highly recommend. Cheaper too! xx

@bringmearainbow I'm sorry to hear about your blood results. I don't have any knowledge on this myself but it's a good thing it's been spotted now so it can be treated if need be! How are you doing anyway?

@bunnykins123 @FfoxRedN I'm for holiday on Thursday. I don't know what to do 😭 I've to work tomorrow and Tuesday and I literally can't get a locum. DH doesn't know (yet anyway at least). I'm just laying freaking out in DS bed (he's in a student flat, I haven't turned weird don't worry 😂)

I've been testing since Friday but they are getting darker. I just have been down this road so much but they always get lighter x and I didn't want to be insensitive when there has been a loss this week @bringmearainbow 💔

@MrsJGrealish oooh, everything crossed for you, but completely understand the anxiety (always rubbish timing, innit!)

9dpo and nothing doing here. Negative ICs and the frer that I stupidly wasted yesterday (on the flimsy rationale that given the strength of line I got with DD2 at 10dpo, 8dpo would at least show a squinter 🙄).

@curliegirlie thank you xx there's one thing I am certain of it's that I really don't want to go on holiday 😢 I just can't face it. I'm so tired. My FRER only turned positive today.. I've been testing with cheapies xx

@curliegirlie I did the same as you. 8dpo faint line IC bound to show on an FRER all I got was a white line. 9dpo slightly pinker line on IC, today v positive IC and positive FRER. DH brought me in a coffee to work yesterday and I swear to god I looked at it like it was liquid covid. Found myself avoiding the counter it was sitting on 🤢

@bunnykins123 yeah the dating scan is Tuesday 😖. Anxious doesn't quite describe how I'm feeling enough.

@MrsJGrealish where are you going on holiday? Can you make some phone calls whilst travelling? I remember driving to and from Wales on the phone to my GP trying to sort stuff in code with the kids in the car 🫣. Will the holiday not be a nice rest once you're there? Xxx

I'm so sick of it all. This will be the 16th cycle of nothing and it's all the more galling when I know we were pretty well timed again this month. I do question how the hell I ever had a surprise pregnancy last year 🤯🤷‍♀️

@FfoxRedN Portugal and no DH will be annoying. We went to Corfu last year when I had just found out and he was a nightmare. Suppose I'll tell him now..it's not real to him this early. It's very real for me.

Just told him. Better than expected 😊 he's like yea that test is positive..why didn't you tell me?! 🙈

@FfoxRedN the gynae was just a one off am I healthy, is the uterus clear (GP questioned fibroid), I got basic bloods and a smear done (well overdue). I have cervical ectropian but she says after kids that's normal and explained the bleeding after DTD. I had planned to see another private fertility consultant after Portugal and explain my problem in the hope of getting some answers. I thought this cycle was a write off tbh

I could ring the GP from work tomorrow but I know what her answer will be.

Guys can someone please tell DH that de-moulding and cleaning the conservatory is perfectly safe because he has gone all neurotic. I’ve had a lecture and been made to wear a face mask 😅 I said it’s no good being ‘concerned’ now about me using cleaning products because who the hell else is going to do it hmmmm 🙄

@MrsJGrealish well that's great news! Did they come back with an answer as to whether you could have the progesterone? I would speak to your HP or EPU and perhaps just go down that path. If everything else is good it just seems you may have an unfussy uterus like me, just your body would recognise it sooner? This one sounds so promising though and love DHs reaction!
They all can be so annoying in these early weeks can't they. Hopefully you can enjoy parts of the holiday. If not get some noise cancelling earphones 🤣.
