Thanks everyone hopefully the cramps are what you’ve all described and nothing to worry about, i have ulcerative colitis as well so have all sorts of cramps, twinges etc and have become really quite constipated so that’s possibly not helping

@FfoxRedN omg thats so early and such a long day for you!

@MrsJGrealish i see it! I hope this is your one

bunnykins123 · 11/04/2023 08:19

@Alexis7890 I think it's totally normal. I wouldn't worry too much. I had some awful cramps around 5 weeks. I know it's really hard but try and take each day as it comes and not overthink symptoms.

@MrsJGrealish water does seem to be the solution to everything! Will you be retesting today?

TheBirdintheCave · 11/04/2023 08:25

Well we dtd this morning but my temp was also 37.88 which my thermometer declares as a fever so all of the sperm is toast.

Out for this month 😭 That's three months in a row where something has gone wrong. It's like fate doesn't want us to try naturally any more.

Insides feel bruised so O has happened I think 😭

bunnykins123 · 11/04/2023 08:35

@TheBirdintheCave I thought it was if the man gets a temp, that affects the spermies but not so much with the female? Are you feeling well within yourself (other than the bruisers feeling?) it may just be that it's a slightly dodge reading. I know it's hard but try not to worry too much, your body temperature goes up when you are pregnant so it can't have too much affect on everything going on down there 💕

TheBirdintheCave · 11/04/2023 08:40

@bunnykins123 I have a headache and a cold 😭

Even if by some miracle the sperm isn't killed off we only have the dud lot from yesterday waiting there. I was hoping I'd O later today so then this morning's lot would have their 12 hours to do their thing but no such luck.

MrsJGrealish · 11/04/2023 09:36

@bunnykins123 nooo I have quite lovely period cramps and backache this morning..never testing again!!

MrsJGrealish · 11/04/2023 10:08

@TheBirdintheCave I'm sorry you're feeling down. I hope this isn't what I had it's horrific..I'm just coming round now 🥲

LuckyMoonstone · 11/04/2023 11:24

@TheBirdintheCave I wouldn’t say you’re definitely out yet, you’re still in with a shot

TheBirdintheCave · 11/04/2023 12:02

@LuckyMoonstone Not with 2.5 day old sperm and a low grade fever.

MrsJGrealish · 11/04/2023 12:12

@Indianna2006 does this doctor strike affect your birth?

Indianna2006 · 11/04/2023 12:21

@MrsJGrealish It shouldn’t do…I have my pre-op tomorrow and I’ve not been contacted about any changes.
I believe that although it’s “planned” surgery it isn’t actually surgery that can wait or that you can rearrange a whole weeks worth as it has a massive knock on effect as obviously babies don’t wait do they.. 🫣 They come whatever don’t they. They have to be birthed lol. So all you’d get is 15 emergencies the next week as they’ve all gone into labour 🤪🫣 So they consider maternity resources the same as emergency and trauma and neonatal. As priority basically.

so believe all maternity units rota and find cover for the emergency and planned c sections for that reason as they knew in advance it was happening. It’s just more like my surgery will be done by someone more senior as the consultants will be covering for the junior Docters/registrars as usually the junior docs would do planned c sections. A higher grade and then a lower one. And consultants only get involved if it’s a complicated one. But alas that doesn’t bother me who does it tbh. As long as there qualified 🤣 higher the better

The only way it will affect it is it a consultant calls in sick on day of my surgery or previous day etc. and so there is no back up for the back up if that makes sense. Then it could get rescheduled. But it’s the same risk as any day really. It’s never 100% guaranteed due to emergencies obviously 🙂

but fingers crossed should all still go ahead 🤞🏼 worst case scenario I’d get bumped until Monday likely if something goes wrong on day or too many emergencies.

but I should find out more info tomorrow when I go in for my assessment…but yeh what a pain for anything else though!

MrsJGrealish · 11/04/2023 12:27

@Indianna2006 god hopefully all is ok then. I was watching the news and I'm waiting on an op (different reason nothing to do with ttc) and it just struck me. But yea babies don't wait around. Hope tomorrow goes well lovely Xx

TheBirdintheCave · 11/04/2023 12:32

@Indianna2006 Oh I never even thought of that 😱 I hope it still goes ahead on Friday!

Indianna2006 · 11/04/2023 12:45

@MrsJGrealish @TheBirdintheCave luckily my hospital covers a much smaller population compared to there capacity than where I lived before when I had DD. So the delivery suite etc is nowhere near as busy with births as some other hospitals.
think statically they average about 2 c sections a day an that’s in busy months including emergencies. Soo fingers crossed all should be okay. I could be the only planned one booked in..

but yeh birth and babies is unpredictable as it is tbh isn’t it 🤣😬🫣 I shall just go with the flow! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I know the poor emergencies departments are super stretched though

MrsJGrealish · 11/04/2023 12:54

@Indianna2006 absolutely it's hateful in there. And when you manage to see the a@e doctor they are so lovely.

On a different note, can implantation happen as late as 10dpo?. I've a whooper pain on my side.

bringmearainbow · 11/04/2023 12:57

@MrsJGrealish I thought it can happen anywhere between 6-12dpo though between 8-10 is the average

MrsJGrealish · 11/04/2023 13:01

@bringmearainbow thank you! I always thought 6-8 was the norm.

Indianna2006 · 11/04/2023 13:05

@MrsJGrealish deffo. 6-12 is what they say. But 8-10 dpo most likely. Most common day actually being 9dpo. Which is why testing at 9dpo lots of people would get a blank blank stick.

FfoxRedN · 11/04/2023 13:29

@MrsJGrealish what they said 😉. How's that not thinking of it til the end of the week going? 😂.

@TheBirdintheCave please don't be down lovely. Could the temperature spike also be combined with your post-ovulation rise?
You also DTD yesterday so you have much fresher sperm than 2.5days. I know time will be the teller but as you did last month, you tried as much as you could!
I've had the pain but before hadn't ovulated yet according to temps, it must be the ultimate in swelling before the egg releases for me, so you deffo have some good chances it's only just happening if yet either.
If you have a fever it means your warm uterus is a cosy uterus for implantation. There is no exact science to this stuff, so don't be hard on yourself Xxx

I got my blood work back from the EPU yesterday hcg is at 18 go back tomorrow after work for repeat

TheBirdintheCave · 11/04/2023 13:46

We gave up with the potty training too 😂 G had two amazing days then went awful and we can't get it to work before Sunday now. Everything is utterly depressing here right now. Considering cancelling all of the IVF stuff too as I just don't want to go through it and I really don't want to burn £4k when it's not going to work.

bringmearainbow · 11/04/2023 13:48

@TheBirdintheCave ahhh lovely sending big hugs ❤️ sometimes you feel like everything crappy happens at once just take little steps. write today off as a crappy day and tomorrow you might feel a smidge better xxx

MrsJGrealish · 11/04/2023 13:49

@FfoxRedN haha still holding strong! Unless I feel particularly awful before then. My AF has this annoying thing of making you feel queasy the day before it starts. This has been with me since Sunday 🙄 I was expecting pain though. Thought it was weird it hadn't happened until this morning

@bringmearainbow that seems like a good number for 11dpo. I didn't know they could do that. Well I knew they could check but did you just self refer?

bringmearainbow · 11/04/2023 13:54

@MrsJGrealish that was yesterday at 10dpo I thought that was a pretty good starting point not too high and not too low. Yes so they told me after the last MC that as soon as I get a positive test to call them and they will monitor me. I did think about waiting a couple of days but tbh I wanted them to have a record if it didn't work out early and they are open 24/7 so I rang them yesterday

TheBirdintheCave · 11/04/2023 13:57

I'm going to go for a bit guys. I'm too jealous to stay here right now I'm afraid 😭 I'll probably come back at some point when I've calmed down as you guys are addictive 😂
