TWW - Testing Around 1st March

TTCRainbow · 21/02/2023 10:06

Creating a thread for anyone close to ovulation or already in the TWW! I find this journey easier speaking to people going through the same and on the same timeline. We are trying for baby #1 after a MC end of June/July, we was going with the flow but after nothing happening we decided to start tracking ovulation last month and this month i started tracking BBT as well. This month is also our first month using Preseed after I saw so many people say it helped!

I am currently 3DPO - Ovulation was on cycle day 15 confirmed by BBT.

Hey @TTCRainbow I’m in TWW too! Currently 8dpo.
Sorry to hear of your MC 🌸
I’ve been TTC #1 for 3 years and had a CP last month but feeling hopeful this month and symptom spotting like crazy 😂 I have PCOS and did 2 cycles of letrozole in November and December last year. Took a break for the last couple of months from letrozole as it wipes me out!

How are you keeping yourself occupied in the TWW?
love having people to talk to apart from DH! xxx

@TTCRainbow Hi, 7dpo, period due on 28th Feb. TTC #2, been going for a few months. I don't really feel pregnant right now, but I'm not sure if I did by now with my last. I know my period was due on a Tuesday last time as well and I think by a week before I had sore boobs and was starting to question if maybe I was. Boobs a bit tender but I've definitely learnt from the last few cycles that they ALWAYS get tender in the run-up to AF and have learnt not to take that as a sign 😅 also getting some cramps and twinges, but again, that seems to come before my period.

My only 'signs' last time were the sore boobs and then starting to 'feel' pregnant a few days before my missed period.

I am so bad at the two week wait. Why do the symptoms for AF and early pregnancy have to be pretty much the same?!

Sorry to hear about your MC and good luck with the TTC!

@Luna0905 Hi! Hope it happens for you soon! I also have PCOS. How are you feeling at the moment?

@UnwieldyRhombus Hey! sounds like we are on similar time lines! AF is due on 28th for me too.
Sorry to hear you have PCOS too, it makes everything so irregular.
I’m having alot of symptoms at the moment which I am sure aren’t in my head so got everything crossed that this might be the month. Had pretty sharp cramps yesterday which I hope was implantation. I just had to go out at lunch time and buy some rennie 😂
How are you feeling? Xx

It sounds like you know your symptoms well and the ones you're getting at the moment feel different? Could be a good sign then! Fingers crossed for you 😊

I'm doing ok, feeling a bit worn out (is it a sign, is it a sign?! 😂) and getting through work is a chore xx

Hi ladies, natural cycles is putting my ovulation as today but still to be confirmed by bbt. Now for the long wait 😩 I do already have children from a previous partner but me and my partner want a baby together. We started trying in August and got a positive in September but unfortunately we had a mc at 8 weeks. Really hoping we get out BFP soon 🙏🏼 fingers crossed for you all.

@Luna0905 Oh man, I cant even imagine how you are feeling after 3 years of this! I pray baby #1 is this cycle for you! I've seen so many people have CP and until recently i didn't even know what they was. I can't believe how many of us go through the same thing. I feel mad when i come on here and look at threads and now created one but it honestly gets me through these dreaded waits!

To get me through this month i have said to myself i am not noting any signs or symptoms and just trying to be more relaxed about it. Like @UnwieldyRhombus said we seem to get what we think are pregnancy symptoms and they are just PMS :(

@UnwieldyRhombus Are you tracking ovulation at all or just trying around the time you should ovulate? My AF is due 4th March but i know ill be 100% be testing on 1st March @ 10DPO - I wont be able to help myself! haha Manifesting that all of us on this thread and whoever joins gets BFP next week!!!

Have any of you tried Preseed yet or other methods? xxx

This month does feel different, even from the CP last month. I just had a meltdown over pancakes so something is definitely going on 😂
Oh that’s good apart from the tiredness, hope you manage to get some rest.
I know right? Work has been dragging this week, I only work part time as well 😩 I swear the TWW makes everything drag xx

Thank you! And hope you get your BFP this cycle too! 💞 I know MN definitely gets me through!

I was trying to be chilled about everything this month but I’ve been having so many symptoms it’s hard to ignore. This is different for me though, I never get PMS this bad or this early 🤞🏼 I was going to try and wait to test when AF Is due but don’t feel like I can wait. DH was saying to hold off until 10dpo but let’s see 😂

I’ve not tried Preseed but hearing a lot about it so may try next month if this month isn’t successful.
how are you feeling @TTCRainbow

I’m similar timings to you as well. It is my first month using Clear Blue ovulation which put ovulation on CD17 as opposed to 14 which is what my app has been saying. So I think I am 4DPO. Really going to try and not test til I “miss” my period which would be that first weekend of March though I think my cycle is messed up since I had a chemical in January. I’m TTC #2.

Sending everyone loads of good vibes - especially you @Luna0905 . Three years of TTC must be unbelievably tough. Sorry to about your CP too.

Hello everyone, I'm just going into the TWW, on cycle day 14, I haven't been doing any BBT charting or ovulation testing, just been attempting to remain chilled and hope for the best. I have short cycles (25 days) so think I ovulated on day 12 or 13 but who knows. AF due on the 6th but wondering whether to test on the 5th my birthday, could make or break the day!

Hi, can I join? I'm 8DP0 today, if I even did ovulate.
Have PCOS and body starting to reset after 1 stone (so far!) weight loss. Had a positive OPk & 2 days of EWCM so gave it a go.

Who knows what will happen. Would love another, have an 8 year old and had a 16week miscarriage 6 years ago after concieveing on clomid.

Have a rotten cold, sore boobs, slight cramps, normally have severe PMS/PMDD but nothing yet! Knackered, vivid dreams. Could be something, could be nothing.

Baby dust to all Smile

UnwieldyRhombus · 22/02/2023 10:29

@TTCRainbow Yes, tracking ovulation, just with the cheap internet OPK sticks at the moment. I'm lucky that my periods are still fairly regular despite the PCOS, although I've had a few blips where my period turns up a few days early, which at least spares me from a bit of the two week wait 😅

@Kirstylvsya Welcome! Congratulations on the weight loss! Are you finding it's helped with your PCOS symptoms? I'm actually down to a healthy weight for the first time in forever but it hasn't been a magic bullet for fertility, unfortunately. I lost weight before conceiving my first as well, though I was still 16lbs overweight at the time of conception. It's maybe helped with the general symptoms a bit, but I'm really not sure if it's helped my fertility over when I was obese, as I wasn't TTC. I guess I was hoping that losing the weight would miraculously bestow great fertility upon me 😂

Sorry for the essay, all the women with PCOS I know in real life don't want children, so I don't get to talk about this sort of stuff with anyone!

Signs look positive for you, so fingers crossed!

@NWnature Hi! Great to know when you're actually ovulating, hopefully it'll help!

@DiamondApricot Ooh, tough one, I think I'd have to make myself wait just in case it's bad news 😩

@Luna0905 really hoping this is it for you!

@UnwieldyRhombus

It's only a recent weight loss so can't really say, have another 2 stone to go! But when I conceived my first I had lost also, I think it's a blood sugar issue with me (insulin resistance) so have noticed bloods are normal, and IF I have ovulated that will be a good sign that things are improving! Fingers crossed.

9DPO today and have back ache, no PMS, no spots, both of which I get severe before AF, have some cramps and when I cough I feel like my womb is going to fall out Blush have to admit I've tested BFN of course but my MMC I didn't show positive until 12DPO.

Thanks @TTCRainbow and @Luna0905 will keep you posted. I've been taking vitamin b6 for a few months now, vitamin D and folic acid since August. Been using a fertilily cup too this month so I'm hoping that helps 🙏🏼

Has anyone else done anything different this month or does anyone do anything particular each month to increase chances?

@Luna0905 I'm feeling good - (TMI) but i've had some creamy discharge this morning which i'm not overthinking symptoms as i've promised myself i wont but i know that this could possibly be a good sign. The preseed is worth a try but i want to be more thinking that this month is your month so you wont even need to try it!!

@UnwieldyRhombus I've been using the same and logging on Premom been finding it so interesting learning about it and our bodies. That's good they are coming slightly early and not not at all. Cant believe how many of you have been diagnosed with PCOS, do they give you any help or advice for it? You'll be 8DPO today so lets hope that baby is found where it needs to go and sticks 🙌

Welcome! @DiamondApricot @Kirstylvsya @NWnature

@NWnature You are good not testing to after AF is due! I have been wondering weather to stop tracking BBT now ovulation is confirmed but i cant help myself.. If i see a potential 'Implantation dip' I think ill wait 48 hours and test hehe

@DiamondApricot This is how i was but after 6 months a friend said to me about tracking, which i am glad i did as i have been ovulating completely different to what any app or ovulation calendar told me. I would try hold out and wait until after your birthday but i know that is easier said that done! I have no will power testing lmao

@Kirstylvsya Congratulations on weight loss! Sorry to hear about your MC at 16 weeks :( All your signs so far look really positive. I can't wait for all the BFP that is going to come out of this. Sending so much luck and baby dust to everyone!!

@Sb86 Me and my boyfriend have both been taking Cod Liver Oil, CoQ10 and Vitamin D3 then i have been taking the Active Folic aswell. Then first time preseed this month but i have heard of the cups! I try to just stay laying for as long as possible, people keep saying legs up in the air but i haven't yet lmao

I think i feel really different this month, last month was our due date and i think i was putting pressure on conceiving before we got to that point so maybe the pressure and stress wasn't helping!

@Kirstylvsya @UnwieldyRhombus congratulations both on your weight loss! I've struggled with obesity my whole life, still a struggle but we decided not to put life on hold while I try to lose.

First month TTC so relatively easier to be chilled about it. Once I've got a few BFNs under my belt, I'm sure I'll be tracking and charting. No symptoms or anything unusual to speak of here so I think I will test on the 5th, at least I'll be distracted for the day.

hi! How’s everyone feeling today?

@NWnature welcome and thank you! Sorry to hear about your CP too 😞 I had exactly the same ovulating on CD17 after the CP, it wasn’t as delayed as I thought it might be.
You're very strong if you can hold out until missed AF - you can do it!

@DiamondApricot hey and welcome! It’s such a tough one on whether to test on your bday, not sure I could hold out but I guess you can see how your symptoms are beforehand? Sometimes I just like to know!

@Kirstylvsya welcome! Sorry to hear of your MC ☹️Well done on the weight loss, that’s amazing! Are you following any particular diet?
I started keto in June and have lost 2stone so far, another 10lbs to go before I’d be eligible for IVF on NHS (hopefully won’t need if this is my month!) but my personal goal is to lose another 2 stone.
we’re on the same DPO too 🙌🏼

@TTCRainbow glad you’re feeling good but got some signs there- crossing everything for you! I know, it is good to take the pressure off symptom spotting but it is hard to ignore everything that’s going on.
yes thinking the same that won’t need the preseed!
Since I’ve started talking to friends about my pcos, I’ve discovered so many people have it, it’s crazy. I had to go private to get mine diagnosed and I’m so glad i did because I can now manage the symptoms - I knew id had it for a while but the bloods the GP did, didn’t show anything wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Sb86 will keep you posted! The only thing we did again this month was DTD every day from like CD8 to CD17. I know it’s not recommended but we did this last month while we were on holiday and got a positive test so thought it would be worth it again this month - we have nothing to lose at this point (it is knackering though DTD everyday in working life 😂)

Soooo I did an internet cheapie test this morning which was obviously a BFN at 9dpo, with all my best efforts I couldn’t hold off 😂.
My symptoms are all still there (almost cried at work again yesterday and burst into tears as soon as DH got home 😩) but my BBT did drop a bit this morning🤷🏻‍♀️. Testing again tomorrow morning 😂

@Luna0905

No Decided this year is going to be my year, getting healthy in general. Not necessarily TTC tho that would be an added bonus! Got myself a coach and a training plan, exercise 5 times a week, 3 gym 2 walks etc and stay under my calories. Also Werner myself off my anti depressants at the end of last year and stopped smoking in Dec. I'm an all or nothing girl so just going for it.

Leto is ment to be fab but I couldn't be that strict.

Have you any signs or symptoms? When will you test?

That’s amazing, you’ve done so well doing all of that at once!
My consultant recommended keto specifically for pcos but I do more low carb as I like to have a bit of flexibility to still enjoy life. It doesn’t feel as strict when you’re used to it! Massive bonus I can have cream in my coffee!

i have all the symptoms - cramps, nausea, food tastes funny, indegestion, sore boobs, mood swings, back ache so hoping this is all going in the right direction 🤞🏼 I tested this morning, obvs it was a BFN, will test again tomorrow on 10dpo. Are you going to test tomorrow too? Xxx

@Luna0905 please excuse all the typos above I hope you understood lol

What symptoms on PCOS do you have? I only found out I had it after my first when trying for my second hence why I needed clomid. I definitely think the weight loss helped me first time.

I've tested this morning again and BFN I just have a feeling tho, could be completely wrong and possibly haven't even ovulated at all. Going to try BBT next month just to confirm.

Ordered some cheapies from eBay will prob do them every day, I wasn't fussed about testing until I came in here, now I'm addicted. I also drink 2L water a day minimum so FMU is going to be my best bet.

Hi all - joining as period due 1st March (currently 8DPO). Realllllly hoping to hold out until period (or near) to test as I’m not sure my heart can handle a string of squinters! Just want to test once and be sure.

TTC no.1 after an ectopic pregnancy in June 2022 and a chemical in January 2023. This is my first cycle on clomid so really hoping for a miracle!

@TTCRainbow oh my god, that's exactly what I've been saying that I wanted to be pregnant before our due date in May. I got a really faint positive on a test this month but started bleeding 2 days later when I went to test again but not thinking too much of that to be honest as the only thing I felt was really tender nipples. We do put too much pressure on ourselves but it's so hard not to when you want something so bad especially when you thought it was happening and you have a loss. Its heartbreaking either way when you're trying and the test says negative 😔

Really wishing everyone the best of luck for a BFP 🥰

@Luna0905 oh I know tell me about it haha we've tried different approaches when it comes to dtd and like you this month we have dtd every day since cd8 to today cd14 🤣🤣 most of those days twice! I'm shattered haha. We shall see it works or not, I know they don't recommend it but worth a shot.

Your symptoms sound positive so hopefully you'll be getting your BFP very soon 🤞🏼
