Creating a thread for anyone close to ovulation or already in the TWW! I find this journey easier speaking to people going through the same and on the same timeline. We are trying for baby #1 after a MC end of June/July, we was going with the flow but after nothing happening we decided to start tracking ovulation last month and this month i started tracking BBT as well. This month is also our first month using Preseed after I saw so many people say it helped!

I am currently 3DPO - Ovulation was on cycle day 15 confirmed by BBT.

My scan is tomorrow too! It's funny how these scans are so exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. I'm looking forward to it though. Is anyone planning to find out the sex?

@DiamondApricot I'm trying to side sleep but I'm finding it so uncomfortable this time around! I need to break out my pregnancy pillow and give it a good clean. It takes up so much of the bed though!

Sb86 · 20/06/2023 13:37

Not finding out @UnwieldyRhombus never have, love the surprise too much 🥰

TTCRainbow · 20/06/2023 15:12

@DiamondApricot they really are aren't they! I am alway excited until the day/night before and then the worry and nerves start to kick in!

I do 90% of the time sleep on my side anyway but i have found myself anxious of waking up and being on my back! Started to get a little uncomfortable and swap side to side alot through the night but haven't got a pillow yet!

@Sb86 aww cant wait to see all our updates tomorrow! Think its amazing that you can hold out to find out xx

@UnwieldyRhombus Sorry just see your reply on next page! We already know its a boy from 16 week scan and i think from the photos there is no mistake!! Cant wait to see him again and how much he's changed and grown in the last 4 weeks. For our 16 week scan he was being naughty and wouldnt give us any good photos other than his pottyshot! So far from this group we've got 2 boys and a girl!

@TTCRainbow oh my 😍😍😍😍 too blooming cute!! Glad everything went well 🥰 thanks for the luck, I'm so nervous now 😥 xx

Myperfectchaos · 21/06/2023 13:10

Aw how lovely.. the scanning machine wasn’t working properly for mine, they could see everything was fine but not clear enough for the pictures they needed. So I’m back in 2 weeks

UnwieldyRhombus · 21/06/2023 13:38

I'm having a boy! Not sure my 4yo daughter will be best pleased as she wanted a sister but I've prepared her for it going either way. Everything looked healthy on the scan which is really reassuring!

Now I have to go back to work which is...ugh. Super stressful at the moment. I know I can hardly start my maternity leave now but I feel so done with manager nonsense and wish I could just enjoy the pregnancy!

Sb86 · 21/06/2023 15:11

@Myperfectchaos that's a bummer about the pictures but lovely you go again in 2 weeks to see baby again and obviously great everything is well 🥰

Congratulations on the healthy scan and the news of a little boy @UnwieldyRhombus hope work calms down for you so you can relax a little x

DiamondApricot · 22/06/2023 14:46

Congratulations to everyone who has had their scan. Fab pic @TTCRainbow
@Sb86 I massively admire your restraint on finding out the sex, how did the scan go??
@Myperfectchaos my due date twin, sorry about the scanning equipment, similar thing happened to me last time but at least it means an extra scan.

Excited for tomorrow, she's kicking the hell out of me today so looking forward to seeing her again😊

Sb86 · 22/06/2023 18:39

Hi guys, sorry I didn't post yesterday was trying to get my head round things...I doubt I ever will. Scan went really well until they looked at the bottom of the spine and saw a gap, our poor little baby has spina bifida. We have been referred to Leeds fetal medicine and have an appointment tomorrow for more indepth scans/tests. Needless to say we are absolutely devastated by this news, I just can't believe it's happening. We will know more tomorrow and be given choices for going forward which regardless will be so difficult. Please keep us and our baby in your prayers xx

@DiamondApricot good luck for your scan tomorrow xx

DiamondApricot · 22/06/2023 20:46

@Sb86 I know there's nothing we can say that'll make this news ok for you but you and your baby are very much in my thoughts. I hope you can get some answers tomorrow and wish you all the absolute best. I'm sure others will agree that despite being internet strangers, we are here for you if you want to talk 💐

Sb86 · 22/06/2023 21:04

Thankyou @DiamondApricot I haven't even told ny closest friends but you guys have been there since day one so it seems right. Will let you know what gets said tomorrow xx

DiamondApricot · 23/06/2023 13:37

I am lucky enough to say that everything was fine for our baby girl this morning, only snag is that I have a low lying placenta. They're going to scan again at 34 weeks and it should move up by then but if not, I'm bound for a section.
Also found out that because I'm going on a long haul business trip in two weeks, I have to have daily injections from 28 weeks, not looking forward to that.

Myperfectchaos · 23/06/2023 18:06

@DiamondApricot what a lovely scan pic! I think the placenta etc has plenty time to move!

Sb86 · 23/06/2023 18:20

@DiamondApricot ahhh lovely little pic 😍 hopefully the placenta will move up as baby grows xx

DiamondApricot · 23/06/2023 20:45

@Sb86 how did everything go today? If you want to talk about it of course

Sb86 · 23/06/2023 21:33

I'll just copy and paste what I put in my family group as it's a bit of an essay.

Had ultrasounds, amniocentesis and blood tests. Waiting for results for the genetic testing which we should get Tuesday or Wednesday, they just want to make sure there's no underlying condition or anything genetic that caused it. They did say that everything else on the scan is how it should be so fingers crossed that nothing comes from the tests. The lesion is below the area for being eligible for fetal surgery but he's going to double check when he sees us again Thursday. On one hand it's good as it means the spina bifida isn't as bad as it could be but then it means if we continue with the pregnancy that it will be nervewracking not knowing if things are going to get worse...the Dr did say it's not bound to. Baby has one talipes foot but that is something that can be corrected overtime from 1-2 weeks with physio and casts/splints. Baby would be born in Leeds and have surgery within hours of birth to put the nerves back into the spine and close it up. There's a chance baby's toileting could be affected and possibly sexual function but we won't know until further down the line. He did say that the baby should be mobile as the lesion is not in the part of the spine that affects the leg movements. Feeling slightly more positive than we were on weds and yesterday but there's still a dark cloud looming. It's the not knowing that's hard at this moment but hopefully next week will bring more answers still and we are better equipped to make what will be a life changing decision regardless. Maaaan life sucks at times 💔

DiamondApricot · 26/06/2023 14:16

I'm glad that they haven't hung around keeping you waiting and that there are some answers. I wish you all the best for the genetic testing results and whatever comes next 💐

Myperfectchaos · 26/06/2023 17:59

@Sb86 whatever comes of all the tests please remember to take some time for yourself to ensure you are looked after. Your stress levels must be through the roof

TTCRainbow · 30/06/2023 16:46

Hey sorry I’m so late replying we went away on holiday after our scan and I’m only just catching up.

@Sb86 I am so sorry to hear your news 😔 No one in this world deserves the heartache you must be facing right now. I really hope you’ve had so positive results since your message. Just know any decision you make for your baby will always be the right one. Sending you so much love and strength to you and your family ❤️

How is everyone getting on? I feel like this is the most dull bit of a pregnancy, you're (hopefully) over the sickness, bump is there but not massive and obvious yet, no scans to look forward to and you're really only halfway there. The kicking is good though, can see and feel it from the outside now.

Myperfectchaos · 15/07/2023 20:11

I am huge!! Keeping being asked if I’m sure it’s one haha!

sickness mostly gone which is nice, I have regular scans to look forward too because of previous small babies.

we bought our side cot and know what pram we want now so that’s progress, still feel really unorganised!!

whats everyone bought so far?
