Creating a thread for anyone close to ovulation or already in the TWW! I find this journey easier speaking to people going through the same and on the same timeline. We are trying for baby #1 after a MC end of June/July, we was going with the flow but after nothing happening we decided to start tracking ovulation last month and this month i started tracking BBT as well. This month is also our first month using Preseed after I saw so many people say it helped!

I am currently 3DPO - Ovulation was on cycle day 15 confirmed by BBT.

Hey all 🫶🏼 All good here I’m the same as you @DiamondApricot and not massive but definitely have a bump! The only thing I’ve been suffering with is heartburn/indigestion and keep getting cramp in my left leg in the night 😩

Also I’m glad someone’s messaged as I’ve been feeling and seeing a lot of movement from 19 weeks even though I have an anterior placenta but yesterday and today I’ve hardly felt anything, questioning if anything… I’m 23 weeks + 3 so I don’t know if it’s too early for them to check? I duno panicking a little, he has such a normal routine 😩

We’ve booked a 4D scan for 3 weeks time so we’ve got that to look forward too but we’ve hardly brought anything yet @Myperfectchaos 🙈 I want to get nursery sorted first so I have a place for stuff as a little OCD but I do think we need to start 😂 what have you guys got? Anyone not first time mum and have any tips on stuff?? 🤍🤍

@TTCRainbow I've been feeling movement since about 14 weeks, at 17 there was a few days without anything so I called the community midwives. They sent me in to the MDAU just for a quick dopler for reassurance even though I was so early. The upshot is, get it checked out, nobody will chastise you for it!

It's my second time around so re using almost everything. We have bought an ultra compact buggy and I got another black out travel blind in the prime sale. I've bought a few cute onesies but we don't really need anything else. I'm full of recommendations/tips though!

Myperfectchaos · 15/07/2023 21:58

@TTCRainbow im not a first time mum.

things I recommend baby sleeping bags, swaddle blanket, muslins.

things I don’t recommend huge baby bags to carry about. You end up filling it with stuff you never use and it weighs a tonne. buying loads of newborn outfits, they grow so fast and you get loads as gifts! Mine will probably live in baby grows for the first while

we are going for an egg2 buggy this time. I had a mamas and pappas one before but it wasn’t sturdy enough for my liking.

has anyone been thinking of names yet?

TTCRainbow · 16/07/2023 10:18

@DiamondApricot @Myperfectchaos Im just terrible at feeling like a hypochondriac or like you said wasting time but yeah I need to start just not caring and raise any concerns I have! I drink a cold bottle of water and laid on my left side last night and think I felt him a few times and maybe this morning but just not as strong or as much as normal but maybe he’s just hiding behind my placenta.. if I still feel the same later I’ll contact them!

I have started a list for everything just need to start purchasing it all, my boyfriend is so laid back he wouldn’t see the hurry but if we leave everything last minute I can’t see how we could £££ 🙈 I’m definitely going to save everything I can because would love the opportunity to have a least a second! 👶🏼

Yeah @Myperfectchaos we've already named him which will 100% be his name! Cruz 👶🏼 I know we haven’t seen him yet and people wait to see what name they suit but I literally can’t imagine him as anything else now xxx

I think they would always rather you contact or go in and it turns out to be fine than the alternative.

I'd echo @Myperfectchaos on the tips, sleeping bags yes, especially love to dream, onesies until they start nursery for us! Lots of cloths, nappy caddy on every floor of your house to hold all the changing stuff, a dock a tot for day naps. Bulk cook and freeze in advance for the first few weeks, gousto or hello fresh after that so no mental energy is going on meal planning /grocery shopping.
Take any help you're offered, the first 12 weeks is about survival.

For the pram, we've got a Bugaboo Fox 2 but I recommend the stroller workshop on YouTube for great independent reviews to help you choose.

No bloody wipe warmers, special twisty nappy bins, massive changing bags or those self swaying chairs and cribs, huge waste of money. Absolutely everything can be picked up cheaply second hand except the car seat. We had a mix of hand me downs, new and bought second hand.

I think we've picked our name but we're not sharing before she's born because our families are too opinionated but they will keep it to themselves once she's here!

How is everyone getting on? Just had my 28 week growth scan to see my little gymnast with her feet above her head!

@DiamondApricot what a cute pic. I had my growth scan on Wednesday. Said he is weighing 2lbs 10oz and measuring “on track for me” so small but not anything to worry about. What weight did they say for you?

DiamondApricot · 25/08/2023 14:39

I can't remember what the exact weight was, 2lb 2oz maybe but they said she was tracking on the 18th centile so no concerns as above the 10th. My son was exactly the same, born 7lb 1oz at 39+2.

TTCRainbow · 25/08/2023 21:44

Aww amazing @DiamondApricot she looks she’s got the cutest button nose 🥺🩷 We had a 4D scan at 26 + 4 (I’ll add photos) I really can no believe how quick the last couple of months have gone! Still in same situation and not really got much 🙈 Will you both have growth scans now until the end? @Myperfectchaos Hope everyone is doing ok! I’ve been getting heartburn on and off and some days I feel really tight and uncomfortable but just absolutely amazed how our bodies do it 🥹 xxx

Update from me - 31 midwife appointment my Intergrowth Fundal Height measurement was measuring small, around 3 weeks behind so pretty much not grown since 28 week’s appointment! Waiting for growth scan to come through but I’m hoping he was just tucked away or in funny position 🤞🏼 Hope everyone else is all good and coping ok in the heat! Xx

I have to go back today for more bloods as they didn’t get enough for my full blood count a couple weeks ago. I’ve been getting really puffy and dizzy so getting checked for pre eclampsia today.

I don’t have my next growth scan until 29th September. I have pulled my maternity leave forward so finish on that day too!

3 weeks to go until I can hopefully have some me time before our next chapter

DiamondApricot · 14/09/2023 13:10

I've got 8 working days left now and I'm so done, checked out last week.

Had my 32 week growth scan this morning, she's estimated 15th centile at 3lb 13oz. How are your little ones doing?

Myperfectchaos · 14/09/2023 17:47

I had a scan too for reduced movements but all is fine. Was 4lbs at 31 weeks! My babies have all been around 4-5 lbs when they arrive so this is different.

so uncomfy now. Next scan is the 29th which is also my last day at work. So ready for work to be done and my baby to be here 😂

TTCRainbow · 03/07/2024 20:14

How is everyone doing 🥺🥺🥺 can’t believe how quick time is going. Hope everyone is well 🫶🏼

8 months today! Started talking about what to do for her first birthday, time flies. How are you doing @TTCRainbow ?

TTCRainbow · 03/07/2024 20:40

@DiamondApricot doing really good thank you just cherishing every little moment 🥺 feeling anxious of going back to work which isn’t until November but it’s on my mind! I requested flexible working hours months ago and haven’t heard a thing! Xxx

OP posts:
DiamondApricot · 03/07/2024 20:44

I'm back at the end of September, it's definitely creeping up on me.
Did you make a formal request? They have to respond within 2 months if you did, check out the Acas page on it.

How's weaning going? We're mostly on 2 meals a day now but struggle to fit it in some days!

TTCRainbow · 04/07/2024 09:44

@DiamondApricot yeah I did a formal one had to send form but it’s been way longer than that.. I’ll have to have a look into it more. I find any information on things like that or nursery funding etc hard to find..

I'm so glad you’ve said that I’ve found weaning really hard and sometimes stressful.. I feel the same and was trying to do breakfast then add lunch thinking I should be doing it breakfast.. then adding lunch.. then adding dinner but I’ve found doing breakfast and then more of a tea/dinner at 3/4pm better fitting in. Also had some scary experiences with gagging/chocking which the last ended up with him projectile vomiting about 5 times, the whole content of his stomach because I’m sure he was choking/most choking on a rusk… he did a cough and then sort of went quite then the vomiting. I know it’s good their body is doing what it needs to do and it’s good practice but it really knocks me back in confidence with it! Xxx
