Thanks everyone, I'll be ok it's just more risky than we originally thought. Quite a shock to be told I need to consent to a hysterectomy and what the chances of haemorrhaging are. Baby has attached to wall rather than the endometrium so they will do their best but I'll be the 4th lady the hospital have done this procedure on in the last 3 years so it's tricky. They've only had 5 cases in total in that time, 1 had the methotrexate and the other opted to go ahead with the pregnancy and delivered at 28 weeks but needed a hysterectomy with the c section. I feel like I'm in a dream, how can I have lost 3 babies in 10 months for rare and unusual reasons. My luck makes me worry I'll end up with the hysterectomy! Maybe that's what it'll take though to help me draw a line under this.

@Kranke thanks for sharing your experience- do you by chance know what your hgc levels were? I'm not sure they'll offer me that option in reality, they said they don't want my hcg to be over 50,000 but it was already 20,000 on Monday and there's no timescale for the MRI even yet as they need a kidney function test back before the form can be sent. I agree with you about the enforced time out - that will be exactly what I need, I keep jumping straight back into this madness!
@bringmearainbow I used the easy at home ones for the first time last month and was fine with them, just confirmed with the clear blue when they showed high and for me they both gave the peak on the same day

@MrsC2018 oh so sorry lovely😢 I’d never heard of this until a lady I know had it happen to her, she had a hysterectomy with her c section too. It’s just so unfair as if losing the baby isn’t bad enough!

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/02/2023 12:05

@ChloeN it's so had, I did the test yesterday and then got a group message that a family member had had her baby, and it was just a kick in the teeth as it should have been my turn next In a month or so! Still no sign of period today, so fingers crossed! Hope you're doing okay? Xxx

ScrantonDunderMifflin · 16/02/2023 18:52

@Brokenpancreas94 those are so painful.. so sorry. I hope today's been a bit better for you ❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/02/2023 19:00

@ScrantonDunderMifflin a bit better thank you, still no period but did another test and it was negative. I just want either my period to arrive so I can be annoyed that I'm not pregnant or a positive test so I can then be nervous but hopeful as well! X

ChloeN · 16/02/2023 19:12

@Brokenpancreas94 oh that’s horrible, you’re happy for them but sad for yourself😢 hopefully next cycle brings you better luck❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/02/2023 19:27

@ChloeN yes, I said congratulations but it's just hard 😞. Seeing as this month looks like another fail, I don't know where I'm going wrong! Xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/02/2023 23:06

Just got my period 😢 4 months after a miscarriage, when is it realistically/likely to happen to fall pregnant? Or does it just vary with everyone?

TheBirdintheCave · 16/02/2023 23:26

@Brokenpancreas94 It's about a 20-30% chance every month if you time things right and have no fertility issues. Sometimes it can just take a while to get a lucky roll of the dice. It took me three months to get pregnant with the first miscarriage pregnancy but then eight with the second.

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/02/2023 23:32

@TheBirdintheCave could my low iron be playing a factor too? X

FfoxRedN · 17/02/2023 08:19

@Brokenpancreas94 you're not doing anything wrong. It can be normal to take at least a year. It also may be a positive sign if it takes a little longer as your body is then being selective on what it implants. Keep going you will get there 🥰

Everyone is different and lots of different factors to consider. Your period has returned so that's a positive and your body has started doing its thing again. Takes time to recover.

Brokenpancreas94 · 17/02/2023 10:56

@FfoxRedN @ttcttc I guess I've just got to be patient some how. Are there any good vitamins to take? Or anything that could help? Xx

ChloeN · 17/02/2023 12:18

@Brokenpancreas94 i took vitamin d, folic acid, dha and COQ10, no idea if they helped at all but thought it was worth taking something!

Brokenpancreas94 · 17/02/2023 12:23

@ChloeN I will have a look thank you! How many weeks are you now? Xxx

ChloeN · 17/02/2023 18:13

@Brokenpancreas94 no worries☺️ it helped for me to take them because I felt I was doing something rather than just hoping for the best! 16 weeks! Xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 17/02/2023 18:27

@ChloeN I will need to set reminders or something haha, I'm meant to be taking ferritin fumerate 3 times a day but keep forgetting!!
Aww how exciting! I hope everything is going well for you! Xx

TheBirdintheCave · 17/02/2023 18:36

@ChloeN Ah nuts, I was trying to forget how far along I should have been 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

MrsJGrealish · 17/02/2023 19:15

@TheBirdintheCave ☹️ keep soldering on ❤️ Xx

TrulyMiss · 20/02/2023 09:36

Morning ladies! Has anyone else had early or much heavier periods post-miscarriage? This is my third period since my miscarriage in November and it is much heavier than usual. It was also 3 days early which is very surprising as I was on letrozole this month which should have regulated my cycle... just something else to worry and stress over I guess!

Chellooo · 20/02/2023 09:39

@TrulyMiss yes mine completely changed after mmc last May. I used to have really really light ones lasting 3 days and now they last 5 and the 1st day is really heavy x

TrulyMiss · 20/02/2023 10:06

Thanks @Chellooo. Do you know if it means anything or is it just annoying?

TheBirdintheCave · 20/02/2023 10:34

@TrulyMiss My first period post MMC this time round was very heavy and I suspect this cycle it will be earlier than usual as I've possibly just O'd at CD10 🤔 It seems it's just par for the course after a miscarriage unfortunately.

tulipsunday · 20/02/2023 10:55

Morning everyone. Ovulation last cycle was day 11 so was really on it this time making sure we were giving it a good shot as soon as I got a flashing smiley on clear blue on day 9. Day 14 and still bloody flashing 😂

Good luck to anyone else driven barmy by ovulation sticks. @ChloeN just seen below you are 16 weeks now.. amazing!

Chellooo · 20/02/2023 10:57

@TrulyMiss honestly I think the mmc just reset everything as its been like that for near a year now. It's very predictable and like clockwork, which is a good thing so I've just taken it as my new norm. It's nothing that is extreme enough for me to go see the doc it's just heavier than what I was used to. Sorry if that just confuses you x
