@TheBirdintheCave my first period after surgery was ridiculous. I literally was filling super max tampons in like 45 mins and it was flooding out. Which has never happened. After couple days it slowed down. And next one was normal for me xx

@MrsJGrealish urgh 3rd time? That's really unlucky..I expect your symptoms should be mild then. My DH tends to bring his home from work..also in a public facing role. The joys! Soo I spent months going around in circles trying to decide whether to get my final covid booster. Eventually after enough research ( frantically googling medical journals/reports etc) I went for my booster around 3 weeks ago..and touch wood, both me and baby are fine. I had zero side effects as well luckily. Just look after yourself these next few days and take paracetamol as and when needed. Plenty of water and rest, everything crossed 🤞🏻 for you xx

@Indianna2006 I wonder why it happens, like what is the science behind it? If all of my lining was sucked out then surely it can't have built up that much in the five weeks since the surgery, can it? And why would it be more than normal? My brain can't make sense of it 😂

@TheBirdintheCave I have no idea. You’d think it would be the opposite but I think they tend to say it can actually be heavier.
I’m presuming something scientific behind it like your hormones are still settling and so perhaps build the lining more. And Altho the lining was removed. It’s like a fresh restart and so new blood flow goes there creating a thicker healthier lining I think. Rather than old stagnant blood.

@calimc83 i don't have a temperature hallelujah. 2nd infection was awful. Hopefully I have natural antibodies. Body aches and throat at the mo. A bit nauseous literally just puked up a paracetamol 🤢 along with the fish I ate at dinner. My general life motto is don't think and swallow (the mouthful of puke in this case 🤣) I don't do well with actual sick

@Indianna2006 I'll ask when we next go to the clinic as I'm really curious and will report back 😂

@MrsJGrealish the covid element aside I am so happy to have seen your update! If anything use having covid as an excuse to snuggle up warm, eat soup, rest well and settle that little embryo in nice and tight! They reckon a warm uterus is a happy uterus 🤣. I am really hoping with everything it sticks around, you truly deserve this 💕 xx

@TheBirdintheCave I suspect something to do with hormones maybe? Would be interesting to know though as mine was the same as was quite scary how heavy it was at times!

@MrsJGrealish oh my goodness, I see that! You have been so unlucky with getting covid again, hope you're not feeling too bad? For what it's worth, I had covid right at the beginning with this one and all has been fine 🤞

@calimc83 I'm okay thanks! Had 12 week scan on Friday, all is good which feels so surreal. Trying to decide if I go for a nipt test as whilst I'm low risk, I'm not quite as low as I was when I had DD so not sure if the nipt will give me the extra reassurance? Did you do one? Due date must be getting close now, how are you feeling? Good to know about the vaccine, I might consider it once I'm much further along! X

@bunnykins123 I'm ok, still bleeding like crazy but fingers crossed it will start to settle after today. I hope it's not going to ruin my chances this month by destroying my lining again :/ It's funny as this didn't happen after the first miscarriage. My AF was just normal immediately.

@FfoxRedN not to sound like a creep, but I was thinking of you this morning 😂 I had a stupid stupid situation in which I can't seem to be able to take the high road, and I thought about how you always seem so calm, composed, and it seems you genuinely have the energy for everyone else regardless of anything that happens. I'm sorry if my assumption is wrong but I used you as an example for myself 😂

@ScrantonDunderMifflin that's so sweet, my DH says I am annoying diplomatic and take the middle ground. Don't get me wrong though I absolutely have my moments 🤣🤣🤣. I hope you managed to sort your issue, sometimes just a good vent and rant and swear cleanses the soul 😂 xx

Ehh, I don't know. Maybe I'm too childish, maybe I'm too awful. Maybe I'll never be able to live life like normal people do. Some months ago I was saying here about how DH's friend ignored him totally, DH couldn't get answer to any of his phone calls or his messages. All because we lost our pregnancy (both pregnancies were due the same date).
Yesterday I found baby stuff in DHs car and was confused but turns out he now got through to his 'friend' (I guess they aren't worried about infectious miscarriages now that the baby's been born a while ago) so DH and MIL were buying stuff for their baby. I'm not sure if I could still care so much about someone who literally disappeared on me for 5-7 months during a very difficult time.
DH thinks I'm not nice, I think he's too nice. I know he's probably right though.
It just broke my heart and I know I'm irrational. I'm pregnant now so shouldn't be thinking that 'our baby should be here too' but at the same time, until I hold a healthy living baby, I won't relax. In my head, anything can happen until the very last minute. Plus I had some concerns last couple days.
DH wants us to start meeting up with these people again in the future. However, I hold my friends to higher standards and tend to not meet up with d**ks so not sure I can make an exception. This will definitely cause arguments in the future. Definitely not a diplomat 😂

Bloody hell. My headache is so bad it's only just bearable. Been days now argh.

I don't want to take paracetamol as regularly as I would usually with this kind of headache (it's heading towards a migraine) but obviously it's also not good for me to be super stressed and in pain.

Everything says it's ok to take paracetamol but if I need to for a few days (maybe 2-3 doses a day) is that safe? Will see if I can chat to my doctor tomorrow but not sure what to do in the meantime.

Took a test today for the first time in a few days and not going to do any more until I have a scan now. It was a dye stealer so that's reassured me a bit.

Selfishly posting this without catching up on everyone's posts but going to look through them when my head is less awful. Any advice on paracetamol is much appreciated in the meantime and I hope everyone is doing OK

@monsteramunch beautiful line ❤️ Paracetamol is okay as long as you don't take more than the recommended dose.
Sorry I think you already said you book (or planning to book) a 7 week scan? Have you got a date for it yet? ☺️

@ScrantonDunderMifflin I think I've several hundred one steps 🙈 and a digital and likely some easy@homes too but I'm going to wait til tomorrow. When I say I've no energy I'm not joking, can barely pick up the water. DH must think I'm dying. I still have to get up to take the aspirin too 😫. Ok making a move now. Ill update if I start to spot or take another test 🤞😘

Yeah my 12 week results were really low risk as well..but I just thought with being older I'd go for the nipt. Defo reassured me at the time and up until about 2 weeks ago 😆..now I'm googling how often the results are wrong! Argh 😖..I didn't opt to find out the gender but u can..will u find out do u think? Yeah with the vaccine I wanted to wait till everything was fully developed and the MW recommend it to cover u in 3rd trimester when it can make u really poorly if u happen to catch it. So I finished work on Friday..I'll be 35 weeks in a few days! @monsteramunch I took loads of paracetamol in the first 2 trimesters due to headaches, u will be fine to take it xx
