@monsteramunch that's more than a bit of a dye stealer!

I took paracetamol many times in my first trimester, including over a number of days as I got hit by some horrible colds.

I also got quite a few tension headaches and it just made me more stressed feeling them. The relief of painkillers was worth it.

MrsJGrealish · 12/02/2023 13:53

@LuckyMoonstone you can't leave us dangling like that..who is this person??!

@calimc83 he knows nothing and is going away on Tuesday so if all goes ok I'll tell him after that. Thankfully because I'm sick and he's going abroad he's keeping his distance. I really don't trust DTD in the early weeks. It's like my body is looking for an excuse to spot. I don't really believe it myself until I see it on a proper test xx I'll be a day late on Tuesday..longest luteal phase ever to date is 12 days
Oh my 35 weeks!! How has this happened so quickly?!

LuckyMoonstone · 12/02/2023 14:01

@MrsJGrealish absolutely not 😂 I’m looking forward to seeing your FRER tomorrow! Can you stash your FMU in a cup somewhere until they come haha
@monsteramunch paracetamol will be fine, no midwife has ever told me to take less than what the packet says anyone else should take

MrsJGrealish · 12/02/2023 14:05

@LuckyMoonstone oh yea for sure. That's actually a good idea I wouldn't have even thought to do that. But I was intending to test anyway xx

calimc83 · 12/02/2023 15:00

@MrsJGrealish don't think we've dtd since conception! 😂😂...seriously cba! Plus we're in separate rooms as apparently I snore like a walrus now! 😫..it's weird it's not flown but now I'm getting towards the end and I have a date for the section it seems to be flying. I need to sort a hospital bag really over these next few days..makes it seem more real x

ScrantonDunderMifflin · 12/02/2023 15:03

MrsJGrealish · 12/02/2023 13:12

Omg I missed the brits..Harry styles 😍

Yeah but what about Sam Smith 😂😂

ScrantonDunderMifflin · 12/02/2023 15:06

@LuckyMoonstone I don't know why but Pears Morgan came to my head, please please don't kill me if I'm wrong 😂

MrsJGrealish · 12/02/2023 15:22

@ScrantonDunderMifflin I mean @LuckyMoonstone crush could be Sam smith. I wouldn't admit to that 😂. I've a few back cramps which im trying to ignore 😕 and boobs are starting to hurt. Next step is spotting 🙄

MrsJGrealish · 12/02/2023 15:37

@calimc83 separate rooms sounds like a dream 😂 yep if deffo advise a hospital bag possibly soon. My first was born at 36 weeks 😬

calimc83 · 12/02/2023 15:53

@MrsJGrealish ohhhhh shit really??? Best get it sorted...did u have any signs of labour beforehand?? Praying AF doesn't show for you. Your line yesterday was super strong 😬. Also Sam Smith 🤯🤢..my weird crush...Alan Titchmarsh! 🫣 x

LuckyMoonstone · 12/02/2023 15:56

@MrsJGrealish @ScrantonDunderMifflin noooo neither of those pair 🤣 it’s not somebody controversial just someone who isn’t exactly a well-known hunk and is a bit odd 😅

MrsJGrealish · 12/02/2023 16:14

@calimc83 I know I'm hoping🙏 Where does covid end and pregnancy begin🙁 no spotting yet🤞

@LuckyMoonstone a clue at least? For the sick person 🤒

LuckyMoonstone · 12/02/2023 16:30

@MrsJGrealish ermmm… he has dark hair and is an actor/writer 😂 and he’s getting on a bit now but in my sexy dreams about him i pretend he’s his younger self 🤣oh I wish I’d never started this now

ScrantonDunderMifflin · 12/02/2023 16:31

Oops my phone corrected Morgan's name.
@MrsJGrealish I hope this cramping goes away 🙏
@LuckyMoonstone is it a singer? An actor?

LuckyMoonstone · 12/02/2023 16:36

@ScrantonDunderMifflin I did laugh at pears 😂 he’s an actor. I fear the conversation is getting derailed now 🤣

MrsJGrealish · 12/02/2023 17:01

@LuckyMoonstone like curly dark hair? Don't worry I'm losing the energy for this too now 😅 If Harry was here now I'd be 'I'm tired Harry, can you do the dinner?'

LuckyMoonstone · 12/02/2023 17:44

@MrsJGrealish no not curly 😅 I feel like a silly teenager who won’t tell her friends who she has a crush on 😂 wow you must be tired! Can you do dinner and then maybe do me later 😅

Indianna2006 · 12/02/2023 18:30

@MrsJGrealish so sorry your feeling so rubbish lovely. Just rest rest rest.

@bunnykins123 yay for 12 week scan. How lovely. Glad all was well 🥰

@calimc83 wow as if your finished and nearly 35 weeks. Are you all prepared for section then? i am mostly swayed that way but then a midwife will talk to me about other options and a nice easy normal delivery and I almost waiver but I think ultimately I’m not sure I want to take the chance. It’s so hard.
mine is cos I had a 3rd degree tear first time. As forcep delivery and it was seperate to my episiotomy so quite a bit of scar tissue. It took a long while for me to feel more normal. And Altho the risk is small ish it’s higher than first time. Like 10% chance it happened again. An I do not want that. I want to keep to good repair they gave me and save my vagina tbh 😂 but equally keep thinking should I give it a go. But if it all goes wrong last minute I’ll deeply regret it and my MH will suffer massively.

ugh It’s very annoying. I also fall into bad luck categories often too so never trust myself.
pleaseeee let me know how your section goes. Altho I’m seeing my consultant in couple week and May decide by then but. Ugh. Lol.

calimc83 · 12/02/2023 18:42

@Indianna2006 I'm going mad! I'm coming up to 36 weeks 🫢..yep defo going with the c sec. Like you, I had a 3rd degree tear, episiotomy with my first. 2nd baby - they were like 'oh v small chance of a 3rd degree tear happening again..' and guess what...another 3rd degree tear. Really annoying as completely natural birth, super fast and no time for pain relief then ended up in theatre being stitched up, I've had a few issues since as well so there's no way I think, I could go natural again. My babies tend to come out back to back as well..and as far as I'm aware that can increase your risk of a 3rd degree tear..I think it's a really hard decision between c sec and natural birth. I just wanted someone to give me an answer as to what was the best option but they wouldn't 🙈 xx

Indianna2006 · 12/02/2023 18:51

@calimc83 omg no way! This is the thing. They say oh small chance. But there always has to be ppl in that 10% chance. 10% chance is too big for me when it was 3% first time and I was in that tiny percent. It was horrendous for me. And luckily I have no issues now. But I have lots of issues with scar tissue and pain and painful sex for at least the first year. It was not fun.
I don’t want any of that again. A yes my DF was back to back. 🙄 she got stuck sideways.
but yeh such a tough decision. But I don’t think I’d regret a c section a leave it all well alone with the good repair they gave me and not “chance” it I think. Cos worse case scenario and not healing well isn’t worth thinking about really.

😬 36 weeks wow sooo close. That’s mad.

calimc83 · 12/02/2023 19:13

@Indianna2006 it is soooo close! I think my babies always turn in labour as well so even if they don't start out back to back then I think they tend to turn so not a huge amount that can be done to encourage them the right way around..ouch sideways?! Jeez...😬..my 2nd birth, the 3rd degree tear wasn't as severe as the first but still classed as 3rd degree. I bet are a lot more common than they make out xx

ScrantonDunderMifflin · 12/02/2023 19:24

@calimc83 @Indianna2006 Just curious, does everyone have a chance to have an elective c section if they want or is it only if you have some sort of history (like tears in your cases)?
I have a massive fear of something happening to baby during delivery 😔😔

LuckyMoonstone · 12/02/2023 19:26

@ScrantonDunderMifflin you can request one for no other reason than you want one, it is your right

Indianna2006 · 12/02/2023 19:35

@ScrantonDunderMifflin 100% you have the right to request one. You may face opposition and 101 opinions and have to change consultants to find one to agree. BUT you can choose to have one yes.
just have to stick to your guns if that’s your decision xx

ScrantonDunderMifflin · 12/02/2023 19:45

@LuckyMoonstone @Indianna2006 thank you, I didn't know.
I had an illness some years ago and was initially told that because of that, they probably wouldn't want to put my body through natural delivery and a risk of infection and I needed to see a consultant. However, as I have fully recovered and there's no trace of any issues, I think they retracted the c section idea.
The only thing that scares me with C section that I heard of people who couldn't conceive at all after having had it due to scarring 😔
