Good news about sickness and happy baby @pinkpirlie

how is it going @Shaker21 ? I hope well. I finally got a peak today after 10 days of flashing smileys (!) so we will get to it today and tomorrow. We’ve roughly been doing every other day and o is looking like it’ll be tomorrow, so hopefully got the timing right. I realized as I haven’t been using opks I think I’ve been missing o quite often as mine is variable so that’s a lesson.

Shaker21 · 23/03/2023 16:51

@pinkpirlie That's good news that the sickness seems to be subsiding and that the baby was moving around and all seemed ok. How you feeling about the combined screening not able to be done?

@Annapolis35 Glad you finally got your peak! Now into ttw! It is crazy how much sometimes we don't realize when we ovulate some months and can completely miss it.

I am doing ok, tired throughout the day, insomnia at night, cramp and aches on and off, sore boobs and nipples so thankfully all good signs and no sign of any sickness yet so hopefully that stays away!

ANP2020 · 24/03/2023 05:40

Hey

@Shaker21 glad your doing ok! Glad you’ve not been hit by nausea!

well I’ve felt crampy and wet since yesterday tea so AF is round the corner! Nipples became progressively more sore yesterday as well. Bbt has dropped below the cover line this morning although I did take it a bit earlier as I needed a wee. So I think I’m likely out, shame as I was feeling so hopeful this cycle. Also a bit early to get AF if I did ovulate when I think as it shouldn’t come until Tuesday.

@Annapolis35 🤞🤞 for you now I. The tww! 10 days of flashing is a lot just shows how much we can vary in our cycles!!

@Jen05p how you getting on?

Jen05p · 24/03/2023 08:52

@ANP2020 ah sorry to hear it may be on its way. Absolutely hate those last few days when everything tells you af is coming but you still have hope because you never know!! Hang in there hoping for some good news.

@Shaker21 @pinkpirlie glad all is going well for you both!

I am ok, going to start letrozole again tonight 5mg for 5 days and then scan prob next Thurs on day 9. Will keep you updated xx

Annapolis35 · 24/03/2023 08:56

It felt like that flashing smiley face was taunting me @ANP2020 Sorry to hear AF may be coming, I’m really hoping for you! We are going to Skye next Saturday so that’ll help the 2ww go a bit quicker, I start to go a bit nuts from 7dpo onwards so distraction will be good.

@Jen05p good luck with the letrozole this cycle. I’m hoping for you that this is the one.

Jen05p · 24/03/2023 15:19

@Annapolis35 Oh it always helps having something fun to do during TWW! Hope you enjoy it and it can take your mind off it for a few days :)
xx

ANP2020 · 24/03/2023 22:25

@Jen05p good luck with this cycle! Have everything crossed for you! Is the 5mg a higher dose!

@Annapolis35 honestly thank god the flashing smiley doesn’t speak or have a theme tune it’d drive me insane!

well my body is choosing to torment me
as usual! I’ve felt like AF coming for since last night! Like you say just that awful limbo where part of you thinks maybe!! My nipples got so sore today and I’ve been cramping on and off all day and I never get that with AF so
i let my mind get hopeful! The only sigh AF coming for me is a bit of a full feeling and feeling wet! Anyway long story short just wiped and had some blood stained CM soooooo looks like I’m out! THEN comes the
ride of emotions of not been pregnant and feeling like a failure! It’s a bloody rough ride!!

ANP2020 · 24/03/2023 22:29

Ohhh and I didn’t tell you all had someone say to me at work the other day! When you having your second then?? I said oh not yet (cue heartbreak inside). Then they asked how old my child was and I told them and they said you better hurry up you don’t want too big of an age gap!!!

I could’ve screamed! I already feel awful I cant provide a sibling for him! An actual feeling of guilt and this just was like WOW! But for people who have never experienced issues they just don’t know what it’s like so don’t think anything of these comments!

Annapolis35 · 27/03/2023 11:05

Hey @ANP2020 so sorry that the person at work was so insensitive. People just don’t think or understand what people are going through! Did your AF arrive in the end? I hope not. Im just in the beginning of the 2ww now. Did I tell you what I’ve resorted to? I had a fertility tarot reading done (and I don’t even believe in it). It said that April was an important month but could either be month of conception, month when period starts of positive, important milestone in pregnancy, or month of birth. I know it’s nonsense and that is vague enough that it could mean anything. Anyway I’m clearly losing my mind over here…

ANP2020 · 29/03/2023 03:55

Hi @Annapolis35
hows the 2WW going?
AF dI’d arrive in the end but not before torturing me for three days with cramps (that I don’t normally get) really dark brown spotting so of course my mind was drawn to maybe just maybe it’s implantation bleeding! But no I was at a wedding on Saturday night and it arrived in full force in the middle of that! Fabulous timing!
However yesterday I got the go ahead to metformin, normally a diabetes drug but used of lisence for PCOS! I went to see the GP last week about the fact I had all the symptoms of PCOS but just not the actual cysts on my ovaries and she agreed, she spoke with endocrinology who agreed I could try this! So it’s supposed to help regulate cycles, cause weight loss and also make you ovulate if your not already so im
hoping it might do the trick! It comes with some quite nasty side effects (that involve the toilet) so I’m bracing myself for them! But took my first dose last night so far so good! You have to build up
to three doses a day over three weeks! There’s a lot of good news stories on the internet but I’m fully prepared I need to give it a few months to get going!
so April month I’m heading into positive! Plus it’s my bday month so ive got a
fair bit planned!
awww wow a fertility tarot reading I didn’t even know that was a thing!?! No judgement here if I had access to one I’d definitely use! I’m forever checking my start sign to see if it makes any pregnancy predictions! Let’s hope they’re right and April brings good news for you!! I have everything crossed!

Annapolis35 · 31/03/2023 08:21

Hey @ANP2020 i am glad to hear the news about the drug you’ve been given! I really hope it helps and you don’t get too many nasty side effects. I really need to kick my arse into gear and speak to a fertility doctor. I will do that this month when back from holiday definitely. I’ve been soooo busy at work. I am now 7dpo and feel the same as normal and no different at all so pretty sure AF will arrive next week. Luckily we are off on holiday tomorrow so will be nice and distracted during the time I normally go insane.

@Jen05p how are you doing now?

hope the pregnancies are going well @Shaker21 and @pinkpirlie

Jen05p · 05/04/2023 12:05

Hey all, sorry been a bit quiet just getting through the days. I had a follicle scan last Wednesday and they saw 2 good size follicles 1 was 19mm and another around 16/17 so dr advised to have the trigger injection that night. I am now in the TWW so just waiting and seeing what happens. Will test by next Friday if no AF shows up but recently it hasnt until I have tested and then stop taking cyclogest. It usually starts the next day. I am okay but slightly anxious in that this will be our 3rd try with letrozole at 5mg, trigger and cyclogest as progestrone support. Right at the beginning with the fertility dr they did mention 3 rounds and then moving onto IUI and then IVF.

I am not sure yet whether IUI will be our next option but its just a shame because I have been ovulating on letrozole and have good size follicles etc so thats why they didnt up the dose of letrozole. I think this would be our 18th month of trying for our second and not a positive in sight. I am trying to just enjoy the coming days and spend time with family over Easter break so hopefully time goes a bit faster. I dont feel any differently than I usually do in the TWW yet but my foot/back has started to throb which always happens before my period so I dont take it as a good sign.

@ANP2020 @Annapolis35 how are you both? where are you in your cycle? Hope you are well.

@Shaker21 @pinkpirlie hope your little baby bumps are doing well, keep us updated as you go through the 1st trimester.

Annapolis35 · 06/04/2023 10:10

Hey @Jen05p I am hoping for you this is the cycle and the medicine has worked. It’s anxious to know that IUI is the next step. I guess the symptoms will always be the same until implantation May have occurred so there is always hope.

My AF arrived yesterday but I’m ok. I have a feeling this one was a chemical as I had spotting for about 5 days before it arrived and it has been so heavy and painful, which is unusual and I had this gut feeling the other day. I would sort of rather not know about chemicals. I’m ok though, onto another cycle. Just trying to stay positive about it all. Going to book in for a fertility consultation too over the next couple of days so will get that rolling.

ANP2020 · 09/04/2023 06:58

Hello ladies

well not much to report here been super busy this month and we’ve somehow missed our fertile window without dtd! Cycle day 15 today so may try today incase of late ovulation!

ive titrated the metformin up to full dose now! Not sure if it’s done anything but I do get excess hair on my face and that’s reducing! so we’ll see, not too bothered if I miss this month as gives me time to let the tablets work.

@Annapolis35 sorry to hear of chemical/ AF arriving!! Let me know how us get on with fertility consultation.

@Jen05p how r u? Did u test? Sorry to hear how you’re feeling! It’s so hard when we actually look back at the journey and how long it’s been! We’re all so strong, it’s been a long hard journey for each of us but we will all get there in one way or another

pinkpirlie · 09/04/2023 11:22

Hey everyone

@ANP2020 so sorry you had a difficult conversation at work. People can be so insensitive and don't even consider that you're trying so so hard and stressfully for a sibling.
Sounds promising with the new drug - keeping everything crossed for you.

@Annapolis35 sorry to hear about chemical/AF arriving again. Hope you find a helpful fertility consultant to help you navigate this journey. Did you have a good holiday?

@Jen05p good luck with this cycle. Anything can happen! We were 2.5 years trying before this little one, it is so hard and stressful to keep going month after month and remember the 18 month point well (about when I joined this thread) and it felt like there was just no hope.

I'm now 16 weeks, still have a lot of nausea. I tried stopping the anti nausea meds and had a week with no sickness, assumed it was over. But oh no, came back with a vengeance so I'm taking them again. I look pregnant now, although none is the actual baby. I think baby growing means my organs and excessive levels of fat have been displaced outwards to make room 🤭
I'm still so so anxious that I'm going to miscarry, I can't wait to be able to feel movement and know they are kicking about in there, but assuming still a little too small. 3.5 weeks until 20 weeks scan, I'm counting down the days! I am contemplating booking another private scan to quell some anxiety, but waiting to see if they scan me when I go for the quad test next Monday.

Hi ladies,
I haven't posted here for a while as I'd taken a step back from MN but I got my BFP this morning 😁 early days but so excited!

The millionth 2ww
Shaker21 · 10/04/2023 08:28

Hey girls,

Congratulations @NoodleQueen90 !!! Such good news.

Sorry to hear about chemical/AF showing @Annapolis35 have you managed to have a look into a fertility consultant yet?

I hope DTD on CD15 catches a late ovulation @ANP2020 I am hoping the metformin helps also 🤞🏻

Glad to hear everything is going good @pinkpirlie can't believe you're so far along now! Are you finding out what you're having?

How are you doing @Jen05p did you test?

I am nearly 8 weeks now, time feels like it's going so slow but everything seems OK, we had a scan at just over 6 weeks and everything was all good so eased my anxiety a lot. The nausea kicked in also which is the worst part!

Jen05p · 14/04/2023 12:04

Hi all sorry didn't reply sooner. It was a busy weekend/week potty training my little one. I tested a few days ago and it was negative so just waiting for my period. Sadly it mean 3 cycles of letrozole and trigger failed. I spoke to my fertility Dr and we looked at the next options. I think we are not ready for IVF just yet and I'd like to try for longer before we get to that stage. So we discussed going for another 3 cycles with the same process i.e. trigger and then progesterone. If not ..then we may move onto IUI. It has been quite difficult to process that it didn't happen for us but I feel positive that we can have another 3 cycles and hope for the best .

Hope all of you are okay. @ANP2020 hope DTD on day 15 will be the one!! How many dpo are you?

@Annapolis35 sorry to hear that your AF arrived and of CP. Must be devastating but I hope it will happen for you very very soon. Did you find a fertility consultant? I think it is a very good step to take as you can just feel that something is happening and the checks altho may be uncomfortable...it will provide some answers hopefully. Or even if there is nothing wrong...it will put you at ease.

Annapolis35 · 14/04/2023 16:58

Hey all
also sorry for not responding earlier. I had a lovely holiday thanks. @Jen05p Sorry to hear of the negative but sounds like you’ve got a plan in place with your doctor.

We have taken the first steps and booked in appointments for bloods for me, ultrasound and sperm analysis and then a consultation within the next month. I’m quite anxious about it, quite worried something is wrong but I suppose it’s better to know and have a plan for that rather than the unknown. We had to go private for it but think it’s worth the money.

how are you? @ANP2020

Hope the pregnancies continue to go well ladies!

pinkpirlie · 14/04/2023 18:29

@Annapolis35 I hope all the appointments give you some answers. It is so frustrating!
I think you are making the right call to go private, hopefully you'll get the support to help you conceive swiftly after such a long wait.

@Shaker21 don't put off getting anti nausea meds from the doctor. They have been a god-send! I am still taking them daily at 17 weeks.

I had a private scan yearday, baby is still looking healthy and growth is on target. Really helped ease my anxiety.

@Jen05p sorry you've had another negative cycle. I'm really hopeful you'll get your positive soon!!!

@ANP2020 hope all is well with you

Hugs and baby dust all around!!! 🥰

ANP2020 · 19/04/2023 16:07

Hey guys!

sorry for the delay we’ve had a lovely little holiday to Disneyland Paris! We’re all still exhausted! I was hoping the exhaustion meant something else but I’ve done a test this morning and bfn!! AF due in two days so think it’s fair to say I’m out! But to be fair was slim chances as only dtd once!

so feeling all refreshed and ready to tackle another month! The metformin I’ve managed to get up to maximum dose with minimal side effects so that’s good! So we’ll just wait and see!

@Annapolis35 good luck with your appointments! I think if I’ve not heard from NHS appt by when we get back from our next holiday I’ll look at just finding someone privately!

@Jen05p sorry to hear AF arrived again! Sounds like you’ve made a really sensible plan though! Hopefully just those extra few months will be all you need! Three cycles on the medication isn’t much really!

glad to hear everyone else is well! I’m going to go have a sneaky sofa nap 🤣🤣

Jen05p · 25/04/2023 11:01

Hi how is everyone doing? I went for a scan yesterday to check follicle and had a few but 1 dominant one at around 20mm (day 10) so had the trigger injection last night. My fertility consultant doesnt see any more advantages in doing an IUI if these 3 cycles dont work as I am ovulating regularly and no other known issues. He said the next step would be IVF. I dont think I am ready yet for that and explained I would like to try these 3 cycles and hopeful that I will conceive naturally but will consider it after these cycles depending on what happens!

Hope all is well, please let me know :)

Annapolis35 · 27/04/2023 08:46

Hey ladies. Sorry I’ve been trying to switch off a bit from ttc so have been awol!

@Jen05p I am very glad there are no known problems with fertility and it’s just a matter of keeping trying and eventually it will happen. I guess you are in 2ww now? Ivf is quite a daunting thought so I totally get that.

@ANP2020 i hope you had a lovely holiday and are feeling ok? I hope AF didn’t arrive? How are you doing otherwise?

We had our tests done at the hospital yesterday, just a blood test for me and sperm analysis for husband, we have an appointment with consultant in a couple of weeks so will know where we stand. I feel ok about it. I’ve been sooo busy with work recently so a bit distracted by that. I’m currently in the 2ww - somewhere about 4-6dpo so will see how it goes. I’m feeling quite progesterone-y and a bit uch, but that’s quite normal for this time of the cycle.

hope everyone else is doing well!

Annapolis35 · 03/05/2023 11:21

Hey all just thought I’d update. My AF is due tomorrow and it feels like it’s coming. I’ve been feeling really low this week about it all, just crying a lot and it doesn’t feel like it’s gonna happen for us now. It’s been over a year now since I miscarried and absolutely nothing. Just in a bit of a funk now. I should have had a baby by now and I just feel so sad

Shaker21 · 03/05/2023 15:48

Hey @Annapolis35 I am sorry you are feeling so low, I can totally imagine how frustrating it must be now it has been that long since your miscarriage. When is your appointment with the consultant for the results of your tests? Have they said what the steps would be after the results at all or if there is any other tests they can do? x
