Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining but this thread seems like an amazing thread full of supportive women. I'm on my 7th cycle TTC my first. I had a chemical cycle 2 and feel so disheartened each month that goes on from then. My cycles have shortened to 26 days and I ovulated CD12 this month (positive OPK CD11) I'm 4dpo and praying for a good results.

I have a distinct lack of EWCM each month should I be worried about this?

Shaker21 · 24/02/2023 13:46

Hi @Strawb28 Welcome :) Sorry to hear about your chemical, there is some really great group on here and is really nice to have people who understand to vent to and just keep updated where we all are in our journeys. It can feel really lonely sometimes. I know I have heard of people trying evening primrose oil I think to increase EWCM so that may be worth a google to see what that says about it. Have you tried maybe preseed around fertile window to help?

pinkpirlie · 24/02/2023 14:02

@Strawb28 welcome to the group.
It took me 2.5 years and probably 2, definitely 1nchemical to finally conceive #1. Currently 10 weeks.
These lovely ladies have kept me upbeat for a lot of that time and have been wonderful companions in this really tough and emotional journey.

I too have very little EWCM but got there in the end. I tried with and without conception lube. The months we caught I didn't use it.

Strawb28 · 24/02/2023 14:07

@Shaker21 I will definitely research this for next cycle if this one doesn't go well! It definitely can be a lonely time and as others have mentioned hard seeing it happen so easily for others. I do completely understand its early days just disheartening after the CP!
Will definitely keep everyone up to date here. 4dpo :)

NoodleQueen90 · 24/02/2023 14:45

Hey guys,
Can I join please?
I'm 32 and TTC#1 😊 cycle 2 of trying and positive OPK today so a busy weekend of DTD coming up and then on to the tww.
I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up but just can't help myself sometimes!

Annapolis35 · 24/02/2023 16:21

Hey all sorry just catching up. Welcome to all new people!

@Strawb28 I have read drinking more water helps with ewcm? I don’t really know, I think mine is more creamy some days but defo slippery.

@NoodleQueen90 good luck on dtd over fertile time!

@pinkpirlie i am happy to hear you are 10 weeks now and all going well other than the nausea, hope you managed to get some medication for it. I did think about a blood panel so that’s a possibility.

my procedure went okay the other day, am a bit sore now as to be expected and bleeding with weird discharge. I’ve learnt they’ve now taken about half my cervix. But I’m glad that’s over and just waiting to see if all clear and the bad cells have all been removed. So no dtd for a month now to let my body recover and heal and will see where we are next month. I guess I need to get the ball rolling on private fertility consultations quite soon.

Strawb28 · 24/02/2023 19:48

Oh @pinkpirlie that is brilliant news. Gives me so much hope. Thanks so much! I'm delighted for you. Such a blessing!

@Annapolis35 that could be were I'm going wrong!! I drink very little water. Must try and improve to see if it helps. I definitely get slippery and wet (sorry TMI) just not EWCM

@NoodleQueen90 good luck with the fertile window. I feel this was my best fertile window yet 🤞🤞

Annapolis35 · 24/02/2023 21:41

@Strawb28 I think slippery and wet sounds fine! I honestly find it a bit tough to distinguish between them haha, I am pretty sure I get ewcm as sometimes it’s globby (sorry that isn’t a word but couldn’t figure out what to say!).

ANP2020 · 26/02/2023 21:17

Hey ladies !

welcome to all the newbies!!

im having a downer day today! I think I could’ve cried if I’d have allowed myself to think about it enough! But I’ve been working so kept me distracted!

so I don’t know why but I’d got it into my head February it would happen (despite all the gallbladder news!) I think the normal day 3 results then plus with that dream with my Nan I just really thought it would so I’m 10dpo today and I tested - BFN of course! But why did I test!? I’ve stopped early testing because of how sad I feel!

well then down the downward spiral I fell with all the whys it not happening! Why me! My boobs were a bit sore but that’s going off now? I feel like Af could arrive at any time but I’m not due on for a few days! I’ve lost that 2 stone so was just hoping it’d made me ovulate!

it’s so hard to pick up and think try again maybe next time! Sorry to be a downer but it’s felt tough today.

ive had loads more than normal yellow cm these past few days! I normally get a bit! My acupuncturist says it’s the mucus plug parts forming that’s why it goes yellow! So I thought an excess was hopeful but just another symptom I can say means nothing!

Strawb28 · 27/02/2023 08:45

@ANP2020 i am so sorry you've hit a downer. This process is so so hard especially the months we have ourselves convinced. I had 2 or 3 good months there were I was realistic and didn't think it had happened but here I am on 7DPO and I am convinced this cycle.. Its one way to get a major downer 😢 I really hope you just tested a little too early and you get your BFP this month ❤️

Annapolis35 · 27/02/2023 10:05

@ANP2020 so sorry you’re feeling down. It’s so crushing and I’ve had months like that too. Last month I was convinced too as also had a dream that the baby was implanting so was devastated when my period arrived. I also feel quite down too as it’s been a year since I last got pregnant and now it just feels sad and unlikely to happen again. Just gonna try and keep my chin up and be gentle on myself. Please do the same, it’s just so hard having the same result every month

ANP2020 · 28/02/2023 18:15

Hey guys!

thanks for your messages @Annapolis35 and @Strawb28 ❤️ AF is here in full flow on cycle day 25 so really early (deffo AF and not implantation as very heavy today!) I just don’t know what’s going on!

I'm feeling a bit more upbeat but this month was such a downer!! It’s just becoming really annoying and frustrating and still not knowing why and what is going on with my body!! I’m taking every supplement you can dream of! Eating as clean as I can and still nada! And some people dtd once in a cycle and bam BFP! I really could just pack it all in for a few months but I know then I’ll be a few months down the line and regret doing that!

I’ve ordered everything to give this month everything I can! Ovulation sticks etc and I’m temping too I’ve never managed it for a full month because I find it so difficult and forget to do it! And I’m going to order a progesterone blood test on day 21 so I hopefully can get a true picture! Jumped back on the diet after cheating yesterday with feeling sorry for myself! I just really am worried I’m going to be here another year down the line!! It’s making me nervous!

we need another BFP on here so hopefully someone gets one soon 🤞🤞trying to
go into the next cycle positive but I just can’t shake the grump! It’s just so hard to stay motivated with dtd and the healthy living when disappointment is always around the corner x

Strawb28 · 01/03/2023 10:41

@ANP2020 sorry to here AF arrived early. That happened me this past 2 months on CD 25 and CD26 last month. I found I ovulated earlier this month because of it. Got my peak on CD11 just incase it may be the same for you. I am 9dpo today. I have noticed some changes in my boobs they feel heavier and are swollen and nipples are bigger (Sorry TMI) this is all new for me as I never experience this before AF however they aren't painful at all just feel uncomfortable at times. Again could be just symptom spotting as usual!!

Annapolis35 · 07/03/2023 10:10

Hey @ANP2020 hope you’re doing ok now and onto another cycle! I started taking conceive plus vitamins and it seems to have shortened my cycles to 27/28 days, which is actually quite nice as sometimes they could go to 33 days. Or maybe my body is finally regulating after the miscarriage/stress of house sale! I definitely do feel happier, hopeful and more relaxed now.

I just got my AF too as expected, but I have been bleeding since I had the procedure so now into the thirdish week of bleeding. I am a bit fed up of wearing pads now! We will be trying again this month so will see how it all goes. We have a little holiday at the beginning of next month so lots to look forward to regardless of baby making. Hope everyone is doing ok?

@pinkpirlie you must be coming up to your 12 week scan now - good luck and let us know how it all goes.

@Shaker21 @Jen05p hope youre both alright with the letrozole.

ANP2020 · 07/03/2023 10:47

Hey,

yep I’m into a fresh cycle and I’m throwing everything at it! Temping and OPKs! I’m still not holding out much hope! Also wondering if I did ovulate earlier last month or it was another month where I didn’t ovulate again! So far I haven’t had a positive OPK and my BBT is up and down!! Cycle day 9 now so we’ll see if I ovulate early it’ll be in the next few days!

all I’m doing is trying to focus on the weightloss and getting another stone off! We go to Disney land Paris in April so trying to get another stone off before then.

@Strawb28 any news they sounded like positive signs!

@Annapolis35 so happy to hear the conceive plus has sorted out your cycles. I take them as well and they’re good!

sorry to hear your still bleeding following procedure wearing pads is awful! Hopefully it’ll not be for much longer! Sounds like you’ve got some lovely things planned!!

so yesterday I went out for breakfast with my friends who both have newborns! Wow it was tough but I’m glad I did it! Really weird to think I was hoping I’d share their Mat leave with them and no such luck! Felt a bit down afterwards but soon picked up! The time I feel the most down is when AF comes though nothing feels worse! X

Annapolis35 · 07/03/2023 12:20

@ANP2020 well sounds like you’re doing all the right things and trying everything. I’m quite excited to get “back into the saddle” haha but I am sure come 2ww I’ll be all anxious again - thankfully we are going away during it. Paris in April sounds lovely!! So many nice things to look forward to as well and good job on continued weight loss, it’s hard.

It’s so hard seeing friends with babies, I really struggle with it too and that’s totally normal. I have an Apple Watch now that does wrist temp to show ovulation and mine is up and down too. I think it guesses ovulation day within a day or two of accuracy but I don’t use opks to confirm. Mine definitely shows a shift so know I’m ovulating. I know what my fertile week is generally so we will just aim to dtd through that I think. I find the wrist temp makes me feel quite anxious through the 2 weeks.

Jen05p · 08/03/2023 10:44

Hi all,

@Annapolis35 thanks for reaching out. Glad to hear you are well and will be back on the TTC train soon! That must have been hard bleeding for 3 weeks...so I hope this comes to an end soon. You have some lovely things planned so hope this makes it easier.

@ANP2020 I know the feeling of being around friends who have newborns...it is so hard and feels like we have to just suck it up and enjoy the moment but in some conversations just feel like there is a lump in my throat! Its hard as we are so happy for our friends but it just makes the reality of our situation come to light and then you end up overthinking everything all over again.

Glad we have this thread to share our thoughts and feelings.

I am okay just finished days 2-7 of letrozole at 5mg again and then had the trigger shot on Friday day 9 of my cycle. They saw a big follicle on my left which was already about 21cm so decided to do the shot that evening. Its a been a bit hard trying to DTD this week as my little one keeps waking up/had people over the weekend etc. I think we managed once a day so fingers crossed! I also have been taking the cyclogest since 2 days after trigger. It is day 14 of my cycle so soon approaching TWW. I am feeling a little bit more calm since last month. It really got me when I got the BFN and my period arrived and the 1st cycle failed. Was just devasted so this month I am trying to take it more easy and not feel as stressed but come the 2 week wait I feel the anxiousness/symptom spotting will return.

@Shaker21 how are you getting on? hope all is well x

ANP2020 · 10/03/2023 05:49

hey,

im up as I can’t sleep! Got told last night from one of my closest friends that she’s pregnant! Hadn’t been trying it’s just happened! What a clanger! I cried and cried and cried! Not to them obviously! I did the whole congrats I’m so happy for you! Then felt guilty that someone else’s happy made me so sad!!

here I am rattling with vitamins! Eating clean and trying to eat the right foods for fertility and temping and weeing on sticks for months and nothing! One night and all done for others! It’s so unfair! I actually felt really lonely last night! It’s such a lonely journey!

@Jen05p 🤞🤞 for you will they do your bloods again to check? Glad to hear you’re taking it easier! It’s easier said than done but trying not to pin your hopes on the 2WW definitely helps! I yet haven’t managed that 🤣🤣

@Annapolis35 where are you going away? I’d heard about the Apple Watch on the advert! Might try it! Remembering to temp each day is tough! Plus I’m struggling as I wake up at different times everyday for a wee overnight! Earliest has been 4:30 and it’s always lower then! Then if I make it to 7 it’s always higher! Next month might have to set my alarm for 4:30 and always do it then

Annapolis35 · 10/03/2023 08:35

Awww I’m so sorry @ANP2020 it really sucks. I hate that feeling so much. But it’s totally valid to feel the way you do. I’m starting to think the best way for us to be more relaxed about it all and not time dtd anymore, but maybe from next month we will do that? And just stop “trying” officially. I can’t bring myself to do that this month though as it takes a massive mental shift!!

We are going to Skye so not abroad but really looking forward to it. The weather might go either way but as long as we are prepared. We both like walking, nature and hills so it’s perfect for us (good thing we live in Scotland!) and may take a ferry to Harris if the weather is good and stay a bit longer.

Shaker21 · 12/03/2023 15:59

Hey girls....sorry I haven't messaged in a while.

I am 11DPO today, AF due Tuesday or Wednesday but expecting her to show as I feel no different this month. I had my day 21 bloods done Tuesday from being upped to 7.5mg this month and got the results Thursday that my progesterone was 34.9 nmol/L so way better than previous cycles and fertility consultant was happy with that so I am sticking on the 7.5mg for next cycle. I also am now booking in my HSG for week after next too so fingers crossed that all comes back OK and then is just a matter of time on the 7.5mg 🤞🏻

How are you all doing?

How is the OPKs and temping going @ANP2020 ?

They sounded positive signs @Strawb28 how are you doing?

Has the bleeding stopped from your procedure now @Annapolis35 and where are you at in your cycle at the moment?

What DPO are you on now @Jen05p ? How are you feeling? Any different?

X

pinkpirlie · 12/03/2023 20:08

Hey everyone,

Sorry that everyone is struggling with different things associated with the stresses of TTC. I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and hoping that you will get your positive results soon. It is so hard month after month and I really couldn't have got through the TTC process without all your support, so I'm glad we are still all here for each other.

@Annapolis35 yes, I'm 12 weeks now. Have my dating scan on Tuesday. I had a private scan at 10 weeks and baby was bang on dates I expected so will be interested to see what they say Tuesday.
I think everything is going okay as I think I'm starting to expand a bit, although it isn't that obvious under the layers of fat 🤣.
I'm feeling anxious nevertheless.

Jen05p · 13/03/2023 07:46

@Shaker21 hey! Hope all is well. Thanks for reaching out. I took the trigger injection a week ago so should be around 8dpo now. I don't feel any differently than last month. I always get an odd throb in my foot just after ovulation and it lasts all the way on and off until my period and same with my upper back. It's weirdly just on the left side but had it for years and always means my period is on its way. So my foot is getting worse each day and so I don't think it's going to be a positive one.

Do you test or wait for period to come?

Jen05p · 13/03/2023 07:47

@Shaker21 sorry was supposed to say. I hope it all goes well for you this cycle...fingers crossed. Xxx

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 06:52

Morning girls :)

So I had a temperature rise yesterday morning which is 12DPO which normally my bbt would be on the decline by this point ready for AF to arrive on 14DPO. So I decided to take an easy at home test and got a faint line. I was freaking out all day yesterday and had to wait all day at work until I could get a FRER on my way home to take that. I got a much darker line on the FRER yesterday late afternoon and decided to try the digital :)

It hasn't quite sunk in at all yet......clearly the 7.5mg Letrozole was all that was needed and no need for the HSG next cycle! Lol!

Congratulations @Shaker21!! what lovely news and so happy for you. How are you feeling? I hope you don’t mind me asking, how often did you dtd?
