Ah, I have absolutely everything crossed for you @Downtherabbithole83.

Some happy news here to report. I can’t remember how much I put on this thread, but I was having a difficult pregnancy with awful heavy bleeding through much of the second trimester - constantly convinced I was going to lose another one. Ended up admitted to hospital later on, as waters went early but we made it to 37 weeks and had a beautiful baby girl a couple of weeks ago. She is lovely.

Downtherabbithole83 · 14/07/2024 10:46

Oh congratulations @Dinosaurus86. Love seeing happy outcomes on here! ❤️

@Downtherabbithole83 Thrilled to read this! Everything crossed for you! 💗

@Dinosaurus86 Ahhh congratulations!! Hope you are keeping well! 🥰

Gingerk1tty · 14/07/2024 13:46

Tentative congratulations @Downtherabbithole83. Really hope this one sticks for you! As has already been said by others, this thread has been such a comfort during my darkest hours and I truly hope this is your time.

Also congrats to @Dinosaurus86 - lovely news!

I am now 26 weeks and expecting a little girl this time. The hospital have been fantastic and booked me for extra scans at 28 and 36 weeks.

Wishing all of those still trying and starting out their journeys after TFMR all the luck and strength.

Thornberry1 · 15/07/2024 09:07

@Downtherabbithole83 Amazing news! So so pleased for you - and remember this is how all successful pregnancies and healthy babies start 💙💛💜

@Dinosaurus86 Congratulations on your baby girl 💖such lovely news!

I'm nearly 35 weeks now and my head's in a bit of a spin! Hoping I finally feel some respite once my little rainbow is here x

samilicious · 15/07/2024 09:19

@Downtherabbithole83 I'm currently 6w3d after a TFMR in Jan 2022 so totally here for you for the next few weeks ahead 🥰 not too far apart. What are your next steps with NIPT etc or are you waiting a bit longer before telling anyone medical?

Pickled24 · 15/07/2024 14:42

@samilicious @Downtherabbithole83 me too! I am 7 weeks today with my first scan with fetal medicine next week and then every 4 weeks after that - my sickness has hit horrific again so getting medication later from the docs but scared to even take it but I can’t really eat or drink but also very very grateful to be here! How are you @samilicious

huge congrats @Dinosaurus86 ❤️

Mummysparrow · 15/07/2024 14:56

Hi, can I join? I had a TFMR for severe CDH, single umbilical artery and potentially T21 (awaiting genetics test to confirm) on 23rd May. It was my second pregnancy and although I had a few small issues with my first pregnancy (like excessive amounts of amniotic fluid), it was smooth sailing so having this diagnosis and having a TFMR at 14 weeks knocked me sideways. I am 7 weeks post TFMR and had my period last week so looking to trying again this cycle

Downtherabbithole83 · 15/07/2024 21:00

@Mummysparrow welcome to our little community - so sorry that you find yourself here but know that this is a totally safe space full of people who have been through similar (I was also 14 weeks when I had my tfmr in Nov 2022 after a T21 diagnosis).

So lovely to hear of so many pregnancies - @Thornberry1 and @Gingerk1tty I hope you’re both doing okay. How have you found being pregnant this time?

@samilicious and @Pickled24 excited for you in these early stages! Hope the anxiety around it all isn’t too bad - I miss how blissfully naive I used to be!

Update for you all: not had a line like this with any of my chemicals so starting to think this might be my opportunity for a rainbow… though obviously now I’m transferring from being worried about it not progressing to being worried about possibly having high hcg and another T21 pregnancy 🤦‍♀️ I guess it’s going to be like this for a while if I’m lucky enough for
this one to stick!

@Mummysparrow sorry that you find yourself here as well. I also had a single umbilical artery.

Hope you are looking after yourself in these early stages ❤️

Gingerk1tty · 15/07/2024 21:32

@Downtherabbithole83 thank you. It has certainly been a lot more nerve wracking this time around and I only really started to feel confident after the 20 week scan and once I started feeling consistent movement. I too was questioning everything in the early days and googled things far too much!

I had an early scan 7ish weeks and again at 10 weeks which I found very reassuring.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Keep reminding yourself the likelihood of the same issue happening twice is very low.

samilicious · 15/07/2024 21:55

@Downtherabbithole83 love to see those strong lines! I hope time passes quickly for you until you can get some answers

Dinosaurus86 · 15/07/2024 22:52

That’s a good line @Downtherabbithole83!

jt130593 · 16/07/2024 10:52

Calling all OPK experts again!

I switched to the easy at home strips, if I carried on with the clear blue I’d have probably needed to remortgage my house.

Actually quite liked using these ones and felt like it helped us to time things a bit better.

I got a peak on cycle day 12, and then after that they were getting steadily lighter. However, this morning on cycle day 15 it’s gone slightly darker again at around 2 DPO?

I only started using the premom app to take photos of my strips from peak day so don’t have all the values. But this is what I have so far -
Cycle day 12 at 2pm - peak at 1.31
Cycle day 12 at 8pm - high at 0.96
Cycle day 13 at 8am - low at 0.61
Cycle day 13 at 7pm - low at 0.33
Cycle day 14 at 8am - low at 0.3
Cycle day 14 at 7pm - low at 0.21
Cycle day 15 at 8am - low at 0.39

Just wondering why it may have risen slightly? I’ll continue to test to see what happens over the next few days

Thanks!

Don't worry, my numbers can go a bit up and down afterwards but generally no high than 0.4. Not sure why it happens but hormones are a mystery to me. That's a good peak you go there so no doubt you ovulated day 13 after your peak

jt130593 · 16/07/2024 14:22

@Mummysparrow thank you! That’s reassuring to know, everything I’d read said after ovulation they’d return back down to baseline. But I suppose it makes sense that they would fluctuate throughout the month rather than just stay static!

Reassuring to know it looked like a good peak, I have absolutely no idea about those values what’s good or what’s not! Wish they taught this in school 😂

Mummysparrow · 16/07/2024 14:32

@jt130593 no worries. If I was you I wouldn't even bother testing now and save the tests in case you need them next month. If it makes you feel better when I got pregnant in February I didn't even see the peak over 1. As soon as I get over 0.7 I know I will be ovulating the next day as my numbers don't go high after that point. You can see I went a bit noctilucent about testing after that point 🤣

jt130593 · 16/07/2024 20:21

@Mummysparrow oh that’s interesting! I wish I’d started these ones sooner instead of the clear blue they tell you so much more about what’s going on don’t they rather than just getting a surprise smiley one day!

Downtherabbithole83 · 16/07/2024 21:06

@jt130593 I’ve been using those opks for about 18 months and have often found there is the odd higher reading - my peak starts and climbs quickly and consistently before dropping in the same way so I know that any random ones which don’t get too high can be ignored.

After you’ve used them for a while you’ll probably notice your own pattern.
