Anyone else on here in the same situation? Would be nice to chat to others who understand.

How’s everyone doing?

just an update from me: blood test put hcg at 41 last Thursday so, as expected, very low. Bleeding stopped at the weekend so around the length of a normal period. However, I’m still getting pretty clear positives on pregnancy tests and they aren’t really fading much, if at all. It’s now two weeks since I started bleeding. I have repeat bloods tomorrow and have everything crossed that the hcg level is significantly lower - it should really be below 10 by now but I wouldn’t have thought it would give clear positives at that level…

@Downtherabbithole83 What a week.. hope you're ok. Hopefully it drops and your cycles get back to normal really soon. That's strange about the positives though - will they offer a scan if it hasn't dropped? I always find it so frustrating that I can't see what's going on.

I was due to start clomid this week but still no AF (have to wait til day 2 of next cycle) - currently on day 43 of this cycle and no sign. I've booked acupuncture for this afternoon. Never had it before but thought it was worth a shot! Anyone else ever tried it? I'll report back..

Dinosaurus86 · 09/11/2023 09:24

I’m sorry @Downtherabbithole83 that’s so so difficult and frustrating. I hope your bloods later today are better.

@Thornberry1 I’ve had acupuncture! I had it for a while at a big practice which I don’t feel did much. Then I swapped to a lady who just did it from her house - and she also did this heated moxibustion (sp?) thing, which I did feel was having some kind of impact.

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 09/11/2023 12:19

@Downtherabbithole83 how frustrating and confusing. I feel for you and hope you are as ok as you can be in such a situation

Downtherabbithole83 · 09/11/2023 21:55

Thanks all - I’m fine in myself and am just annoyed because we want to get on with trying again! Hopefully it’ll be lower tomorrow though still had a nice clear positive this morning 🤦‍♀️

@Thornberry1 I’ve never had acupuncture but I’ve seen it mentioned on other threads on here. Hope AF arrives soon for you!

Downtherabbithole83 · 11/11/2023 16:39

So randomly I’ve started to bleed again today - only very light but definite bleeding. Hopefully this will reset everything 🤞

OP posts:
Thornberry1 · 11/11/2023 17:00

@Downtherabbithole83 hopefully that’s the reset your body needs 🙏🏼 hope you’re feeling ok, lots of hormone changes at play as well the emotional side of it!

Still no AF for me.. day 45 now. It’s so frustrating. I should be on day 10 of my next cycle and trying with clomid by now. Gah. Also think I’m getting a cold sore which I’ve never had in my life.. but read that people can get them before their period so maybeee it’s a good sign - or just stress ha.

Feel like we all need to catch a break! Come on 2024 - give us some good ❤️

Downtherabbithole83 · 11/11/2023 17:24

Bodies are such weird things - this bleed has totally confused my app 😂

Hope AF arrives for you soon…

EMcG3 · 11/11/2023 18:17

Cheering you both on from the sidelines. May you both catch a break and have 2024 wee ones.

MilkyAndFluffy · 13/11/2023 23:41

@Dinosaurus86 thank you for your experience with the hysteroscopy. I’m so sorry it was traumatic for you, but I’m glad it paid off and you fell pregnant the month after!! Can understand your worries of it growing back, and I have my fingers crossed it doesn’t and you fall pregnant asap. Any luck this month with testing? Any signs of anything as of yet? Sorry I’m abit late to replying to you so you will be out your TWW by now!

@Downtherabbithole83 how frustrating you are still getting clear positives after 2 weeks. The second bleed is annoying but hopefully like you say, it’s your body resetting itself and getting rid of any bits and bobs left it there that could be causing the positive tests. Have you had any luck with fading on the tests yet? How were your second lots of bloods, has hcg reduced? Hope your bleeding is coming to an end and you can start to track a new cycle. I understand it’s difficult when all you want to do is try again!!!

@Thornberry1 any luck with your next cycle starting? Feel for you as I know you’ll be keen to get going with Clomid this month - such a long cycle for you

sending everyone baby dust and hopeful for 2024 babies for everyone 🥰

MilkyAndFluffy · 13/11/2023 23:42

@Downtherabbithole83 can imagine your app is like urm whaaat! Can I be cheeky and ask what app you do use for tracking? Are you going to do ovulation tests or temping this cycle to work out what’s going on? X

Dinosaurus86 · 14/11/2023 13:46

Thanks @MilkyAndFluffy - how are you feeling? I held out for a bit but did in fact get a bfp on Sunday. Holding our breath now…

MilkyAndFluffy · 14/11/2023 14:02

@Dinosaurus86 im feeling impatient and annoyed it’s been 3 months and my body still isn’t back in a rhythm, it’s CD 14 for me today and still have faint ovulation tests, last month it didn’t come around till CD 19 so think I was just hoping it was gonna start coming down but never mind! Hopefully my scan on Friday shows nothing left in the my womb 🙏and then it’s a waiting game for my cycles to get back into some normal. I’m still going to TTC this month just in case!

argh BFP I’m sooooo happy for you 😍that’s incredible news. I know what you mean about holding your breath, but one step closer for now ❤️ sending you so much baby dust for a healthy happy pregnancy - are you going to get in touch about an early scan / extra appointments to help you through? Congrats lovely 🤞🏼

Thornberry1 · 14/11/2023 14:42

@MilkyAndFluffy it's so frustrating but your body will get there, took me ages to make peace with the fact that I can't rush it! Always worth a TTC try though 😊

@Dinosaurus86 got everything crossed for you. The chances of things going right are much higher than the chances of things going wrong ❤

Finally got my AF! Just 47 days later... Started my first course of clomid (a day early by mistake but hoping it still works ok!) Going in for a scan Monday to see if I'll be ovulating this month..

Separately the acupuncturist I saw specialises in fertility and had a few recommendations but the main supplement he recommended for egg and sperm quality was CoQ10 - 600mg for women a day, and 1000mg (1g) for men.

He also said to keep your feet warm as this helps blood flow in your uterus... haha, can't hurt to wear slippers can it.

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 14/11/2023 14:48

@Thornberry1 im glad AF has arrived. Mine was 36 days and I have never had a cycle longer than 25 days before. It is so stressful.

MilkyAndFluffy · 14/11/2023 15:11

@Thornberry1 you are right I need to do the same and make peace with the fact that it’s a longggg process!

happy to hear your giant cycle finally came to an end and you can get started. Fingers crossed your appointment shows you are ovulating 🤞🏼 do you TTC as ‘normal’ once that’s confirmed or is there another process? Sorry normal is the wrong word but I can’t think of another way to put it!

warm feet tip made me laugh!! Anything is worth a try

Downtherabbithole83 · 14/11/2023 21:53

Hi @MilkyAndFluffy ,

I use the Premom app with easy@home tests (because the app is free and the tests are cheap!) It - and my body apparently - are totally confused this month. I’ve included pics of a normal cycle for me and what I’m currently getting on my ovulation tests… it’s all very odd!

The hcg tests still show a line but it’s a lot fainter than it was. I’m surprised by how long it’s taking to disappear completely!

OP posts:
Downtherabbithole83 · 14/11/2023 21:53

@Thornberry1 glad AF finally arrived - you must be relieved to be able to get on with the next stage.

Ooooooooh @Dinosaurus86 that’s exciting. Keep us updated!

OP posts:
Downtherabbithole83 · 14/11/2023 21:56

Sorry @MilkyAndFluffy , forgot to attach the pics… try again!

I think it’s pretty obvious which is the normal cycle 🤦‍♀️

Hi @MilkyAndFluffy - hope your scan is clear today. I’ve always gone ahead with ttc during testing unless it’s truly truly forbidden (medication etc)! @Thornberry1 am hoping the clomid works for you!

How are you getting on @Downtherabbithole83? So frustrating feeling you can’t move forwards.

And thanks all for the well wishes. Still only just about 5wks so keeping everything crossed. I’ve already been in touch with the hospital and we have an appointment with a geneticist next week to discuss testing etc.

Downtherabbithole83 · 17/11/2023 22:15

Much better here thanks - finally got a negative test today just over three weeks after miscarriage started! Glad to finally be moving forward anyway.

Glad you’re doing okay and giving us all some home too ❤️

MilkyAndFluffy · 17/11/2023 22:44

@Downtherabbithole83 thank you for sharing your 2 cycles, one defo looks crazier than the other!! Isn’t it weird how different are bodies are after any length of pregnancy? I feel for you taking 3 weeks to show a negative - I bet you are weirdly ‘happy’ it’s finally happened so you can get going with TTC. How are you doing emotionally? I really hope you are ok lovely. Did your ovulation tests start to fade or are they still high - from the cycle you sent they stayed pretty high but hopeful you are on your wait for AF if I’ve got that right?

@Dinosaurus86 thanks for checking in ❤️ I’m soo thrilled with todays scan results. She said my womb and both ovaries looked ‘gorgeous’ haha which I never thought I’d be so happy to hear someone tell me I have a gorgeous womb but I was honestly relieved after a long 3 months! She said she could see my right ovary was about to release an egg so ovulation would happen anytime now, which confirmed the fact I got a positive ovulation test last night on day 16 so I’m hopeful I’m ovulating tonight/tomorrow. Still a little later than my old cycles (day 14 ovulation) but do you think it’s still possible for me to conceive with later ovulation? Just worried that my period will still probably come on day 28/29 meaning I only have a 10/11 day luteal phase… any ideas if thats classed as short or could cause any conception problems? We’ve baby danced 3/4 days ago, yesterday, Today and we will try tomorrow but I defo think I’m asking the other half for too much performing 3 days in a row so unsure if he will be able to provide the goods (so sorry to be vulgar but I think we are all friends here and tmi isn’t a thing on mumsnet - well not to me 😂).. either way, hopeful we are in with a good a chance as anyone for this month 😊

so happy to hear you are doing well, and glad you have an appointment so early days (Meaning at 6 weeks) to chat about things, hopefully that’ll keep your mind focused (wishful thinking). Please keep us posted and let us know how your app goes. Have you got any symptoms yet?? X

Quokka7 · 19/11/2023 12:14

I just wanted to send a little update from me. Our baby boy was born 11 days ago and is perfect. I had a tfmr at 15 weeks in June 22, followed by a mmc at 10 weeks in November last year. I fell pregnant again in February and cant believe we finally got here. We started ttc in August 2020, so its been a long road. I had short luteal phases and spotting from 6 dpo. Looking back, I tested positive at 11dpo with this pregnancy. I just wanted to give a bit of hope and send lots of love to anyone who has had to experience the heartbreak of a tfmr. Thank you for @Downtherabbithole83 for starting this thread. Its been such a support for me xx

Downtherabbithole83 · 19/11/2023 12:40

Massive congratulations @Quokka7! I remember you being on here back in the early days of this thread. I’m so excited and pleased to see the first baby born of our little group.

Hope you and baby are doing well xx
