Anyone else on here in the same situation? Would be nice to chat to others who understand.

@NSx To be completely honest with you no I'm not and I don't know if I will at any point. I've been pregnant for 10 out of the last 15months but have no baby to show for it. Luckily (or unluckily) I have got pregnant the first month we have tried each time so for me it's not been a case of will I get pregnant or not it's been a case of how long will this pregnancy last. I feel I have been collecting different ways for a pregnancy to end since last Sept (TFMR, CP, MMC) and I've done so much worrying about different ways it might end.
This pregnancy was actually a surprise as we were trying to avoid until 2023 because all of our losses happened in 2022. I know it sounds stupid but that was my thinking.
Sorry that was such a brain dump 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

NSx · 15/02/2023 21:06

@HoneyPea your feelings are totally valid, I think anyone who has suffered a loss feels this way. For me I had the anxiety of would I get pregnant again as it seemed to take longer than the first time around, and then after getting pregnant is the worry of things going wrong.
I guess until you have that baby in your arms you won’t be able to relax 🤍 I’m sending you lots of baby dust for a healthy and sticky bean ✨

HoneyPea · 15/02/2023 21:14

@NSx Thank you, I think I might feel a little bit more relaxed depending on the outcome of the 12wk scan and NIPT.
Will you get the NIPT on the NHS?

NSx · 15/02/2023 21:16

@HoneyPea yes I’m sure I was told something about NIPT or harmony test can’t remember exactly but I’ll be having testing done as my girl was t13 so they will check for anything like that again.
yea the 12 week scan will reveal all and hopefully put ur mind at ease xx

Thefrogwife · 15/02/2023 21:47

@HoneyPea Nothing to add except you're an absolute warrior; I hope you're getting the support you need to get through this. My anxiety levels are still pretty high even after a good 12 week scan and combined test result, you're incredibly strong to get through all that.

HoneyPea · 19/02/2023 19:43

@Thefrogwife Thank you, hoping the anxiety will go down just a smidge soon 🤞🏻
@NSx How are you doing?

HoneyPea · 19/02/2023 19:44

@Downtherabbithole83 How are you feeling about starting to try again?

Downtherabbithole83 · 19/02/2023 19:54

Hi @HoneyPea - hope you’re doing okay and not driving yourself too crazy waiting for the results.

I'm fine - AF is pretty much over today so time to start the opks and see how we go. I’m generally a naturally positive person (so much so that it can be annoying for others) so I’ve very much moved on and am looking forward rather than back.

Hi all, I last posted on here as it was my first month after medical termination and didn’t seem to be ovulating. I ended up ovulating on day 19 so it was quite late. I’m now on day 32 of my cycle and no period yet. I got excited and took an easy@home pregnant test but it’s negative. Anyone else had this?

NSx · 19/02/2023 20:39

@HoneyPea im ok, well Im loaded with the cold and haven’t left my house since Friday but apart from that im ok 😂😂😂 ..
how are u doing ?

Downtherabbithole83 · 19/02/2023 22:35

@Harrjenk the first few periods after tfmr seem like they can be a bit all over the place from what people have discussed on here and on other forums I am on. If you have ovulated late, then AF would be likely late too (this has been my experience).

HoneyPea · 21/02/2023 20:03

Hope your all ok? @NSx How is your cold?

Had a bit of a tough few days as I had some bleeding yesterday. Got sent to hospital and then asked to come back this morning. Luckily saw a happy little bean wriggling away today but they have no idea why I was bleeding. The gynecologist prescribed me progesterone and gave me the choice of if I wanted to take it or not (she said it won't do any harm but also there's no real evidence to say it will prevent any more bleeding) so I have no idea what to do about that! Why is trying to have a baby so complicated for some people 😕

NSx · 21/02/2023 21:21

@HoneyPea I’m feeling much better thanks for asking 🤍

ah that’s so scary, tbh it could be nothing, try not to worry. I would take the progesterone, just if nothing more but as a placebo, as long as it can’t harm anything?

HoneyPea · 22/02/2023 15:59

Had my NIPT results back today and we are low risk for all 3 trisomy's. Asked about progesterone and she alluded to taking it (without directly saying it!) so going to pop to the pharmacy to get it in a bit 😊
@NSx Glad your feeling better.

@Downtherabbithole83 I think it's lovely you can be so positive

NSx · 22/02/2023 16:29

@HoneyPea thats fabulous news, how many weeks are u? NIPT is what I’m dreading the most as this is when it all started going wrong for me last time with trisomy 13 😭😭😭, must be such a relief

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 22/02/2023 18:52

@HoneyPea really pleased to hear this! Wonderful news.

Harrjenk · 22/02/2023 19:00

@Downtherabbithole83 thank you!

Downtherabbithole83 · 22/02/2023 21:56

That’s great news @HoneyPea . So happy for you!

@Harrjenk how are you doing? Did AF arrive?

OP posts:
Harrjenk · 22/02/2023 21:57

@Downtherabbithole83 yes! Three days late. Really annoyed with myself for getting excited and then being disappointed. Onwards and upwards

Downtherabbithole83 · 22/02/2023 22:01

@Harrjenk Sorry to hear that but also pleased that you can get ready to ‘go again’. I’ve finished my third AF since tfmr and it would appear that this cycle is again going to be on the longer side for me as no rising LH yet - bodies are weird!

Hidingawaytoday · 22/02/2023 22:01

Great news, @HoneyPea!

I'm in my fertile period at the moment, but it seems we're taking a break from ttc this month as dh isn't feeling very well. Which sucks, but there you go. This is going to sound awful, but I feel so disappointed, even though it's really not his fault

Iusedtobedontcall · 22/02/2023 22:04

Hi all , I had a TFMR for Trisomy 21 at 12 weeks just last Friday. DH has agreed we can TTC again - though I know he’s scared the same thing will happen as I’m 42. I’m taking a month or so to recover and then trying again.

Lunamoon2022 · 23/02/2023 07:05

Being ill sucks even more than usual doesn't it! I swear each month now around my fertile time I've been under the weather. Currently have a horrible cold which is thankfully easing today. Now got the hope the husband doesn't get it ready for the weekend! I feel your pain @Hidingawaytoday. This is month 4 after tfmr now, month 3 of trying and my cycles are slowly getting shorter each time, so we shall see what this one brings...

Cmp990 · 28/02/2023 13:01

Has anyone else had issues with yoyoing cycles since tfmr. My first cycle (once it came back) was bang on average, I have been using clearblue digital ovulation tests (for my sins as they are so expensive!) and I got my high an peak right as my glow app predicted.. This month I thought it would be the same as I'm usually so regular but the first 2 days I got low and I'm now on my 5th day of 'high' fertility but no 'peak' yet which should have been yesterday :( I don't know if its coming and I'm just late or if its not coming at all? Urgh I hate all this so much :( what do people think from the photo? Are they getting darker? I can't even tell anymore! I don't know if the termination has anything to do with this? Did the deed yesterday morning but nothing else as have been waiting for the peak to appear. Running out of sticks too 😂

Anyone else TTC after TFMR?
Downtherabbithole83 · 28/02/2023 22:23

My peak in my second proper cycle after my tfmr was 3 days later than in my first cycle. My peak this cycle (my third) was one day before my second… I think it’s normal for cycles to fluctuate a bit it just is far more noticeable when you’re tracking.

Hope you get your peak soon!
