@monsteramunch how long have you been trying I can't remember? I haven't had much experience with tests etc but from reading forums I think doctors have their own set of rules on what steps they take 🙄 how long until you get your results?

mummatara · 08/12/2022 14:08

Still no AF here long may she stay away 😂 temps still up and if we believe the temping I'm 10dpo. My IC line was darker than yesterdays shadow. it was a line I could see easily but I don't think it's gone negative at any point so I think can't trust any pregnancy tests 😂 I did do a frer incase she doesn't show in a couple of days to see if it looks any different. I'm going to call EPU tomorrow as they said call again if still positive 2 weeks after that last blood test

I think they said semen analysis will be a week or so from the test and bloods a couple of weeks.

Been trying for a year but only doing OPKs and being strategic for six months.

I'm 35 and while I know it still happens for lots of people in their late 30s, it does add so much extra pressure.

Just have this horrible sense of dread that I'm hoping is fear rather than instinct.

MrsCristianoX · 08/12/2022 14:23

@TheBirdintheCave I have spilt my water so much in the morning DH has resorted to giving me a sports bottle to use...I think the final straw was soaking my iPad 😂 I'm really not a morning person..

mummatara · 08/12/2022 14:25

@monsteramunch gosh lovely no wonder your pulling your hair out! age def adds a lot of pressure to it 🙈 I hope that it is just fear for you or if they do find something that it's easily fixable 🤞🏼 have you had even a whisper of one taking or just nothing?

Nothing at all yet 😞

MrsCristianoX · 08/12/2022 15:28

@mummatara ohhhh how are you feeling?? Xx

@monsteramunch I hate this part between negative test and AF. I think it differs with everyone. Is clomid a medicated cycle with frequent scans? I've never looked into it before because I'm 5 years older and with my history they wouldn't recommend it. Although I have dispensed it so gps can write prescriptions for it. 🧐

mummatara · 08/12/2022 15:40

@MrsCristianoX I feel fine got absolutely zero symptoms of AF or pregnancy other than a little bit of cramping and I had the horrible cramping on Monday that was very painful I don't normally cramp with AF but I feel like all rules go out the window after MC 🤷🏼‍♀️ Im trying not to get hopeful but it's hard 🙈 I've done 3 IC one tues eve weds morn and this morning they are all different lines but after last time I don't trust them at all 😂

I think clomid makes you ovulate 🤔 my friend took it to ovulate when she had very irregular cycles and unexplained infertility

MrsCristianoX · 08/12/2022 15:52

@mummatara like darker lines? Yep I think it does but do they worry about hyper stimulation. I'm so out of my depth with fertility drugs.

mummatara · 08/12/2022 16:06

@MrsCristianoX yes darker. tues eve looked negative with maybe a shadow it did dry negative but could have been diluted. Weds morning FMU I had to really squint for 5 mins in the light to see it and it dried with a line. This mornings FMU I saw the line straight away no squinting into the light at all. My FRER this morning had a line but I wasn't shocked at that it was lighter than the ones a couple of weeks ago though. Yes well she had twins on it so it must be a slight concern I'm sure I watched a YT video ages ago she had quads with clomid and the doctors were not happy they wanted her to terminate 1/2 🙈

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 17:56

@mummatara One of my friends had twins on clomid too :)

mummatara · 09/12/2022 07:46

@TheBirdintheCave it must really whip out those eggs 🙈

I've spoken to the EPU this morning I really thought they would blood test me again but she's booked me in for a scan on Monday morning

TheBirdintheCave · 09/12/2022 08:45

No brown cm yesterday at all but I had a bit this morning that looked a little more fresh :( I've told my husband I don't want to do anything Christmassy anymore (we were meant to get a tree tomorrow for example) as I don't think I'd be able to handle it if everything goes wrong :(

bunnykins123 · 09/12/2022 09:42

@mummatara oh no! I'm sorry the tests are still showing positives. Do you know what cd you are? I saw your chart and it defo looked like you had O'd!

@TheBirdintheCave was it red? My guess is it's irritation/implantation. Remember what your brother told you, his partner spotted for 8 weeks (I think that's what you said!). Hold onto the positives for now: there was a beautiful babe measuring bang on with a heartbeat. Try and focus on that for now 💕

@monsteramunch I'm so sorry to read your update. I totally get the panic attacks every time you get AF. I'm the same, even if I know I'm not pregnant, it never makes it any easier. I think you mentioned clomid, it helps women with PCOS to ovulate earlier as they tend to have irregular cycles. My consultant said it doesn't help women if you ovulate (I asked the same thing!). I wanted it as I would love twins (after this journey I'll take allll the babies - give me triplets please!) I'm waiting for DHs spermies analysis (we did sperm frag so takes longer) to come back and then we are pressing the button on ivf. We discussed it last night and are going to give 3 cycles a shot and then give up if it doesn't happen. It fills me with SO much fear thinking about what's about to come on that journey but I have to try.

mummatara · 09/12/2022 10:03

@bunnykins123 I'm CD38 today and 11dpo if we believe the chart. this mornings IC doesn't look any darker so I don't think there's increasing hcg I think it's just still residual. I've got some more frer coming today so I'll do one in the morning and compare to yesterdays one I don't really know if I trust my IC after the fluctuating lines a couple of weeks ago 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'll probs go to this scan and there will be nothing and it will just be a case of waiting 🙄

I've read on a mn thread that soy isoflavanes work the same way as clomid. I would love multiples as hard work as it would be I would still love it 😍

TheBirdintheCave · 09/12/2022 11:16

@bunnykins123 No just a brighter shade of brown if that makes sense 🤔😂It's just so frightening. I've cancelled anything Christmassy here as I just can't pretend to be happy when I'm not. 11 days left til the next scan.

bunnykins123 · 09/12/2022 11:38

@mummatara good idea with the FRER, see it's it's any darker. It sounds like it may be residue but I wouldn't rule out a new pregnancy just yet. I think soy iso can mess up your cycles if you are already quite regular so just be careful of that if you're on the quest for multiples 😂

@TheBirdintheCave I know it's stressful, especially when you don't know the cause. Unless it's red, I would really try to not worry too much. Im sure the scan in 11 days time will be absolutely fine 🤞👏

mummatara · 09/12/2022 12:06

@bunnykins123 oh no after reading about it I wouldn't take them as I also heard it can mess up cycles if you're regular I def don't need anymore messing up 😂 I just happened to read a thread about it and how it can work the same as clomid. I would love multiples but nature gives you what nature gives you at this point if it gave me one I would be over the moon with that ❤️ yes I thought a second frer was probably more reliable than my IC 🙊 if it was a new one they wouldn't see anything on the ultrasound anyway was sort of hoping they would blood test again 😂 honestly it's a good job I have a lot to keep me occupied in the next few weeks so the time isn't dragging 🤦🏼‍♀️

monsteramunch · 09/12/2022 12:53

Thanks for sharing your feelings @bunnykins123 it's so nice to hear people understand. Feel like I'm staring into the abyss a bit today. Going between panic attack and numb. Really weird. Thank god my other half is so bloody lovely. And you lot! Flowers

bunnykins123 · 09/12/2022 20:57

DH results have come back this evening. Looks like he has high sperm fragmentation. Not entirely sure what this means or where this leaves us now but I guess it was to be expected after trying all this time and having no success ☹️

TheBirdintheCave · 09/12/2022 21:34

@bunnykins123 I'm sorry there's high fragmentation BUT I'm happy that you now have a better picture of what's going on at least. Any indication on what the next steps will be?

TheBirdintheCave · 09/12/2022 21:34

@bunnykins123 Oh sorry just saw that bit of your message 🤦🏻‍♀️

mummatara · 09/12/2022 22:07

@bunnykins123 oh so sorry lovely ❤️ big hugs that truly sucks. Will you have an appointment with the doctor to see what next steps would be?

calimc83 · 09/12/2022 22:10

@bunnykins123 so sorry to hear of your update. I don't know much/anything about sperm fragmentation but I have everything crossed for you 😘 do u have a follow up appointment to discuss the results? X

MrsCristianoX · 09/12/2022 22:47

@bunnykins123 I had to Google that there I had absolutely no idea what that meant. I'm so sorry lovely, hope DH is feeling ok xx
