Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@Dreamingof3 hoping that baby is on the way soon for you! Sending all the best luck

Looks like we are going to run out of TTCers soon 🥲 happy for everyone who has "graduates". Hope it's my turn soon when we restart trying

Houseelf90 · 16/03/2023 20:42

Thank you @LucyLoopyLu! I have everything crossed that you get your BFP soon, sending lots of baby dust to you x

DesertSnow · 16/03/2023 23:17

@Houseelf90 ah what a lovely photo! Congrats!

krissy12 · 17/03/2023 06:26

hi everyone just checking in I've been MIA the last few weeks. that's an amazing scan @Houseelf90 congratulations
we are back to dtd every 2/3days as I've no idea when I will ovulate after my mmc but tbh I'm not really feeling it anymore. obviously if I get a bfp i would be delighted but I don't have the same stress around it like I used to (for now anyway !) I think having the mmc has made me feel so grateful for what I already have that if I don't have a second then its ok if that makes sense

HeathenPlayingHouse · 17/03/2023 13:33

I'm so confused!

CD16 today and I've been testing OPKs since CD11. They don't seem to be getting dark enough to count as positive, so I could easily assume that I haven't ovulated yet. But I had like 3 days of EWCM on CD12-14, so we made sure to BD on CD12, 14 and 15.

I haven't had any of the usual symptoms, like cramping and back pain, so I'm fairly sure it hasn't happened yet. But then why the EWCM? I know that with PCOS, you can get random patches, but that's never been the case with me.

Does it sound like the egg geared up to drop, then just... didn't?

LucyLoopyLu · 17/03/2023 22:08

@HeathenPlayingHouse hi, yes maybe you didn't actually ovulate this time, have you been stressed / ill etc? Maybe you will gear up again for ov in next couple of days!

@krissy12 glad you are feeling less stressed about it all, but sorry you are in this position. I've been trying to do the same and count my blessings. I am now telling myself if I can't have children I will be OK, I will just have to focus on other things in my life. I'm generally OK with this reasoning until I start comparing myself to everyone else, haha.

PinkButtercups · 18/03/2023 20:01

@DesertSnow due date tomorrow! 😬 exciting!

LucyLoopyLu · 19/03/2023 19:43

Bloody hell. Don't know about everyone else but mother's day has been a depressing minefield on social media today. About a hundred pictures of my friends and peers with their babies.
I've had 2 glasses of wine and eaten a huge amount of food to compensate.

Welshgal85 · 19/03/2023 20:39

Same @LucyLoopyLu I’ve really struggled today 😢 had a few teary moments.
Watching Bake off with a large red and some chocolate!

LucyLoopyLu · 19/03/2023 21:46

@Welshgal85 sorry you've struggled with it too but glad I'm not the only one.
I think I will try and stay off social media next mothers day!

Mumof1hopingfor2nd · 19/03/2023 23:57

Urgh so we have Bd'd pretty much every day since period stopped hard work i tell ya lol but made sure to hit every day when my app said I should ovulate although I didn't get a positive on ovulation sticks.

I kept doing ovulation sticks even though my apps say I should be 3dpo on CD 19 and today I get positive OPK so we BD tonight will do tomorrow am and pm and then Tues afternoon should cover it right?
Is this late ovulation a problem? My cycles are slightly variable so anything from 28-32 days is possible for me!
I read something about a luteal phase of less than 10days can make pregnancy difficult and miscarriage more likely I had a miscarriage in November anyone else ovulate CD19 on a 28-32day cycle? X

BethSuz27 · 20/03/2023 04:25

@Mumof1hopingfor2nd I have literally had the same thing this month! My usual 30 day cycle I tend to ovulate around CD15-17, but this month is CD20! I’m 6dpo at the moment

Mumof1hopingfor2nd · 20/03/2023 08:23

@BethSuz27 Im so pleased im not the only one. I've not been tracking ovulation for a while now the fertility consultant told me not too as it can cause too much stress but clearly i need to as if im ovulating late i need to be aware so tracking again from now on. Fingers crossed it's done the trick for you this month so did you BD for 3days from getting your positive OPK? Never in my life did i think id find it this hard to get pregnant and the amount of pregnancy announcements yesterday was unreal. I should be greatful and i am that i have a DS (11yrs) but also feel guilty that i can not seem to give my partner a child that is biologically his!

Sorry to everyone that also found yesterday tough for varying reasons. I felt like that at christmas as thats when we had planned to announce the pregnancy we lost it was a shit time.
@HeathenPlayingHouse I too had EWCM day 15-16 but according to OPK i didnt ovulate and then got positive ovulation on CD 19 (Yday) Im going to do another OPK this am to see if it's still positive or a random fluke. I don't have PCOS it must be very difficult to manage :( For me this cycle is having a mind of its own im holding out little hope.

HeathenPlayingHouse · 20/03/2023 11:19

@LucyLoopyLu not stressed or ill, the only thing I can think is that I'm back to low carving but I didn't think that would push it further back.

@Mumof1hopingfor2nd Thank you, I'm actually CD20 today as well. I've gone back to OPK testing once a day in case it's just late- in January, I did have a random CD21 O day, so it's still possible I suppose.

Dreamingof3 · 20/03/2023 11:38

Our baby girl arrived this morning at 40+1, elective section and I would've waited longer to see if I could labour spontaneously but after a couple of episodes of reduced movements I just wanted her here tbh!

No name yet 🤔

Houseelf90 · 20/03/2023 11:41

Congratulations to you all @Dreamingof3 🥰 I’m sure you will give her the most perfect name soon enough ☺️ hope you’re both doing well x

Dreamingof3 · 20/03/2023 11:43

Thank you @Houseelf90, just making the most of having no feeling 😂 excited to call my other two when they finish school and see their reaction as they didn't know baby was arriving today!

Houseelf90 · 20/03/2023 11:48

@Dreamingof3 ahh that’s so sweet and exciting, I bet they will be thrilled! Enjoy the no feeling whilst it lasts!

DesertSnow · 20/03/2023 12:18

@Dreamingof3 ah huge congrats! I'm sure you'll pick the perfect name.

So sorry for all struggling with Mother's Day.

@Mumof1hopingfor2nd So I always ovulated between days 19-22 of my cycle, with an 8-9 day luteal phase. Read extensively about it, and while it can naturally decrease odds of conception due to implantation window, I don't think it effects miscarriage chances. On my successful cycle, I felt implantation on 8DPO. I think the body is very quick to send the message not to start shedding the lining once it identifies implantation - I was due to get my period the next day. I hope that's reassuring, but I know how worried and frustrated I was with my short LP while ttc. Do you know if you've always ovulated then with that length luteal phase? If there's something specific in your life that could be contributing to it (e.g. overexercise, stress) then some small changes might help and boost your odds. But for some people, it's just their normal cycle, and as long as you DTD regularly around ovulation, it could take a bit longer to conceive, but no reason for it not to happen.

HeathenPlayingHouse · 20/03/2023 14:58

@Dreamingof3 Huge congratulations to you, wonderful news! 💗💗💗

LucyLoopyLu · 20/03/2023 15:08

@Dreamingof3 congrats! So pleased for you. Hope you are both doing well

krissy12 · 20/03/2023 18:34

@Dreamingof3 massive congratulations to you

I'm losing track of who is tracking ovulation but I just wanted to say I have never had a positive opk , never have any ovulation symptoms and i have long variable cycles and never know when I ovulate but I have managed to get pregnant twice so I don't think the ovulation kits are the most reliable. last time we dtd every 2 or 3 days my whole cycle
sorry if this isn't any help but just wanted to say that the tracking isn't be all and end all and hope that takes some stress away

Mumof1hopingfor2nd · 20/03/2023 20:51

@krissy12 thats reassuring thank you

@DesertSnow thats really reassuring to know I'm not sure if its always been that way but I am planning a wedding so could be that ill keep tracking thank you

PinkButtercups · 20/03/2023 23:29

@DesertSnow Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful girl. The main thing is you're all okay. Make sure you rest and take it easy x

krissy12 · 21/03/2023 06:37

@Mumof1hopingfor2nd look into vitamin b6 I am taking it to increase progesterone but it supports the luteal phase
