I had been recommended aspirin with my last pregnancy (that resulted in MMC) due to previous pre eclampsia in first pregnancy, however was advised from 12 weeks to start that (unsure why that specific?) but didn’t get to 12 weeks.

@Sunshine2243 i haven’t checked the current NICE guidelines- is it recommended now? That in between stage also you don’t really get input do you until your 7/8 week check?

Mannymoomin · 29/12/2022 20:52

@LuckyMoonstone exactly the same happened to me on my last cycle. luteal phase was only 7 days and I started spotting at 5dpo, and when it did start off heavily it stopped again for a full day before returning. I’ve always had a LP of 13 days so 7 days really threw me .

I have no idea what’s going on with me this cycle, I’ve still not had a real peak on CB OPK, still getting flashing smileys but my CM has gone from EW to watery. Pre MC I could count on watery CM meaning O had happened.
Unless I’ve surged in the night and missed it, but again, pre MC I always had a 12 hour surge.
or, I haven’t Od this cycle. I’m on CD15 and never had ovulation occur past CD14.

LuckyMoonstone · 29/12/2022 21:07

@Mannymoomin well the pinky red spotting has gone now and so have the cramps 🤷‍♀️ will have to see what my bbt is in the morning! So confusing!

mummatara · 30/12/2022 09:27

@Mannymoomin I got a solid
Smiley this morning was very unexpected I thought I was in for at least 7/8 days of flashing. I even got it out to check for flooding but it looks pretty positive to me. Dipped a strip also looking positive 😳 looks like I'm in for a short cycle this time I'm only CD11. How did your opks look today? I remember the cycle we had so many flashing smileys it was really hard to get the enthusiasm for dtd 😩

@LuckyMoonstone how's the temp this morning?

LuckyMoonstone · 30/12/2022 09:39

@mummatara up slightly but I think this is AF, it’s enough to wear a pad now 😔

mummatara · 30/12/2022 09:40

@LuckyMoonstone ahhh bugger sorry lovely ❤️

bunnykins123 · 30/12/2022 10:07

@LuckyMoonstone ah I'm sorry to hear that 😢

FfayeN · 30/12/2022 10:09

@LuckyMoonstone sorry to hear this 🙁. How many days was this cycle? It's hard to find the silver lining but if your cycles are getting shorter that is good news for your hormones, which will absolutely make a difference when you do get that BFP 😘 xx

Thanks all, it’s fine I’ll just carry on :( it was 35 days if today is CD1 but the AF spotting started two days ago which worried me as that’s way too short an LP :( still waiting for this gynaecology referral as well

Hey, the NICE guidelines have it from 12 weeks, while some consultants/fertility experts say you can take it earlier if recurrent miscarriages. Either way, best to double check it with your doctor/consultant if suitable in your situation, as not good for some people, especially those with stomach issues.

Rosegold3112 · 30/12/2022 12:07

@Sunshine2243 i was prescribed aspirin 150mg a day from 12 weeks with my last pregnancy due to an increased risk of pre-eclampsia with gestational diabetes. I still lost my baby though so can't really say if it was worth it. So far all my test results have returned as normal so no explanation as to why I lost my baby 😔

@LuckyMoonstone sorry to hear af may be here. Hoping this cycle brings you better news.

I'm now in day 7 of spotting, very watery light pink. Not cramping but definitely feeling a lot more periody so I expect she'll be here soon - a big poo might push her out later. My temp is still up though and it normally takes a massive drop the day before so not really sure what's occurring there 🤷‍♀️

HalWin2221 · 30/12/2022 12:10

just wanted to jump on, I’ve been keeping an eye on you girls and love to see all the BFP!

@Sunshine2243, I’ve been taking aspirin from my BFP and i’m 15 weeks tomorrow. My midwife said it wouldn’t make a difference in taking it and may help with preeclampsia in the future. But, I had 2 MC that didn’t make it past 5 weeks, so I’m swearing by the aspirin 🙌🏾 you can get gastro resistant ones if you have any stomach issues. she just advised if you start taking it not to suddenly stop.

congratulations! Did you start with 75mg or 150mg?

HalWin2221 · 30/12/2022 16:54

@Sunshine2243 I started with 75mg. I just thought if I had another miscarriage, I would hate myself for not at least trying. You’ve just gotta decide for yourself what works 🥰 it could be a complete fluke for me, but it helped my mind as it made me feel like I was doing something different! X

Mannymoomin · 30/12/2022 17:27

@mummatara yay for solid smiley!

No idea what’s going on with me, I’ve either already Od and missed it on the digital or I’m having an anovulatory cycle.
CM is pretty much drying up now, it was watery yesterday and EW the day before. But not massive amounts which is unusual for me as it’s always obvious so absolutely no idea 🤷‍♀️

Have dtd plenty anyway so will just have to wait and see I guess

mummatara · 30/12/2022 19:32

@Mannymoomin oh how odd 🤔 did you use any strip opks alongside the cb? Does sound like it's on the way out

Mannymoomin · 30/12/2022 20:18

I used some cheapies alongside first peak, which was completely negative. CM didn’t correspond and the test was flooded on CB when I checked later so I discounted it. Ran out of cheapy strips so couldn’t continue checking with them, didn’t think I’d need to tbh!

I had most EW on CD13 though, I’m CD16 today and personally think I’ve Od on CD14 but missed my surge. I always surge between 11pm and 5am so easy to miss.

Sooo my CM chart is telling me I’m 2dpo, really wish I’d tempd this month, but 2 years of tracking CM I know my pattern goes,
AF——dry——sticky—Egg white —— watery——slightly wet——10dpo super thick and creamy—— AF

Im at the slightly wet stage now and have def seen EW and watery, going to have to trust my gut on this one I think.

Mannymoomin · 30/12/2022 23:48

@mummatara well I can’t believe after writing all that, I’m now abundantly full of EWCM, thought I’d dip just in case and finally got my peak. Never ever Od so late in a cycle.
MC has well and truly changed a lot of things that are my normal, so looks like we’re dtd over the next 3 days too!

Rosegold3112 · 31/12/2022 07:32

12-14dpo and got my big temp dip today so af is officially on her way. Taking DD into London for the day so if she can hold off until tomorrow that would be great 🤞

mummatara · 31/12/2022 07:50

@Mannymoomin lol well that's good news at least and your not going crazy and didn't miss it 🙈 just a couple more sessions then you can have a rest 😂💪🏼

calipoppy · 31/12/2022 09:44

Hi everyone, I've posted on here in the past but had a break the last few months as sadly had another mmc at 10 weeks in September. Since then we have started TTC again but I deliberately stopped tracking etc for my mental health.

I think I was due AF today and normally I spot a few days before so should have had something by now but nothing. Normally I would have tested days ago but this month I feel really reluctant to test, has anyone else had this? It makes me feel a bit sad that I'm kind of scared of a positive xx

FfayeN · 31/12/2022 10:27

@calipoppy I think it's perfectly normal to have that apprehension. Whatever the result you have the support of the group here 😘 x

@calipoppy I've definitely seen people here say that before so you're not alone in that regard. I think it will be me next time as well.

Good luck :)

I think I’m pregnant with my rainbow baby but I feel confused/cautious!!

I had a very early (<5weeks) miscarriage on 5th dec. I only ever got 1 positive test on a sensitive test 4 days after my period was due. Bleeding started day after and I had 2 regular tests that were negative the day after then 1 week later.

During this new cycle I had 2 positive ovulation tests at cd14 and 18 so presuming was the later. More ovulation symptoms than normal so we did wonder about hyper ovulation.

my temperature dropped a bit after miscarriage but never below cover line and my boobs stayed sore. So I decided to do a test at 9dpo just to completely exclude the chance that pregnancy had continued but slow to rise hcg. We were fully expecting a negative as it was a regular test and done so early. We thought the only chance of a positive is if last time was actually only a threatened miscarriage in which case we’d get a strong result now 3 weeks later! We figured it would either be (unlikely) very positive (it continued) or completely negative (as we were only pregnant for less than 5 weeks so hcg would drop fast)

But in fact we got a weak positive. Followed up with a sensitive 6 day early digital test which confirmed pregnancy though it’s not showing on a regular ‘how many weeks’ digital test yet.

i think it must be a new pregnancy as can’t see how I’d have 2 negative tests soon after miscarriage then a faint positive now. Especially as the first test I did wasn’t a sensitive one. I also had smell aversion over the turkey on Xmas day and cried over a song 4x!

but I still just have a niggling doubt! Probably nerves after last time!

we have family visiting tonight for our engagement meal and usually my fiancés parents live abroad so today is our only chance to tell them face to face which would be so special!

however we do we want to be really sure it’s a positive before we do (happy not to wait til 12 weeks for close family though as I needed family support last miscarriage)

Any thoughts? Or similar experiences? Should we tell them?

And showing so early on a cheapy test +hyper ovulation symptoms, could we be expecting twins?!!

Just a little update in case anyone finds themselves in a similar position! Im definitely pregnant! We've been doing tests over the past few days and line is getting nice and strong. Nausea also well and truly kicked in this morning! And fatigue the last few days

We did decide to tell the family at our engagement party and now very glad we did as will never get that chance again with my fiances family living abroad!

Period still not due until tomorrow/monday so to be getting such a strong positive so early on a non-sensitive pregnancy test has us contemplating if it might be twins. (Lots of other indicators too inc 4 risk factors, previous high follicle count on ultrasound, early symptoms plus symptoms of prolonged hyper ovulation mid cycle with 3 days of CM and ovulatory pains!) Since Im 36 and would like more than 1 child, it would definitely solve a problem though would be very daunting if my hunch is right!!!)

Good luck to everyone else trying for their rainbow babies. 🌈

mummatara · 31/12/2022 12:49

@calipoppy big hugs we're here if you need support ❤️

@Leanne0333 that's wonderful news! So glad you got to share with family in person too

Well hopefully my bbt will confirm ovulation in the next few days 🤞🏼 But I’m still not ruling out a false start as I am still bleeding 🙄
