Well AF has not long arrived, full force with clots and all. Much heavier than usual.
so that makes 6 weeks for first cycle after miscarriage, and a massive 17days for this 2nd cycle.
hoping it will be 3rd cycle lucky and we’ll manage lots of BD around Xmas when I should hopefully next ovulate. I’m sticking around though and hope to see lots of bfp and a lucky thread xx

I've noticed a few posts about cervixes and I have a question. Sorry for tmi! My partner and I were getting frisky and normally I am not a fan of fingers inside but today he said he noticed that as his finger went deeper it suddenly got a lot tighter inside. He didn't tell me at the time so I'm not sure what it felt like to me annoyingly but I'm worried my cervix might still be a little open? I felt a little sore when we dtd and bled a little after too, so I think my cervix is lower now. When we dtd a week ago, it felt a lot different so I assume my cervix was higher. I've never felt for it myself.
I'm exactly 3 weeks post delivery today. I thought i may have been ovulating last week cos of ewcm but I've been taking my temps for a few days and they're all the same sort of temp as ally previous pre-ovulation temps. Going to assume it hasn't happened yet. Now with this latest revelation I'm worried things aren't getti g back to normal. Does the cervix stay open after? Does this sound like an open cervix?

Shannonmcc · 16/12/2022 09:40

Hi everyone was catching up on everyone's messages, I was never as glad to see questions about cervix positionings, it has took me a bit to get understanding of soft and firm cervix's, my cervix is still high and soft today and I am 3dpo I have started producing creamy cm. I am still temping and each morning my BBT is rising 0.05 so this morning reading was 36.52 I hope this is all a good sign is anyone else temping and are they rising each morning after O? Is anyone almost ready to test? I cannot wait to next week I am hoping to test Christmas eve il be 11dpo then and my last pregnancy I was around 11dpo when I got my bfp 🤞

Hi ladies, (hope I am not missing out anyone!)
@Mannymoomin @Shannonmcc @Rosegold3112 @ChloeN @Babydustmamma @MrsCristianoX

Very interesting to know about effort to understand and feel (:P) the cervix. The only experience I have had was trying to get in fertilily and the menstrual cup in and out on different occasions.

I had success with the fertilily after a few months but it was so hard with the menstrual cup... Once I used more than one hour trying to get it out using all my finger length and all positions 😂, stressed and sweaty in the end....i think the position is high but I never ever managed to feel what it is like... I was completely awed with human body structure!

Coming back to ttc, i notice a consistent temp rise too, but no other symptoms this month... So very thin hope.
I might test later today and just embrace another disappointment, however it's busy year end and probably not the worst time to distract and put the ttc goal a bit further away!!😎

mummatara · 16/12/2022 10:28

@Shannonmcc I always have a steady rise offer O rather than one large one it levels out after 3/4 days I've got everything crossed for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

mummatara · 16/12/2022 10:32

@Rosegold3112 mine is always a little bit open since I've had DS I'm pretty sure it's normal I've read it can stay open a little after birth so I assume that is birth of any kind I think once somethings been stretched open a lot it won't ever quite go back properly. Dread to think what mines like now after one birth and 2 D&C surgery's 😳 I darent check 😂

Mannymoomin · 16/12/2022 17:01

Well after about 3 hours of heavy bleeding, clotting and intense cramps last night, AF has gone.
Ive no idea if I should count that as day 1 of my cycle, have not had a smudge of bleeding today. Does a short luteal phase typically mean a shorter AF? I normally have a LP of 13 days and AF lasts around 6 days for me, so no idea if that was my AF or just mid cycle bleeding.
Im certainly going to have to be dtd more though to cover the uncertainty.
With my cycle being so short it could just mean less lining to shed so it could have been real AF, but then I’m not sure

MrsCristianoX · 16/12/2022 19:32

@Mannymoomin I'm with you on giving birth 3 times and the tilted cervix. I'm gonna need to sort my life out and go digging 😂 get DH on it. Also plan to bbt next month. Currently 8/9 dpo and norovirus struck me yesterday. Just about recovered but absolutely not hopeful with the cramps yesterday 😢🙈

Mannymoomin · 16/12/2022 20:08

@MrsCristianoX haha my Dh wouldn’t know my cervix if it hit him in the face, he’d probably also get off on feeling about for it as well 😂
fingers crossed that cramping was a little bean implanting 🤞 and that Norovirus has done one.
I have a teenager stuck in his room with awful flu, I’m really hoping it’s stayed there, he’s had it all week and no one else yet so 🤞 can’t be doing with me or Dh getting that in my fertile week whenever it comes.
i just can’t manage tracking bbt so will have to rely on good old CM and start OPK when it starts changing.

Think my hormones are still off post MC and I’m counting yesterday’s rather large and out of nowhere gush of bleeding as cd1. I really don’t know though at this point as it seemed to sudden and short lived for AF 🤷‍♀️

MrsCristianoX · 16/12/2022 20:18

@Mannymoomin 😂😂 so true I think he'd give it a go though 😆

I mean I say that but I had a thermometer and forgot to use it 🙄 my teen had strep a last weekend. I avoided that successfully 🙏

Defo too short for AF but after miscarriage anything goes.

Babydustmamma · 16/12/2022 21:09

@Mannymoomin before my mc my luteal phase was normal length, and AF was 7 days. Now my luteal phase is about 8 days long and my AF is 12…. 😅 waiting for my cycles to go back to normal ♥️

MrsCristianoX · 16/12/2022 23:55

Stupid cervix hunting. Think I found it and gave myself a cramp 🙄 Good night all 😴

Babydustmamma · 17/12/2022 08:47

@MrsCristianoX that did make me chuckle 😂♥️

well I tested and got a BFN x

Shannonmcc · 17/12/2022 08:48

Hi everyone I was hoping someone could help me out. Today I'm 4dpo and my BBT has took a dip from yesterday morning it was 36.52 and this morning dropped to 36.44. I have read that a second estrogen surge can happen around this time and that causes a dip and was just wondering if anyone has experienced this.
@ChloeN if your were temping had you experienced anything like this before your bfp? X

MrsC2018 · 17/12/2022 09:55

@MrsCristianoX you guys are braver than me, the thought of touching my cervix voluntarily brings me out in a cold sweat! Too many smear test bad memories I reckon 🤣🙈
@Babydustmamma bfn is shit, I'm sorry.

I'm now CD16 of the first proper cycle since the October miscarriage and got a peak smiley today after 4 days of flashing so hopefully things are getting back to normal for me. Period will then be due 30th so hopefully a new year pregnancy for me this year to put this whole sorry year behind us!

MrsC2018 · 17/12/2022 10:21

I can't remember if this has been discussed on here, but does anyone use a ferti Lily and if so - do you recommend? Can't decide whether to order one, if I order within an hour Amazon will bring it today 🙈

MrsCristianoX · 17/12/2022 11:06

@Babydustmamma how many dpo again? So sorry it is rubbish that's why I'm holding out 😢

@MrsC2018 if you order one you are gonna have to start digging about too😆 get one it can do no harm trying and I think it can help xx

ChloeN · 17/12/2022 11:06

@Shannonmcc ive never done bbt, sorry I’m not much help!😢 the only thing I noticed was a higher opk at 6dpo which I read could be due to implantation xx

@MrsC2018 yep I think lots of people recommend and have got pregnant using it! I bought one and used it one cycle, but the cycle I didnt use it I got pregnant so it didn’t help me, but I think that’s more down to luck!

Shannonmcc · 17/12/2022 12:24

@ChloeN no don't be apologising your ok. My cervix is still remaining high soft and closed and I read somewhere that if the cervix remains high and soft after confirmed O it can indicate conception and if conception didn't occur then the cervix drops down low and feels firm then it's getting ready for AF. Fingers crossed tomorrow my BBT wil rise again as then I am still in as lots of stories have been successful with a bfp with a one day dip at 4dpo and then risen again 5dpo x

MrsC2018 · 17/12/2022 12:52

@MrsCristianoX I ordered it roughly 20seconds after posting - I have no willpower 🙈 just praying Amazon actually do deliver today so I can use it tonight 😳

ChloeN · 17/12/2022 12:53

@Shannonmcc that sounds like a good sign with your cervix! Mine definitely went low just after ovulation and then went back up again before my bfp xx

Shannonmcc · 17/12/2022 13:05

@ChloeN I never checked my cervix after ovulation so I'm not sure if mine dropped and risen again lol but it's definitely still high today. Aw this TWW is a torture lol looking at my chart I didn't have a huge BBT drop as it's still above coverline ill post a pic of it on here Aswell incase anyone has any advice lol I'm still lh testing and it's staying low xx

TheBirdintheCave · 17/12/2022 15:48

@MrsC2018 The Ferti-lily worked for me on the first go :)

mummatara · 17/12/2022 16:16

@Shannonmcc mine fluctuates a little like that after O sometimes so that little drop is fine as still in coverline 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Shannonmcc · 17/12/2022 18:05

@mummatara aw that's so good for the reassurance thank you. Hopefully il see a rise again tomorrow and it remains for another whole
