Hey,

It's my second cycle if ivf, I'm on Bemfola 225 iu and it's day 4 of my cycle. Last time I was on Gonal F 150iu. Was wondering if it will produce more eggs now.

Just wanted to ask anyones dosage, the name of their ivf medication and the egg result, home many were retrieved?

@Hyppyb Morning, how are you feeling? How’s the 2ww been for you? X

Hyppyb · 18/11/2022 08:03

@SH998 hope you are well and everyone else in the thread.

Today is 4 days past my 5 day blastocyst and I'm having sharp cramps. Its been happening since 2 days past. It could be implantation cramps but then I was thinking it could be to do with the vaginal pessaries emitting progesterone but I've had a read and the only side effects is vaginal irritation. So fingers crossed it is implantation.

@Hyppyb all good with me thanks, I have a scan on 22nd to see how the lining is looking so fingers crossed all OK on that, if so, transfer will be the week after 🤞🏼
I would say that’s a positive sign, when I was pregnant, the first weekend after the transfer I had some really strange feelings, more of a pulling sensation, rumbling and breathlessness. It was a feeling I had never felt before so I knew something different was happening, let’s hope this is the same for you, when’s test day for you? X

Hyppyb · 18/11/2022 08:56

@SH998 fingers crossed your lining is thick enough. If it isn't on the first scan it will very likely be on the second. My first scan I was 7, the clinic wanted 8, few days later I was 10. I saw on YouTube different clinics have different requirements.

This is my 6th tww and everytime I have symptoms I guess looking for it but I don't believe I've had cramps this early or for this long. Ive never had a blastocyst transfered in me just did IUIs and a 3day embryo 8 cells. Some women test 4dp5dt. It's kind of early. I had a trigger shot on the 7th might be still in my system. With FET you won't have a trigger shot so that's a bonus. No needles.

Meant to test on the 25th.

Hyppyb · 19/11/2022 13:01

Afternoon all, on 5 days past my 5 day transfer I tested on a cheapie pregnancy test that detects 10miu. There's a very faint pink line. It could be the trigger shot still in my system after 12 days. We will see.

@Hyppyb your as impatient as me then lol 😂
Thats exactly how mine looked 5 days after transfer and it grew darker each day, keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 x

Hyppyb · 20/11/2022 09:31

Morning, so I did a first response test this morning 6dp5dt and the line was there, darker than the test I took before. So it's looking good. I just hope the line keeps getting darker.

@Hyppyb its definately there, how amazing for you? Has it progressed since? How are you feeling?
I'm booked for my transfer on 28/11 :) x

Hyppyb · 22/11/2022 15:34

@SH998 happy to hear youre all booked for your transfer. So your lining clearly was thick enough? I found it quite intense my FET couple months ago, I had just one embryo from that cycle and it was a day 3 8 cell grade 1. So all or nothing at the time.

Thank you. I'm definitely pregnant. I only have 2 first response tests left so will use one tomorrow morning and then on my test day the clinic gave on Friday I think 11dp5dt. I would say 2dp5dt to 4dp5dt I could feel cramping, I was like a hunchback, that I know was when implantation happened so I was like hmmm could be. Then day 6dp5dt I say that the line even though faint was darker than the test 2 days ago and I was like "oh I think I'm pregnant" then yesterday the test was darker and I was like "I'm so pregnant".

So now it's all about just watching the lines getting darker as it's so early. I read that with chemical pregnancies the lack of pregnancy symptoms is a sign and I'm having shooting pain in my breasts so trying to be positive. This new clinic I'm with don't do blood tests where I go in so it just realise on me testing.

@Hyppyb Yes, lining was 8.4 but sure it will thicken more for the transfer on Monday, I'm sure my lining was 11.3 on my last transfer. Just praying now it comes through the defrosting OK.
Its definately positive and will continue to get darker, your experiencing symptoms which is great. My symptoms were there but not very strong, the main symptom for me was extreme tiredness, I was sleeping in my car on lunchbreaks lol. Have you told any close family members/close friends?
My clinic doesn't do bloods either so only relied on the tests but they are very accurate so makes sense x

Hyppyb · 23/11/2022 11:55

@SH998 8.4 at this stage is very good will only get thicker as you say. I was the same with the FET, worried about the one and only embryo not surviving the defrosting. The embryologist said they would call me the morning of the FET if it didnt survive, then on the day there was the clinic ringing I was like oh no, it was just a nurse telling me to come in early. So stressful. My fresh transfer was so different, I was so chilled because I knew i had so many other embryos. Hope it all goes well for you when you get to there.

I fell asleep watching a movie on Friday so could be a symptom! 😁 Just achey breasta for now. Cramps have stopped.

So I'm a single mum by choice even though I wouldnt say I'm single by choice, I would have loved to do this with a partner. I know I'm more than capable of doing this alone. My mum died 8 years ago, I don't have siblings, so that was a real push to do this. I've told 2 friends about the positive test and got to call the clinic of Friday. I do have cousins but don't really see them everyone is so busy so will tell them eventually.

I'm 4 weeks exactly today. ☺️

@Hyppyb a massive happy 4 weeks to you :) :)
I know how stressful it can be, a few years back me and my partner split so I was all geared up to do it alone going as far as telling the clinic and looking at donor sites. We did get back together which held up the process as we needed a 'cooling down' period to prove we were OK again. I take my hat off to you for doing it alone, its such a brave decision to make and you should be proud of yourself for not being fazed and doing all you can to achieve your dream. I'm sure if your mum was here she would be extremely proud of you :)
They were looking at 7 minimum in my clinic so was happy with that result. I stressed enough from my first transfer waiting for the calls from the embryologist every other day so I'm probably going to be another mental case this time around. I'm praying all will be fine, the embryologist said last time around it was a good one, a grade B, I'm not sure what that is, googled it a few times but a lot quote numbers so I'm none the wiser.
Keep your friends close by, they will be a godsend in a few months when the sleepless nights start :)

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 23/11/2022 12:40

Honesty, it really varies from cycle to cycle. Higher dose doesn't necessarily mean more eggs. What you really need is a few decent quality ones.

Hyppyb · 23/11/2022 13:07

Grade B? The embryo I'm pregnant with is a grade B. Its a 5 day blastocyst 4BB which they say is average but the percentage of success is really high. I heard grading an embryo as AA isn't done hat often. See the guide I've been looking at.

I would say try to be positive and as relaxed as you can. I'd say my last transfer was the most relaxed I ever have been. Got mu fingers crossed.

Aww thank you. It's a big step but one I chose like 5 years ago so well thought out and researched. My mum was a single parent so I know she would get it. I just knew if I didn't do this or try I would regret it. So now I can say no regrets.

Hyppyb · 23/11/2022 14:37

@Talkwhilstyouwalk a higher dose worked better for me, gave meggs that were bigger quicker, more in quantity and embryos that made it to day 5. Lower dose only made one embryo that was a day 3 i ended up with and it failed. But thats just my experience. Everyone will be different.

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 23/11/2022 21:20

Ah just seen that it worked - missed that earlier!!! Congratulations to you, lovely news :)

megosaurusrex · 23/11/2022 21:27

I did a round of mild IVF. I was on 150mg Bemfola. Had 8 eggs retrieved, 3 eggs fertilized, 2 became viable embryos. One embryo was transferred at day 3 (who is now DS Smile) and the other embryo was put in storage at day 5, will be used for a FET in the future.

megosaurusrex · 23/11/2022 21:29

And congratulations OP! Smile

Hyppyb · 24/11/2022 11:05

@Talkwhilstyouwalk thank you 🙏

OP posts:
Hyppyb · 24/11/2022 11:08

@megosaurusrex the low dosage clearly worked for you. Thank you 😁 Still in shock been trying for a year 5 failed attempts of IUIs and a ivf transfer. Will sink in.

Depends on the AMH you're working with.

Hyppyb · 25/11/2022 06:36

So today's my last day of testing on the first response pregnancy test on 11dp5dt and it's a dye stealer. 😌
