TWW starting 27.10.22 - who's with me?

MrsAlexander · 27/10/2022 22:19

I say it starts today... today is ovulation day and will be the last baby dancing with my other half so I'm pretty much counting from now.

I had an early MC on the 11th October (I have had MC and MMC before - no living children) and have tracked my ovulation with the CB tests. After a rough few weeks I literally could have cried seeing ovulation was bang on the day it was the previous cycle where I got pregnant.

Anyway, who's with me and starting their TWW around now? I'd love some support to be honest although I'm obviously a little battered and bruised (literally from four HCG tests a few weeks ago) not pinning every hope but equally enjoying my optimism right now until we know one way or another ♥️ x

Hello 😊 I'm currently 1dpo so not far ahead, here to keep you company for the tww!
We're trying for baby no 2, have had a chemical and early miscarriage also. So horrible isn't it. Wishing you all the luck in the world!

MrsAlexander · 27/10/2022 22:37

hello @MamaSJ15! I'm never 100% when the 1st day starts 😅 I had a load of the CB test sticks so I was testing morning and evening the last few days as normally it seems to indicate I ovulate later in the day. It definitely wasn't peak at 6pm yesterday but was at 7am today so is 1DPO tomorrow?! Who knows!

This last MC I had all kinds of undeniable symptoms from 3DPO and time went so slowly 🫠 but I'm trying to not pin every hope on this being the one. I'm just so happy I ovulated on time! Please update this thread with how you're feeling and let's see if anyone else joins in 🥳 good luck x

Im 2DPO so not far ahead! Trying not to symptom spot but noticed some light brown discharge which I had thought might be IB but seems like it was ovulation bleeding! The TWW is just the worst, going to have to stop myself testing early! Wishing everyone luck, we wil get through it together!

MrsAlexander · 27/10/2022 22:57

Eeeek hello @Niamhyc ! It goes painfully slow doesn't it? Last month I would be thinking "right I'm 5DPO" and then by the next morning I would be recounting it just incase I had miscounted and I was an extra day along - wishful thinking! I re-countered so many times!

Last month I had a very faint positive on 9DPO so I know it can happen! Fingers crossed for you and keep us updated in here! x

OP posts:
MamaSJ15 · 27/10/2022 23:22

@MrsAlexander yeah I'd say tomorrow would be 1dpo for you 😊 whenever I've had a positive test, I've tended to not have any symptoms first so I do try not to associate any symptoms I feel with pregnancy cause I hate getting my hopes up!

MrsAlexander · 27/10/2022 23:29

Definitely @MamaSJ15! One of my pregnancies I found out at five weeks and wasn't TTC. I didn't notice specifically any symptoms but seriously this last one I had a day that I honestly felt like I'd been hit by a bus and couldn't put it down to anything. I was wiped out. Of course, could have been a total coincidence!

Still... excited to be back trying. It's been one hell of a month 😣

MamaSJ15 · 28/10/2022 07:18

@MrsAlexander why have you had a bad month? How's your day looking today? I need to get out of bed 🥱 sort myself and DD ready for school/work and get going! Woop it's Friday! 🥳

MrsAlexander · 28/10/2022 09:50

@MamaSJ15 As I was saying I had an early miscarriage on the 11th October so that involved four blood tests, back and forth to the hospital and scans as they were concerned initially it was ectopic.

I just want to TRY and enjoy the possibly that I am back pregnant again but not with my hopes up. Fingers crossed for all of us ❤️‍🔥

@MrsAlexander oh I'm sorry I hadn't realised it was so recent. It is horrid, I'm glad your cycle seems to have continued as normal though, mine was all over the place after my miscarriage. It's only recently gonna back to normal really. This is the first cycle in about 6 that ovulation has happened earlier on, for some reason I'd started ovulating around CD18 but this time was CD15 so I'm happy about that!

Jendy87 · 28/10/2022 13:40

Hi ladies, hoping to join this board.
im 2dpo
i have two children 😀 but sadly have had a mmc and chemical pregnancy this year 😞
im on a Medicated cycle this month for the first time.
actually hoping that I have ovulated?
my bbt isn’t responding the same way with these meds
im also taking progesterone this month.
🤞🏻 For us all.
I’ve had some niggling in my left ovary area today and some bloating.
maybe just my meds though!

kt1302 · 28/10/2022 13:56

Hi Everyone,

I have just joined the TWW. hoping to see lots of bpf!!
I have been trying for over a year, chemical this time last year I became obsessed so I relaxed about the whole thing but I have became obsessed again :(
I do have 2 children already and hoping we can give them a sibling!!
🤞🏻🤞🏻

MrsAlexander · 28/10/2022 14:34

Welcome @Jendy87 @kt1302 !

It's sad to read how many of us have had MC, MMC and chemicals 😞 but we are all here on this exciting time.

It's hard to not symptom spot and get hopes up isn't it? I keep saying that I'm in shock that I MC only on the 11th and already had confirmed ovulation yesterday so I feel blessed that even if it isn't this cycle... I am back on track.

Keep us all updated! x

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts.
It is really sad that we have all had to suffer this pain.
Great to hear that your cycle has returned so quickly.
for myself it was 6 weeks before after my period returned after my mmc.
my body thought I was 9weeks pregnant so I guess that’s a lot of hcg to clear!
for my chemical it was around 4 weeks.
wishing you the best this cycle! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

MrsAlexander · 28/10/2022 17:05

Similar for my MMC @Jendy87 found out at the 12 week scan it had stopped at 7w3d so it took a while. I think with this being so early my body has jumped right back so it's a positive.

This is going to be longest two weeks though but I'm excited and will try to remain upbeat either way.

How long has everyone been trying for? x

Welcome everyone 😊 lovely to have others to go through the tww with!

@MrsAlexander we started trying around aug last year, had a chemical after 3 cycles, took a break till about Jan/Feb this year and been trying since. Had a miscarriage back in June. Trying for #2 😊 have a 3 year old daughter already but really want her to have a sibling!

MrsAlexander · 29/10/2022 17:27

It's definitely lovely to have a group of us going through this together @MamaSJ15

Sorry to read about your chemical and MC, they're so hard and heartbreaking at the time. To be honest, they told me a few weeks ago it could be ectopic I honestly didn't think I could go through this again but as it wasn't and I MC, as hard as it was it gave me the strength to carry on as I didn't have to go through surgery or medication.

Looking forward to everyone's updates x

MamaSJ15 · 29/10/2022 20:46

@MrsAlexander definitely 😊 it really is hard to deal with the downsides to TTC but it'll make us all stronger in the long run 😊

Alittleknowledge · 29/10/2022 21:21

I'll join!

Couple of days behind most of you I think. First month properly back to TTC after a 2nd trimester miscarriage at the start of this year followed by some significant surgery this summer. Took me 6 months when we started trying last year to even fall pregnant and i'm now half and ovary and 18 months later and still no little one at home 😔

Wishing you all positive news, especially after so many of us have had losses. I hope we all get positive news soon😊

MrsAlexander · 29/10/2022 22:06

Welcome @Alittleknowledge

I'm so sorry to read about your 2nd trimester MC - it's so heartbreaking. I have no living children but MMC and MC under my belt so I totally get it.

Where are you at right now? What DPO? I'm only 2DPO myself but trying to be positive.

Side note: to add a little interest to this post... back in August I had a fertility prediction which was highly recommend. She said she felt that it would be October for me, birth in the following July (could be this year or next) October could be the conception month or the month that the cycle starts that leads to conception and that the numbers 1,9 and 25 were significant to BFP, ovulation, cycle start date or due date. My MC was conceived in September but I found out on the 25th Sept, my cycle was due to start on the 1st October and I would have been due 9th June.

Sooo... the question is... is the baby boy she predicted going to happen this cycle or did she predict the numbers based on the last month as it all ties up! Either way I'll update this thread when I know one way or another! x

Hey ladies, would love to jump on this thread!

DH and I are at the very start of our journey TTC baby #1. Been off birth control since mid-August but I’m considering this as our first month actually trying as my cycle has taken a little time to regulate after having my implant removed (had an implant for 7 years and I never had a period while it was in there, so it’s not surprising that it took a little while for my body to get back to default setting!)

We think I ovulated on the 26th, so planning to wait until the 10th to test. I am already driving myself round the bend though so not sure I’ll make it through the full two weeks without being tempted to test! So any company is much appreciated! 😊

If your peak was on the 27th then you assume you ovulate on the 28th and on the 29th you are 1dpo.

Alittleknowledge · 30/10/2022 08:18

@MrsAlexander I think I’m either D1 or D2 DPO today. Didn’t go for temps this month as I’ve been on nights but everything else points towards that.
I’m not a believer in Tarot/Astrology etc but do find it entertaining and interesting, even if I think it tells us more about us now than in the future. What prompted you to to get a reading? Was it based on your star sign or did they use some other technique?

@HelloItSoph sounds like you might be the first of us due to test. Hopefully you start the good luck off! I’m a terrible symptom spotter and always want to test early.

Completely get the want to test sooner rather than later. Of course when I actually was pregnant last year my early test on D11 was negative, I had no symptoms at all (not even my usual PMS) and eventually tested positive at D15 PO 🙄
Then again I’m in awe of the Ladies who can wait around until 7 days after their missed period - the self control! Boots have made their money off me with pregnancy tests, that’s for certain!

MrsAlexander · 30/10/2022 08:26

Welcome @HelloItSoph ! You're in good company here - it's hard to not think about! I'm trying my best but you just get curious!

@Alittleknowledge So in August I was really down. I had no living children and all I kept on saying is "if I knew one was coming I would be ok, it's the not knowing" so I decided to go ahead and have a reading. I do believe some have an absolute gift and others are complete con artists but at that point I was just looking for some hope / comfort and it gave me it. I do think it was interesting that all of those dates line up! We shall see!

MrsAlexander · 30/10/2022 08:26

@MrsAlexander when you’ve been waiting for ages you absolutely have to do everything you can to keep your spirits up and stress down. It’s such a long and lonely journey after losses. Hopefully they will be some lucky dates for you 😊
