TWW starting 27.10.22 - who's with me?

I say it starts today... today is ovulation day and will be the last baby dancing with my other half so I'm pretty much counting from now.

I had an early MC on the 11th October (I have had MC and MMC before - no living children) and have tracked my ovulation with the CB tests. After a rough few weeks I literally could have cried seeing ovulation was bang on the day it was the previous cycle where I got pregnant.

Anyway, who's with me and starting their TWW around now? I'd love some support to be honest although I'm obviously a little battered and bruised (literally from four HCG tests a few weeks ago) not pinning every hope but equally enjoying my optimism right now until we know one way or another ♥️ x

I've just done an afternoon test (because I like to torture myself!) And I feel like I see a faint line. It came up in the time but it's super super faint. It's probably an indent but I'm going to be so annoyed if it is.

vitahelp · 11/11/2022 07:34

@s14a Which tests are you using? I really hope it was a real line, are you testing again this morning?

My temp plummeted this morning and been having cramps since yesterday evening so it's just a matter of time before AF shows now. Feeling ok about it, I had already come to terms with it not being my cycle a few days ago, it's just a shame I got that freak high temperature which got my hopes up for a minute.

s14a · 11/11/2022 07:39

@vitahelp

I'm using the one step but they really are awful.

These are my tests this morning 🥳

I think I'd have probably got a proper line if I'd have used a frer yesterday.

One step have a 10 sensitivity but online says they aren't great
Frer is 6 apparently.

@s14a eeeek CONGRATS!!!!!! Beautiful clear line 🥳🥳

@vitahelp sorry for the temp drop 😞 will be right here with you for the next cycle. Also luteal phase is pretty stable but can change a day or two either side — I’m usually 13 days but have had 15 days before!

vitahelp · 11/11/2022 12:21

@s14a Omg congratulations!!!! Amazing news 😊I was about to warn you about the one step test as I had a bad experience with them, but glad to see you've used an FRER as they are super reliable from what I've heard! Have you told anyone your exciting news yet?

s14a · 11/11/2022 14:19

@vitahelp thank you!
No we haven't told anyone yet. I had a miscarriage on 15th October so I'm very very wary at this point that a positive test does not mean a successful pregnancy.
My DH and I have agreed that if my tests are still positive this time next week we will book a scan for 6 weeks to see that everything is going as it should.

It's actually the 6th anniversary of my first date with DH today so lovely timing for a BFP especially if it all goes okay!

vitahelp · 11/11/2022 18:32

@s14a I’m sorry you’ve experienced a miscarriage previously. That sounds like a good plan. Keep us updated here if you can.
That is so lovely that you’ve got your BFP on a special date to you both 🥰

I’ve still not got AF and cramps are gone now. Feel a bit confused but with temps dropping low I’m still expecting AF to turn up over the weekend. I think I must have got my ovulation date wrong.

MrsAlexander · 11/11/2022 20:57

Just a little update for me... AF came today so that's me out for the month but that's ok. It would have been amazing if I'd have caught again straight after my early MC last cycle. Trying to keep positive x

@s14a Congratulations very happy for you

@MrsAlexander im glad your trying to keep positive ♥️ I’m sorry you’re AF came but I hope next month is the one!

after my last BPN a couple of days ago I haven’t tested again my period was due yesterday / today but I’ve had times when my cycle has tricked me before so I’m not getting my hopes up! I will test Sunday if nothing

xx

s14a · 12/11/2022 07:53

Morning all.

Sorry to hear about all the BFNs!

I'm having a stress this morning because I don't think my frer looks any darker.

My one step does (mainly because the line completely disappeared yesterday after drying!)

What do you all think?
I'd rather prepare for a chemical pregnancy then be blindsided by a loss like this time last month!

AF arrived for me this morning so I’m out this month!

@MrsAlexander sorry to hear nothing for you this month, I hope next month brings better news.

I think I’m going to return to temping which is a hassle but give helpful information. I might invest in one of those tempdrop arm bands so I can avoid setting the alarm every day at 0545 for the next 6 months.

@s14a those tests look fine to me. Remember hydration will really affect them (they’re not blood tests) and HCG only doubles every two to three days.

vitahelp · 15/11/2022 12:39

I'm also definitely out, AF arrived on Saturday morning.

@s14a Have you done any more tests since your post above? I can't look at it too closely as I'm at work and people can see my screen (don't want any rumours starting!!) but I have heard that lines don't always progress as dramatically as expected. I tested every day for about 10 days after my BFP with DD, and I don't think it was always that different day to day.

@vitahelp
Yes I've done quite a few and progression looks really good now thank fully.
I was 6 weeks when I had my miscarriage but my lines are already darker than they were then!

@s14a Thats amazing news!! It must be such a relief, you can relax a bit now xx

Alittleknowledge · 19/11/2022 09:30

Hey all, I hope Aunty Flo treated you all kindly. I hope we get some more positive results this month coming, I know a lot of us here have been waiting a long time so here’s fingers crossed for some early Christmas pressies for us!

vitahelp · 21/11/2022 09:41

@Alittleknowledge Hiya! I'm also hoping for some good news on the thread in December! I feel like the disappointment might be hard this time as it would be so nice to have the good news for Christmas, but also hoping I can console myself if it doesn't happen knowing that I've got plenty to keep busy with/look forward to over Christmas and also that I can enjoy a few drinks.

I'm CD10 today (usually ovulate around CD15) and had ewcm today so think it is time to start 'trying'. Feeling calm so far but it's early days!

Alittleknowledge · 26/11/2022 21:13

Hey all, I guess most of us are heading back into out two week wait again (or shortly). Hope to “see” some of you around on this thread again. Here’s to a lucky month!

vitahelp · 28/11/2022 08:41

Morning, I'm 3/4 dpo today. Hope everyone is doing ok.

@Alittleknowledge Are you in the 2WW now?

Alittleknowledge · 28/11/2022 19:45

@vitahelp yep back in the TWW for me! I’m around 2DPO based off ovulation test strips, (might be 3 as I didn’t temp this month due to where my night shifts are so I’m not certain). I’ve got a relaxing couple of weeks planned so I hope that is in my favour!

How are the rest of you getting on? Are you joining again this month @MrsAlexander ?

niknaks37 · 28/11/2022 23:32

Hey, I'm joining back in for the next 2ww. Currently 6dpo possibly 7, weirdly increased appetite last night and this evening , also super thirsty. BBs are sore since 4dpo usually a hormone related sign. Heres hoping this month brings us all an early christmas present.

SillyOldBear3 · 28/11/2022 23:50

1dpo here.. had the most painful ovulation cramps yesterday night, accompanied by 3 very sharp stabbing pains, so strange. My luteal phase is 11 days so period due 8th December. Good luck everyone!

vitahelp · 29/11/2022 08:08

@Alittleknowledge Sounds good! I did temp charting and test strips this month, but starting to think the test strips are more reliable as my temps have been a bit odd this month and it has set my coverline really high.

@niknaks37 Welcome back! Oo you're quite far into the 2ww. I hope those are all good signs that this is your month!

@SillyOldBear3 I had quite bad ovulation cramping this month too. I don't usually notice it that much, not sure if it usually happens when I'm asleep whereas this time was at work.

whatnots2015 · 29/11/2022 10:32

Hello everyone
It's lovely to catch up with messages, I'm sorry I haven't been here for a couple of weeks. We've been TTC for three years, I'm kinda used to not talking about it!
Here's hoping for lots of BFPs and continuing pregnancies.
My most recent visit from AF lasted only two days but I'm in my early 40s so should perhaps expect that kind of thing. I thought I'd had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago as I had a late and excruciating period but again variations in cycle length are to be expected at my advanced age! It feels a bit weird not to know for sure.
No TTC recently as I've had that cough that everyone's got and been off work and somewhat housebound.
I'm still getting around to talking to husband about fertility treatments. He's autistic so I have to pick a moment when there's not too much else going on and of course there's been rather a lot going on in the world over the last three years since we started TTC!

vitahelp · 01/12/2022 07:40

Morning ladies! 7 dpo here and feeling distinctly normal. Managing quite well to keep my expectations low this cycle and excited about Christmas plans which is a good distraction!

@whatnots2015 I hope you're feeling better soon, I've managed to avoid the dreaded cough so far but it's probably a matter of time. I hope you can manage to have the chat with your husband when the time is right.

@niknaks37 You must be 9/10dpo now, how are you feeling? Do you plan to take any tests or prefer to wait for AF?

BirdIsland · 03/12/2022 10:31

Hi everyone, not checked in here for a while as I've been trying to not really think too much about TTC this month. I'm 10DPO and did a temp check this morning, it's right down just on cue for AF arriving tomorrow, so I'm out this month.

I contacted my GP 5 weeks ago about an appt (I'm 40 and have shorter LP than previously so want to see if everything's working ok!) but they are apparently taking 5-6 weeks to even review the information I sent in, never mind actually arranging an appointment ☹️

Congrats to those who have BFPs and good luck to those in the TWW 🤞
