@mummatara try and hold off for as long as poss, think it helps that I don’t know when I ovulated so don’t want to get upset over a bfn if I’m only 4dpo🤣🤣 I’ve got a drs appt on the 24th so if I don’t come on before will test then for defo xx

hello everyone! I had a miscarriage about 3 months ago which was devastating as I was 14 weeks. We are now on our third month of trying again but this month has been slightly different compared to the previous ones.

Normally I ovulate on day 14. This month I ovulated on day 11 (clear blue showed static smiley and I had ovulation cramps but little mucus). We ttc’ed quite abit before, on the day and a day after.

I thought I’d test again once static smiley went and it showed blank face.

but on the day of my ‘supposed’ ovulation which was Wednesday (day 14) I saw quite a bit of mucus and tested with clear blue again. And it was high fertility flashing smiley! I’ve been testing twice a day since then and I’ve been seeing flashing smileys all the time. I’m Im so confused!! Does this mean the previous ovulation did not count and that I will ovulate soon? I am now on day 19!

@FfayeN that's really interesting - I hadn't ever considered both ovaries could be on the left 🤯 It's easy to forget how small/close everything is in there!

@Mumbrava So sorry for your loss. I don't know the answer definitively, but my understanding is that it's possible to ovulate twice in one cycle so maybe that's it?!

@Bubblesandballoons FRER? I am 7dpo today and think this is the first cycle in a long time that I haven’t wasted a test so early. Don’t feel like I’m going to waste one tomorrow either… but don’t hold me to it 🙈I only have cheapies so telling myself the early BFN will only bring negative vibes! 💪🏼

@ChickenT2b yeah it was a first response. I normally have a whisper if not a line by then, so going to save myself the heartache and not test unless Af doesn’t come now. Well done for not testing, it’s so hard isn’t it 😂. I was impressed I got to 9dpo. I think next month I’m going to really try to just wait till af. Knowing a few days earlier will just give me more time to worry anyway and saves the heartbreak of seeing that negative test. Fingers crossed for you and sending you strength to not test early 💪🏼.

I am really sorry for your loss, especially at 14 weeks that's devastating.

I think post mc or mmc many things could become irregular, your body still adjusting to from pregnant to not pregnant and hormones could be unpredictable. It could be a situation LH went up and down and up again and ovulation happened once. (maybe the later timing?) that's my best guess.
I had similar experiences and perhaps other ladies on this thread. Don't worry too much and don't put too much pressure on yourselves/your body for ttc.

@Mumbrava I don't think you're meant to use the ClearBlue thing again once you've had the static smiley as it then thinks you're in another cycle so wouldn't be accurate.

@Mumbrava sorry for your loss ❤️ I've also heard what @TheBirdintheCave about not using them after static. I always stopped them once I got a static. Think someone else suggested using strip opks if you want to carry on testing after which is a good shout.

@TheBirdintheCave thanks lovely I'm not sure it's done it yet 🤔 no temp rise but I do always get a slow rise and it was higher than yesterdays but yesterdays was abnormally low 🤷🏼‍♀️ and now I've written that out it's just occurred to me I get a temp drop usually at ovulation 🤣 bloody hell my brain atm is shocking. DS decided he wouldn't go to bed until 10pm I needed some down time so went to bed at 11.30 couldn't get to sleep DS woke up screaming at 12 and didn't go back to sleep until 3am. God I hope no one wants any sense out of me today 😂

@ChloeN that sounds very sensible lovely. I'm always like oh I'm going to be so chill about it this time and the closer it gets to something happening the worse I get over what could be happening 🤦🏼‍♀️

@ChickenT2b 6DPO 😅 was thinking I’d hold out until 9 days? So hard but getting the BFN is even harder isn’t it :/

weird question but since my mc, my skin has been ridiculous- such hormonal breakouts. Has anyone else noticed this? I think my face just really reflects the hormonal chaos that went on but just curious if it’s just me 😂♥️

@mummatara awful isn’t it, tbh I’ve had loads of watery cm today and cramps so I’m probably only now ovulating 🤣 going to have to crack the LH strips out

@Babydustmamma my skin just seems mega oily since, it’s annoying I feel like a teenager😂😂

Thank you, it was devastating. It was a missed miscarriage and I found out at an ultrasound appointment. It feels like the only way I could move on is falling pregnant. Nearly everyone I know is either pregnant or just had a baby…which doesn’t help because I’m constantly reminded of my loss.

maybe i will ovulate late so I’m still checking twice a day and still nothing. I’m day 20. I’m guessing if I don’t ovulate soon then it means the first ovulation was the real one? And the flashing smiley faces were just my hormones or the clear blue acting up. Wishful thinking 😔

Hi ladies, please can I join? Bit of background - we've been TTC for over 2 years and are unexplained. I've recently been through my first IVF round which was a fresh transfer. Got a BFP for the first time in my life, which sadly ended at 6 weeks (only found out as I went for an early scan as I hadn't bled at that point). I had a bleed about a week later which I counted as day 1. I'm CD16 now and haven't ovulated yet per my LH sticks. Has anyone had this before? I usually have 28 day cycles and would have ovulated by now. Does having a MC delay ovulation or can you have an anovulatory cycle? I haven't had any EWCM or anything to indicate that I'm even close to ovulation.

Sorry to hear about your loss @Tinkerbell098 I think our pregnancies maybe ended around the same stage. I should of been roughly 8 weeks but scan showed 6 weeks but by the time I had the scan I started having light bleeding the day before. That was my second mc. I’m currently cd39 after the Mc and I don’t think I’ve ovulated yet (negative pt today too). I think your body can try a couple times to ovulate after mc so your cycle might be messed up while your hormones try to settle. Have you a negative pt? Hopefully your cycles return to normal soon… or hopefully don’t return and you get pregnant this cycle fingers crossed!

@Tinkerbell098 I always thought I’d ovulate straight after mc but I didn’t, and honestly I think it’s normal! Your body’s been through a lot so I guess it takes a little time to regulate again! I got ewcm maybe day 17/18 of my cycle straight after but nothing much and don’t think I actually ovulated. Hopefully you’ll either ovulate or get AF very soon so you can start again! Xxx

@Luna57 @ChloeN thanks ladies. When I rang EPU today, they said it may take 4-6 weeks so I will see what happens in the next few weeks. Very eager to get my frozen transfer (I've only got one in the freezer) done pre-Christmas, but I'll have to patient and let my body heal first. I used to temp to track ovulation before IVF, but can't seem to find my thermometer as I gave all that up just before I started treatment. Thought it would be good to see what happens, but I think I'll have to give it some time. So sorry about your losses. It's just so heart breaking. We are all warriors! Hope you girls are doing ok now X

@Mumbrava ugh I can so completely relate to this. I can’t lie, I still feel like the only way to be truly over it is getting pregnant and I’m on month 5 after my mc, but I am learning to not be so angry with my body anymore and not put so much pressure on myself. I recently realised I’d been focusing so much on getting pregnant again as a way of feeling better that I wasn’t actually letting myself fully grieve the loss at all, and since feeling some of those feelings I’ve felt a little progress ♥️ Sending lots of love to you x

@Tinkerbell098 sorry about your loss. For info, I ovulated at CD23, counting from the first day of my MC. I think it can still happen. I mc at just under 6 weeks. Good luck xx

@Babydustmamma mine is watery atm. I'm 7 dpo today and every now and again get a mini flood. I'm also nearly sure I got a squinter on a one step today. I had it saved to my phone but my pictures go to DH iPad so deleted it in a panic but time will tell.

Mines not clear (white/pale yellowish) atm so I’m thinking it’s likely going to be a BFN. I’ve been searching through mums net and it all seems pretty mixed 😅 feel like I’ve gone round in a loop of what is a promising sign!

@Babydustmamma backache and period pain for 2 days which vanished last night. I had really achy boobs too but again vanished today. But the boob ache is creeping in again this last hr 🤷‍♀️ I've gone off chocolate too. I'm off today so I'm driving myself mad 😂 I'll test properly on Sunday at 12 dpo thank god I'm working the rest of the week 😅
