apologies if some of you have had their BFP/ still waiting for it - missed people (I know there’s a few) - I took this from the June thread 💖

@Babydust99 that would be good if you could do that, I am a worrier so I like data and to know things, I would sit wondering if I missed my critical days…
tbh I don’t know if there is such a thing as a relaxed approach when u want something so badly 😭
I wanted to be pregnant before my due date of November 8th and if it doesn’t happen this cycle then that won’t happen. I don’t feel confident about this as I’m 5dpo and feel nothing, so I’m confident I’m going to be out anyways.
ttc is so hard 😭

Hopping over from June thread. AF due today, will be cycle 14 of TTac#3. Had a ruptured ectopic 2years ago also so only have one tube, and I’m 35. I’ve done some progesterone ‘day 21’ bloods which are very hit and miss so not confident I’m ovulating regularly, had a scan a few months ago and all looks normal. DS1 was totally unplanned, DS2 took 6 cycles and ectopic was having sex once between stopping pill and having coil put in 😬😬 so why is it taking so long!!!

Babydust99 · 17/10/2022 07:34

@NSx yes I'm much the same but feel like I need to try the relaxed approach this time round and see what happens. I've everything crossed for you that this is your month 🙏 ttc is crazy hard even my dp said that last cycle

Babydust99 · 17/10/2022 07:35

@Mummyme87 I think the more we want it and stress about it, the longer it takes 🙈 I'm trying the relaxed approach this month of just dtd whenever we feel like it

NSx · 17/10/2022 08:44

@Mummyme87 honestly I don’t know why this is so hard and takes forever… I’m onto cycle 4 myself and I don’t feel confident that it will happen anytime soon!

@Babydust99 i wish I could relax and let whatever needs to happen happen, but honestly it’s hard not to stress and worry isn’t it? 😭😭😭 an absolute emotional rollercoaster 🥹

3dpo here and this tww is annoying already! I'm glad I used opks this month though, as I actually ovulated 3 days later than I expected. If I hadn't have been testing, I would probably have missed my most fertile days!

I think don't think this is the month though. After so long on this journey I'm starting to think it will never happen naturally 😒 Has anyone else considered IVF yet? Im
Really not sure when to consider that as a serious option

Mummyme87 · 17/10/2022 09:43

So AF came literally just after I posted my message this morning. CD1, here we go again. I expect Ov 13/10 and AF 11/11 based on last few cycles. I’m taking conceive plus, extra vit D & C, CoQ10 and omega 3. Not sure if I’ll continue taking starflower oil this cycle, and I think I’ll add extra vit B complex as apparently that helps in the luteal phase and what your body needs for progesterone. OH takes conceive plus, high levels of vit C&D (the latter for a health condition). I used CB digi from around CD7 and easy@home OPK from about CD8/9.

@NSx I’m very much at the point where I can’t imagine getting a BFP. I know it can happen at any time but just feel like somethings not right anymore. Something has changed in the last 2yrs. I’m not getting my covid booster (as a HCP) whilst ttc as I’m anxious how it will affect my cycles, they’ve only just stabilised.

@FieldView i cannot consider IVF. I have two children already so not eligible for help from NHS and financially it’s just not feasible, plus I don’t think OH would want to go down that route.

Harriet669 · 17/10/2022 09:53

Hi can I join?
On cycle 10 TTC first baby! Currently on CD13, I have very irregular periods and painful ovulation so doing our best to DTD! @Mummyme87 sorry to hear about AF, I've been taking high dose vitD vitC and b12 and it's helped my luteal phase loads

FieldView · 17/10/2022 10:39

@Mummyme87 sorry to hear AF has arrived. It's so hard when you're doing everything you can, and it just isn't happening, isn't it.

We also wouldn't qualify for IVF on the NHS as my DH has children from a previous relationship. I'm being referred to the NHS fertility clinic, but I'm seriously thinking it might be time to start exploring private IVF. No idea how we'd afford it though!

And welcome @Harriet669!

Mummyme87 · 17/10/2022 10:56

@FieldView its so expensive private fertility. My GP said she can refer me to nhs fertility after 12months, which would be end of October. They will say… lose weight. My bmi is over 30 so they wouldn’t even help with Clomid as far as I’m aware. I feel my issue is I’m not ovulating very much, and I think clomid is the drug for that.
I am losing weight slowly but can’t imagine ever really getting bmi that low again.

BethSuz27 · 17/10/2022 13:41

6dpo today and have this really odd like achey chest feeling since last night ? I wouldn’t say it’s my boobs that ache it’s more like underneath? But if my boobs are touched they then ache after if that makes sense? I don’t know how to describe it but just wondered if anyone else has had this? And generally just achey all over…:

had a lot of pulley abdominal cramps yesterday, a sniffly nose in the mornings and evenings since yesterday, I feel so so different this cycle, I don’t want to get my hopes up though

NSx · 17/10/2022 13:50

@Mummyme87 sorry that AF has come, it’s so disappointing isn’t it, tbh if your 12 months comes now and u can get referred then I would encourage that, maybe they can check bloods and semenalysis too to pinpoint any issues …
@FieldView remind me again what cycle this is for you, it’s really heartbreaking having that feeling that it’s not happening - but you just never know. 💕
@Harriet669 welcome 💕💖 have you fell pregnant at all? Or is this still your first try altogether ?

@BethSuz27 im 5dpo and have absolutely no symptoms 😂😅😅😅 never had any of the stuff you’re having 😂😅🥹

Can I join please? Come on summer baby 🥺😍 I'm really trying to manifest this month! How is everyone feeling? Is anyone near ovulation? Sorry to those that have just been visited by AF, it's so disheartening. Lots of love xx

NSx · 17/10/2022 14:00

@Glawen ofcourse - welcome ❣️ I’m 5dpo - where are u this month?

OP posts:
Mummyme87 · 17/10/2022 14:03

@NSx I’ve had bloods done already, had FSH/LH done twice in last 6months and normal, progesterone three times - once looks like I ovulated, once borderline and once unlikely. Thyroid normal. Scan normal. I’m reluctant to think it’s semen issues as we’ve fallen pregnant three times easily (not impossible I know, but less likely). I feel it’s me, I’m 35 (almost 36), BMI is 35 (last pregnancy it was also, but prior was 30-33.

just been chatting to a friend and I think after I’ve had a pause to allow for my sisters wedding next year I may venture in to a fertility assessment and see. I won’t do IVF but if it’s meds for ovulation that’s a possibility. We will see and keep trying for now. Thanks for the support ladies xx

FieldView · 17/10/2022 14:35

@NSx I've been off the pill for just over two years, and I think this is cycle 13/14 of trying (taking into account pregnancy, miscarriage and recover!). The rest of the time we haven't tried but have just tried the "relax and see what happens approach", so probably cycle 20 in total 🤷🏻‍♀️

@BethSuz27 Im afraid I e never really experienced the symptoms you're having, but hopefully it's promising!

Roxybabe · 17/10/2022 14:48

Hi ladies, this is cycle 4 for me for first baby. CD15 today, had my positive OPK yesterday so hopefully O day today or tomorrow!! I’m not BBTing this month as I hate watching my temp drop back down the day AF comes, Puts me in a bad mood so just doing OPKs this month and will estimate O day as today. Anybody else just about to enter 2ww? Dreading it already 😂😩

Glawen · 17/10/2022 15:00

@NSx lovely to chat to you again! I'm CD 10 today, which is around ovulation for me. I haven't tracked anything this month and am just going with the flow to see if that helps with stress levels. Hope the TWW is kind to you hun xx

Glawen · 17/10/2022 15:02

@Roxybabe TTC#1 and cycle 4 for us too! O is today or tomorrow for me - 🙏🏼🤍 for us xx

Roxybabe · 17/10/2022 15:07

@glawen oh wow exactly the same! How are you feeling? I was super excited and naive first cycle, thought I would just fall straight away, not feeling as hopeful now!! But trying to stay positive!

Glawen · 17/10/2022 16:00

@Roxybabe omg me too. Then I found these threads and saw that it wasn't as simple as I thought 🤦🏽‍♀️ Hopefully it's our turn soon! Xx

Roxybabe · 17/10/2022 16:11

@glawen me too, as much as I like these threads and find them supportive, I find they can cause a little anxiety too… I think you just need to remember everyone is different and hust … just keep trying and ‘Most’ (think like 92%- I can’t remember the exact stats) couples fall within a year!

Babydust99 · 17/10/2022 20:32

@Glawen I'm thinking of trying that option this cycle too. Do you feel more relaxed?

NSx · 17/10/2022 22:05

@Mummyme87 ah ok, I don’t know much about fertility meds - is it expensive ?
ttc is just so hard 😭😭
@Glawen I would say it’s nice to see you here again but to be honest I wish you got your BFP and didn’t have to be here again 😭
how does it feel to not track, how is it not to be in control, do you feel less stressed?
@FieldView it’s mad that people go on the contraceptive pill to not get pregnant but then when u want to it doesn’t work or takes a billion light years 😭😭😭😭

OP posts:
Glawen · 17/10/2022 22:13

@Roxybabe definitely - and of course the BFP's can be difficult to see when having a bad day too, whilst also being so happy for others! Yes you're right, I was reading last night actually that each month couples have a 20% chance of catching. Hard to believe isn't it?! It does comfort me somewhat though that there's not necessarily something "wrong", it just may take more time than we thought 🤞🏼❤️

@Babydust99 I do actually. And I think the BD was massively placed around when I was ovulating, not knowing is a bit weird and I can only guess now but we've just BD every other day and done every day around ovulation (yesterday and today) DH is a shell of a man 🤣🤣 I think we are both a bit more relaxed not knowing so I'm glad I've done it this month.

@NSx Awww and me for you hun. I know it's coming for us soon 🥰🥰 I am more relaxed for sure, not knowing the days and dates initially was a bit weird but I'm keeping busy and distracted 🤞🏼 how are you feeling? X
