I’m also trying to chill out this cycle. I’m sure when TWW kicks in I’ll be symptom spotting all over the place.

def got positive opk today, so ovulation will be tomorrow. I’ve noticed I get quite a lot of cramps and pain before I ovulate

Thanks @yolo23 yeah for me testing before my period is due is just an anxiety spiral I needed to get off - but everyone has got to find their own way with it. I use ovulation tests to to try and narrow down the ovulation period because the NHS advice is to have sex every 2-3 days but with my son it took over a year to concieve and I am not sure I could keep up that pace :)

I'm trying to be more relaxed this month. I didn't do any ovulation tests just used my app and how I feel as a guide to DTD. I'm on cycle 8 of ttc and have been driving myself mad with all the testing, counting days etc. So I could be anywhere between 3 - 5 dpo and I like not knowing, although I'm symptom spotting already 🙈

@crumbs123 that sounds super sensible! I’m going to do the same to be honest.

@Judethepud its really tough going isn’t it! Especially when you do it what I’d call ‘text book’ and then have all the signs and it’s still a BFN!

@Yolo23 yep it really is. It's just so hard not to symptom spot during the TWW too and try to avoid disappointment every month.

Oh my gosh ladies… I’m due my smear this morning so took a test (2 days early). Also only booked a drs appt this week in readiness to discuss possible referral for IVF as I have endo and have struggled for YEARS but look… 😅😅😅 eeeeek I’m still on the toilet in shock 🤣 I’m uncertain whether to believe it but I can’t not can I!? Guessing I need to call to cancel my smear 😬😬😬😬

@Judethepud ahh thank you 🥰 genuinely it doesn’t seem real. My partner is out watching the Wales World Cup match today 🤣 so will have to tell him tomorrow. I can’t believe the operations I’ve had for my endo have worked!?

@LMM91x thank you!! It’s been MANY years coming in total but in reality not too long with my partner (had previous ops for endometriosis and was told I’d need IVF).
One thing I will say helped me was using the digital clear blue ovulation test!! Only used it once but it was so clear when to DTD. I’m 100% sure that helped as we were doing it COMPLETELY wrong times unintentionally using tracking apps..

@LMM91x eeeeek fingers crossed it’s our lucky month!! How many DPO are you and any signs? I kept saying we done it text book and I felt text book symptoms this month which was just WEIRD 🤣

@Yolo23 love it !! It’s so hard isn’t it, i’m 7 DPO and nothing to report really. TMI but pretty ‘wet’ down there but other than that not really, slightlt sore boobs maybe?? But my boobs aren’t really tell tale sign as they always ache before AF!! I’m not gonna test until AF is late and try and enjoy my weekend!!! Xxxxx. How are you feeling?!!! Xxxxx

@LMM91x I had that wetness you mentioned 🫣 I’d never had it before so not sure if that is a sign but it was noticeable. I’m the same with boobs - had sore boobs before AF for years! Biggest thing for me was strange twinges in my abdomen and spotting (like a gunky spotting - TMI lol). To be honest, I feel completely confused! Excited but I think this whole journey I’ve always prepared for it to never happen so until I have a scan and a slight belly, I’m not going to believe it.
I don’t know what to do with myself because I can’t tell anyone and partner is out so waiting until tomorrow is going to kill me!

@Yolo23 least you have us !!!! Oooo the gunky spotting sounds delightful..🤣🤣 i’ve never had any bleeding whatsoever outside of P so I think that would be a massive indicator for me. I’m at the stage of the cycle where I’m hoping to see some every time I wipe🤣

totally - and you see so many different peoples journeys and stories it must be really hard. But for now take a deep breath and take it all in!💕 it’s just so bloody exciting !!!!

@LMM91x haha it really was a delightful moment… but definitely made me question how normal this was 🤣 I kept a track of the symptoms and the twinges and spotting happened 10 DPO. I have also had stupid headaches this month and spent one evening from 6ish in bed lol! Felt snappy too which isn’t like me so I think there were plenty of signs.
well I’m supposed to be working 🫣 but I can’t concentrate so just busy wasting time and preparing how to tell my partner. I’ve taken a photo of our dog with the test and wrote a funny poem 😂 I’m sad I know lol.
we’re going to Dominican Republic now a week tomorrow… so a little anxious about that but I’m sure it’ll be fine!
I had a negative test at 10 dpo I think so we’re 13 dpo today - if that helps anyone at all! Xx

@Yolo23 omg the dog 😭😭😭 i love that so much, I think i’ll do something similar , god I just can’t wait for that moment. What lovely timing though (obv shame no cocktails) but you just get to be you two for a bit before the madness of Christmas / potentially telling people etc!!! You’ll have an amazing time!!

so interesting re testing isn’t it… such an absolute minefield !!! The days are literally lasting weeks, cannot believe i’m on 7dpo christ aliveeeeee. 13dpo !! I never get past 11dpo before AF arrives 😭 xx

@LMM91x haha I took a video of him with it and he kept trying to eat it the little bugger. Yeah I’m unsure what to do re. The parents etc but don’t think I can hold off too long as they know how hard it’s been in the past - they don’t know we’re trying so it’s going to be a HUGE shock. For info, I was in a 10 year relationship previous and we tried for over 2 years, just before referral to IVF our relationship broke down and I had an op where endometriosis was discovered. My ex said he’d never want anything other than his own children (so limited options)… my current partner who I was very honest with at the start and is honestly the love of my life, a month into our relationship (around 2.5 years ago) said he’d be happy however we get there (adoption etc) I was blown away that someone I’d just met had shown such kindness and understanding when my ex after 10 years didn’t even know if he’d be happy for IVF 🤣 crazy polar opposites but fingers crossed it has all worked out… xx wishing you the ABSOLUTE best of luck, it can happen clearly!

Congratulations @Yolo23 what wonderful news. I’m all for telling people early, it’s a celebration and I want people to know. Plus if there were any issues I would like the support. Telling family after my ectopic surgery was hard as no one knew I was pregnant.

I’m 1dpo today! Back on the train. Have a busy weekend ahead, and am going to try and not think about it. I’ve really chilled out this cycle, at 16 cycles in, no matter how much I symptom spot, check my cervix, stare at tissues… it’s a negative. Probably me giving up hope but I can’t continue thinking I’m pregnant every single cycle.

has anyone had any good Black Friday bargains this week? I’ve got some bits, Sonos have 20% off so I got DH the sonos Beam as he’s wanted it for ages and I had a selfridges voucher that was burning a hole in my pocket
