Planning for TTC & waiting for 1st period 🩸

Wondered if anyone else is stopping their pill and fancies a thread for planning TTC and keeping eachother company while waiting for ovulation/1st period?

DP & I have decided to TTC baby 2. Our DS is 14m. He was conceived 1st cycle, within 2 weeks of stopping the pill, v lucky.

I'm still breastfeeding (3-4 times during the day, no overnight feeds now) and just come off cerelle. With BF in the mix no idea how long it's going to take for my cycles to return... I'm 37 so I'm hoping it's going to be fast!

First timers welcome too 🙂 when I got my BFP it was really handy and reassuring being on a thread with people who'd already had a baby.

@HoppingTiger thank you! It’s strange - I don’t quite know how to feel even though I’m super excited I’m also quite stunned it happened so quickly and worried it’s too good to be true!

I would definitely pursue the job, even if if gives you peace of mind for a couple of months to stop TTC - your body will at least get itself back into its normal rhythm during those couple of months and be ready to go again when you’re settled xx

I’ve been OPK testing for a week now, I have consistently low readings!

Were you expecting it to be your time to ovulate yet?

I'm sure these things take time to settle 🤗

@Charlotte1256 cycle number 4 here, AF just finished. Actually feeling surprisingly positive. Conceived my little boy on the third month so I did sort of set out with that as my timescale from the start and now I’ve gone over it I would of thought I would have taken it worse than I did 🙈 I actually don’t think we’ve been ‘trying’ enough the last few months so next week I’m going to aim for every second day to start with then every day as ovulation approaches. It will be a nightmare of a month to get pregnant though as I’d find out mid December then have to lie on my Christmas nights out as to why I’m not drinking and would have to probably tell family very early or just pretend to drink on Christmas Day 🤣

@BCxx I’m glad you’re feeling positive! Fingers crossed for this month 🤞🏼 I know what you mean about having to lie/tell people at awkward times.
I’m 6 weeks pregnant today following the dates from my LMP, but I’ve already had to tell a lot of people at work because of my job & I just feel overwhelmed with anxiety about it all!

@Charlotte1256 glad it’s going well! Are you going to have an early scan? I told my work early last time but they really did nothing to help me whatsoever so I don’t even know if I’d bother this time 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have that blood type where you need the anti D injection if anything bumps you or you bleed so thought I should tell them in case I needed to rush off to the hospital for any reason but I remember just thinking I wish I hadn’t bothered 🙈 at least you’ll be quite far on by Christmas, you’ll be nearly 12 weeks will you not?

@BCxx thank you!! Yeah we’re going for a private early scan next weekend at 7 weeks 🤞🏼 & I’ll be 12 weeks on New Years Eve ☺️

Still waiting for my first period! On day 22 so realistically I know that's not long but it feels like an age!
How long did you have to wait for yours..?

@TobySpaniel it arrived on day 32 for me finally! I’m sure it was nearer day 40 last time I came off the pill 🤦🏼‍♀️

@TobySpaniel my period arrived exactly 5 weeks after stopping the pill x

Never been so happy to see my period! Day 33 it arrived, so TTC is a go! So very excited!
