Hey ladies! Hoping I can join you! I’m TTC after a miscarriage 7 weeks ago. Had a positive ovulation test on the 15th and DTD that day (and also 2 days before). Having some very light spotting today and REALLY hoping it’s implantation. Period isn’t due for another week 🀞🏼

Thank you. Not sure whether I’m getting my hopes up though. Also had some cramping 2 or 3 days ago which felt like ovulation pain. Not sure if you have cramping with implantation?

@Rose559 i think you can but I’m not sure I’ve been pregnant before but never noticed tbh ..
good luck 🀞✨ I hope this is your month

Saved this from the last thread!

@nypie I ovulated on cd26 and this is cd32 and AF has arrived πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I have only just stopped the pill though so will put it down to that and hope it’s normal after this

@Cm078 yeah it’s mad how easy it happens for some people and they don’t even realise for weeks after so takes weeks off the first 12 weeks of worrying/waiting! I only stopped the pill at the end of last month so was my first cycle and originally had planned to just let this cycle pass but couldn’t help myself when I started testing πŸ™ˆ was worth a shot anyway! We conceived on the third cycle last time and that felt like ages but really it wasn’t at all!

AF has definitely arrived πŸ˜₯ jeez, forgot how bad the first day of it was! Only 2 weeks(ish) til we can try again.. woo πŸ™„πŸ˜‚πŸŽ‰

Hi,

New to all this so not sure if I’m posting on the right thread but hoping to chat to some likeminded people!

My husband and I have been trying for our first baby since August 2021 (we’re both 34). Not even the faintest possibility of a positive test. After 6 months, I went to the GP. I’ve had numerous tests and most of them have come back normal except borderline for Free Androgen Index and several inconclusive progesterone tests. The GP suspected PCOS but no evidence of it on a scan.

I really thought this month was it. We tried the sperm meets egg plan, I’ve started taking COQ10 as well as Seven Seas and Omega 3 which I’ve been taking since we started trying. Didn’t have any of my usual pre-menstrual symptoms and had some spotting yesterday and this morning which I don’t normally get. Been having really vivid dreams as well which I know can be a sign. Was all geared up to take a First Response test tomorrow morning and then got my period this afternoon, 3 days early. I ovulated on CD16 and got my period on CD26 so bit worried that I’ve got a short luteal phase and my progesterone levels aren’t high enough. I’ve rang the doctors but can’t get an appointment for another month and we’re waiting on an appointment for my husband’s sperm analysis before our referral to the fertility clinic.

it’s no exaggeration when I say every single one of my friends is a mum. Today I really could have done with a brew and a cry with a pal but all of my friends will have been doing school/nursery pick ups. I also find on the rare occasions I do mention how hard I’m finding things, they don’t know what to say. One friend has implied I’m mentally unwell because of the emotional toll it’s taking on me. I’m not but I think that shows the lack of understanding and isolation I’m feeling. I’m lucky in that my husband is wonderfully supportive while dealing with his own feelings of disappointment that he’s not a dad yet. But I wish I had someone to talk to. I’m starting to feel invisible.

sorry for long message and lack of acronyms-I don’t understand how it all works yet! Thanks for reading if you made it this far!

@Booklover88 im so sorry that you’re feeling this way … ttc is mentally exhausting & no-one really gets that unless they’ve been through it themselves …
I can totally relate to you as most of my friends have children and I don’t yet … I was pregnant and lost my girl at the end of may at 17.5 wks and I now am terrified it won’t happen again as this is my third cycle …
im sure some ladies can explain about the more technical stuff - I know the basics only but i feel Im learning more and more the more this ttc journey goes on…
its ok to feel how you’re feeling πŸ’•πŸ’• this is a safe space so feel free to come here and vent ✨ sending you lots of baby dust.

Thank you so much for your speedy reply. I’m so so sorry to hear about your loss-can’t imagine how painful that must be.

Your message made me cry (although I’ve been doing a lot of that this evening!) One of the first times I’ve really felt heard and that someone understands what I’m going through. Thank you so much ❀️ Fingers crossed for us next month xx

Hi thankyou for adding me!!

I have had cramps all evening so thinking AF is coming which makes me feel a little relieved as I kept getting negatives and knew I wasn’t pregnant and now I have another cycle to try (fingers crossed!)

does anyone have any tips for conception?

@Booklover88 its no problem at all… this entire process is really an emotional rollercoaster that nobody prepares you for as you always just imagine it will happen straight away… yes it’s been a tough time for me but I’m getting through it & it sometimes helps to speak about it a but thank you 😊
it seemed to happen so effortlessly for all my friends who have multiple children, but the reality is it can take some time….
im expecting AF on Tuesday, so I’ll know for sure if I’m out this month but I have no symptoms so I’m not hopeful …
i too am using supplements, eating well, less alcohol and caffeine and it almost seems the harder you try the less it happens …
you need to try to stay positive ❀️ this group is full of lovely ladies who are really supportive ❣️

@Sparklythings1 Yes or contraception fails at exactly the right time of the month with only a 3% chance of it failing at all!!
Oh no, sorry to hear AF has arrived. Mine wont be long, getting cramps now. πŸ˜”
Same here, took us 3/4 cycles too. The month we conceived was the month I didn't test ovulation and we used conceive plus lube. I think it's all just down to luck really!

@NSx thank you for the add!

Af due on Tuesday so I'm just riding out this cycle and waiting for the next one.

@Booklover88 it is definitely a very difficult journey for some. I've been ttc since Jan 2021, and also had all the usual tests last year. Finally got a bfp in November which ended in mc, and then nothing since then. My besties seem to be popping out babies left, right and centre, and I'm so thankful for this group - it reminds me that my journey is as "normal" as anyone else's! It's no consolation right now I'm sure, but our time will come (and then we'll be on here complaining about the school run πŸ˜‚)

@Booklover88 big hugs πŸ’ž we've been ttc for nearly 12 months now (with 2 MCs along the way) it's been the hardest year, you never think you're going to be on this difficult journey. Sending lots of baby dust to you and everyone on here ✨

@Booklover88 sorry to hear your struggling! Its so hard when all your friends are mums! I really recommend the β€˜big fat negative’ podcast, its hosted by these 2 girls who struggled to conceive, its informative and funny and makes you realise you are not alone!

I worry sometimes about progesterone as I spot a day or 2 before my periods due some months but it’s hard to find if there is any actual evidence that thats true! Xx

@ChloeN ive been having what feels like hip/leg pain, you know the kind of throbbing you get after you’ve did a long walk and been on your feet all day.
i think it’s just my mind trying to find some sort of symptom because I feel nothing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ will you test ?
I think I’m just going to try and wait it out… if my AF doesn’t come Tuesday I Will test, but tbh, I will probably get some AF signs by tomorrow or Monday 😒

@ChloeN @NSx totally just waiting for af. Tested at 10dpo and negative (pointless test) and no symptoms since then to suggest I might be pregnant. I'm probably just going to wait for af now and maybe test again if it's late (or if I get any crazy symptoms in the next 48hrs!).

Trying to stay positive and mentally prepare for next cycle.
