I BBT so had my spike on CD 18. Got my peak OPK on CD 16.

I was actually away on holiday last weekend with copious amounts of alcohol, but only 1/2 DPO then!

symptom wise I wrote stuff down every day, I had:
wet cm around 5/6 DPO
tender boobs from 5 DPO (I usually get this before AF but I had a feeling it was a bit earlier than normal.)
hungry really quickly after eating.
I was quite tired but I put that down to post holiday return to work.
I had twinges and cramps from 4 DPO and have had every day.
I felt really sick/nervous/anxious in the afternoon 7 DPO and came home from work a bit early to lie down.

I have anxiety anyway so I’m never really sure if it’s nausea or my anxiety! 😂

Thank you so much for all your replies. Been sat in bed reading them this morning feeling much less alone than I did yesterday. I’m a teacher and have worked at my school a long time-I get asked on a weekly basis if we’re thinking of having children with people not knowing that that’s basically all I think about!

Really hope there’s some positive news for us all soon and my heart really does go out to those of you who have suffered losses. I think you’re all so brave and strong. Lots of warriors in this group!

First time posting but have been lurking!

2nd cycle since coming off pill (July).

1st cycle was a chemical that was absolute agony, never known any pain like it, I didn’t even test but ED did I went as thought I had a ruptured appendix or torsion as was rolling around the floor screaming and vomiting from the pain. Im glad to have to have that behind me!

2nd cycle now. AF due Tuesday and 99.9% sure she’s on her way, I’m getting period cramps today. 2 x BFNs yesteday and today. DTD 3 days before ovulation so knew chances were slim.

I just wish she’d hurry up and come so I can try again. All my closest friends are pregnant, everyone I know is pregnant or has kids now. It’s a pretty lonely place to be, even though I’m very new to this. I felt the need to post as I can see some of you in the exact same position as me, right down to dates!

@skyofdiamonds yes you’re not alone!💗 I really thought I’d of got my period early by my cramps last night! Wish I didn’t symptom spot so much🤣

if I’m not pregnant this cycle I think I’m going to take a break from ovulation tests and just go with it! I felt really obsessed with them this cycle🤦🏻‍♀️

Welcome to @Rose559 and @Booklover88 how are you both today?

I am on CD8 so we have commenced the BD. Six days out from ovulation still. I’m feeling excited but almost nervous. Right now it feels like there is potential and hope.

I’m 8 DPO now, no more spotting today so seems quite positive. Not going to test for a little while though! We DTD CD 16 and 18 and day 18 was when I got the positive ovulation test so assuming I ovulated CD 19 or 20. Before my miscarriage ovulation was CD 9-10 so a big difference!

I told myself I wouldn’t be obsessed, but here I am… being obsessed!
I also keep thinking it’s going to come early! I don’t want it to but also want it out the way!
I haven’t done ovulation tests yet but I can tell from CM and my body screaming at me to DTD when i ovulated!

I also keep getting questions at work from colleagues about when is it my turn to have kids/am I going to etc, so I just answer no, then get aww maybe just get another dog instead then!
I absolutely detest it and have no idea how to answer them, I don’t know what people want to hear when they ask that.

@skyofdiamonds I know the feeling I get asked pretty much everyday if I want kids and when! I know people are just making conversation but it’s so bloody annoying 🤣🤣 I always get comments like oh make the most of doing this before you have kids, or you’ll understand when you’ve had them🙄

Congratulations @LavenderWillow !! So thrilled for you! What cycle is this do you mind me asking and did you do anything different?

I thought AF was coming yesterday but not here yet… I’m 9 days late and really just want her to come so I can start with the next cycle, it’s CD32 and I’m usually 20-24 day cycles, so frustrating but trying to forget about it so I don’t stress myself out!

@Cm078 I was quite surprised when reading the odds of getting pregnant in the first year and saw the first month can be as high as a 38% chance which is quite good odds I’d say! Within the first three months is 70 odd % so that would be true for us! I used preseed last time but did track ovulation. This time I’m trying not to be so regimented with dtd every night like we did last time but I am still doing ovulation tests constantly so its not like it makes me relax any 😂

@LavenderWillow congratulations ! Amazing 🎉 hope it all goes well. I’m an anxious person too. I wasn’t sick til 8 weeks last time but I do think most of it was in my head, I’d get up in the morning and think about being sick then urgently need to be sick because I couldn’t stop thinking I was going to be 🙄 I was always fine if I could get past the bathroom and downstairs for something to eat

@skyofdiamonds jeez that sounds awful, so sorry. I’m always terrified of having a chemical but think if I don’t test too early maybe I just wouldn’t know but there’s clearly no avoiding that ☹️ I came off the pill last month and just got my first proper period yesterday. We did slightly try last month but had originally planned just to let that cycle pass before trying so I wasn’t too gutted. Just feel like I’m wishing the time away to be able to be back to the time when we can try again

It’s ridiculous how many people think it’s fine to ask about people’s extremely personal circumstances! I watched a video the other day that said ‘reproduction is not small talk’ and I thought that’s so true. You literally have no idea what people’s situation is and it’s so hard to kind of brush off the conversation quickly when you’re trying. I have a little boy already but feel like that just opens the flood gates to the comments. Since going back to work I’ve had people outright ask if I’m having another one, when I’ll have another one etc and I think every time, that comment appeared fine to ask in their mind but how do they know I haven’t had a miscarriage last week? 🤦🏼‍♀️ It puts people in such an awkward position

Hey all, I’m just popping in from the first thread.
Firstly, congratulations to
those who have their BFP and my absolute best baby dust wishes to those of you waiting and hoping.

I’m out this month, period arrived, 4 days early, hot and heavy in the middle of Macdonalds - thank you body for betraying me whilst I indulged in diet cancelling crap!

I think it’s time I took a break from all of this, I’m feeling too obsessive about it all - everyone failed cycle feels like a loss and I have really struggled to be happy for friends and not really jealous and angry on hearing the news that they are expecting twins 11 months after baby no.1. And they’re in their 40s and have conceived naturally… Which isn’t me at all, usually I’d be utterly delighted for them.

I’ve told myself I can continue to be on the site, I just can’t be reading and engaging in the threads I have been until I find balance.

@ExcitedandNervousC1 thank you! I feel incredibly lucky as it was only cycle 2 of trying and really the first proper one, as the month before we just DTD once before ovulation because of shift schedules.

we dtd every other day from about CD 11 I think!
hoping it’s a sticky as I realise how common chemicals and MMCs can be!

@Whyismycatanasshat i get that- I feel like that some days, it comes in waves - unfortunately the want and need for a baby is all consuming 😩 and it makes u question your ability to conceive when it doesn’t happen automatically like it seems to for some people, trust me I feel that so much!

take time away, do what you have to do for your own mental health…

First time posting 😬 Four month of TTC. 8 DPO, Ovulated 16th September - DTD 12th, 13th and 16th so fingers crossed. I had a fertility prediction back in August that said October and look out for numbers 1,9 and 25 so I'm praying to test on the 1st for my BFP!

I've been trying for many years for a baby, miscarriages and MMC but trying to be focussed for now. Baby dust to all of you ✨

@Cm078 it’s just another one of these fertility friendly lubricants but we’re trying without this time. He was 1 in June. I didn’t expect I would want another until he was 3 or something as I felt like being pregnant was really stressful and just full of so much worry but my mind changed when he turned 1. I think when you realise the fact it takes 9 months to get a baby here plus conception time (and you never know how long itl take), I just thought now was the best time to start trying

@MrsAlexander sorry you’ve had bad experiences so far ❤️ This is so interesting, really hope it’s true for you!

@Sparklythings1 The fertility prediction I felt a bit daft doing like "is someone really going to be able to tell me after all this time?!" But her reviews were good so I did it. I've wanted to believe but time will tell. There's something different about this month, I can't put my finger on it. It's just hard to not worry that I've invented this all in my head and AF is coming but I'll update this thread either way! x
