Good morning! I've not posted on MN for a while as trying to take a more laid back approach but let's face it that doesn't work anymore than anxiously rabbit holeing your way through a cycle either.

I am coming to the end of cycle 2083626480 and I have had all the usual period symptoms! Everything seemed to come together nicely this time so it's another disappointing month. Not tested but know the inevitable. My partner and I have some fertility tests coming up so hopefully some light will be shed on our situation.

I have a 3 year old and have had 3 miscarriages last year.

Anybody in the same boat and would like a friendly thread to share their journey it would be great to hear from you!

i’ve been trying for the second over 2 years now although with gaps, but still nothing.
not holding too much hope anymore. But still want to believe in miracles..

I think I'm going to cave and test at 9DPO!
All our family has just arrived to stay for Xmas and soon the drinking will begin so I would rather know if I need to be sensible or not.

I'll update once I have tested (it's currently middle of the night where I am so I'll wait till I get up in the morning)

Has anyone else tested yet or getting close to it?

Hi can I join? I'm 39 and trying to conceive 2nd child. DS is 12 and I've been trying 5 months now. I concieved DS quickly so I'm struggling this time although I do appreciate I was 26. I was on the mini pill for over 12 years before trying to conceive this time. I'm booked in for day 2 and 21 blood tests next month to get the ball rolling. I've never felt so all consumed by something. Sending baby dust to all

Just starting this month’s TWW, anyone else? I’m really wanting to focus on losing some weight the next couple of months, and exercising a bit more (I do an hour most days, would like to up that to two), so I feel like I’ve tried my very very best…does that sound daft? I know the chances are slim at 43 but maybe just maybe. Sending positive thoughts to you all.

Unfortunately our plans for trying this December have been scuppered by catching the awful virus doing the rounds at the moment ...past ovulation now ...only just starting to feel better.

Oh well onwards!

@RobotRumpus Hi, I'm 43 and ttc #2. I'm hoping that with regular periods and ovulating that im still in with a chance. I have also started to have acupuncture this month to try help my chances 😀

I’m out period started yesterday 3 days early only 24 day cycle. Decided to start taking ubiquinol and seven seas x

Looks like I'm having another chemical this month. I knew I was pregnant before I even got the positive test and was hoping this month it would stick but the lines aren't increasing in color unfortunately :(

I've got the eggs but the quality isn't good!

If anyone has any positive stories about slow rising HCG please feel free to share them!

Have no idea if these are enough....
Anyone over 44 had any success with these?

@ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson I'm sorry, I don't have any experience. With my chemical my lines were a fair bit stronger than yours even after my period. It was all very strange. Fingers crossed they get stronger for you.

@meetmeinthespring I just use good old vitamin B complex and ubiqinolol. Any prenatal vitamins make my cycle go wonky for some reason.

My so called fertile period has been over Xmas! I think I have ovulated and managed to have sex a few times despite wanting to pass out asleep. It's so busy and exhausting isn't it.

Hope everyone has managed to have a bit of mental relief for TTC over Xmas, I know it's so hard to switch off

Feeling poorly is so rubbish especially when needing to be well on certain days😩Sorry you're unwell. I'm in the TWW currently and as usual I'm symptom spotting constantly and trying not to get my hopes up.

Hi. I did post earlier on this thread, I am 41 and my period was due yesterday. Today, I got a positive test. I waited until day after period was due. I am very apprehensive as had a miscarriage in March..but this was a result of my first month using OPKs properly. Hope this gives you all some hope xx

Thank you all. Tbh I had an inkling I was for the last few days but I don't like early testing as I had a chemical before and I don't like squinting to see a line but it did take restraint! Worst part is I broke up with my partner over Xmas. I'm amazed it happened so quickly and I am blessed. If all goes well, it'll be due in September, just before my 42nd birthday. I will

I am now on day 37 of my cycle but have tested lots and all negative. Never had a cycle this long before though I ovulated on day 23 so it has been a strange month.

Good morning, if you don't mind me asking, how did you pick which private fertility clinic to go to?

And what is FSH? Sorry for the questions, I'm 42 and have been TTC with my DH since last February. In 2022 we suffered 4 consecutive losses. I too have been referred to the miscarriage clinic, had a phone consultation and the next step is blood tests.

@BecauseICan22 I just picked one that had good reviews in my area. Follicular stimulating Hormone, what stimulates the follicles to grow in ovaries.

I'm on day 40 of my cycle now and only had slight spotting the last 3 days I'm wondering if this is the start of menopause??😭

Hi! Can I join?! Am 41 this year, have a 20m old after 4 miscarriages previously. Also had an ectopic earlier in the year so had to wait it out after the injection. Don’t think we covered it this month as only had sex once over the fertile period due to illness etc. My cycles are usually 28, but have been a bit up and down. Only been using an app, not temp tracking or sticks, so not sure if ovulating times are very accurate. Have been taking Folic and Vit D just in case! Are there any other supplements people recommend?

Hi all I'm back on the TWW. This is our 4th cycle trying and unfortunately my hub had covid when I was ovulating so we only DTD once. It'll be a miracle if we conceive this time but I can't help that glimmer of hope that's there. Definitely getting some tests next cycle though. Cannot face a year of this rollercoaster without at least knowing where we stand
