@allgoodthings84 I think it's only a couple of days usually, so you shouldn't have to wait too long 🀞

I'm also glad we started DTD last night, but both of us were knackered and my partner took FOREVER to make his deposit, as it were, and I was just so grumpy by the time he finished πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£
Night off tonight, then we'll be DTD every evening from tomorrow until Sunday πŸ₯±πŸ˜΄πŸ˜…
If I end up ovulating around CD11 again I'm going to have to try and rearrange my day21 bloods again πŸ˜–
Keeping fingers crossed your results come back quick, and they're all fine, and then you can put those particular worries to bed 🀞

pixiecircle · 05/10/2022 09:12

@allgoodthings84 good luck with your test today!! I got my results on the app within 24-48 hours. Have you been able to detect a change with your new Fitbit?

@pomdownunder1 I just use SMU or wait until after 10am but I don’t worry about the hold. I think they say not to use FMU as there’s a higher concentration built up overnight. This is just for the standard OPKs, advanced OPKs need FMU.

@LucyFraser1981 woohoo the fun begins!! Good luck with all your tests this month!! Are they all with the fertility clinic or GP?

Had to take a break from forums to distract from the TWW, but here I am at 9DPO 😬

allgoodthings84 · 05/10/2022 09:27

@pixiecircle my RHR is going up and is where I expect it to be now but didn’t start rising until 5dpo but not sure if just because my new watch took a few days to calibrate or something or progesterone took time to rise. My HRV is going down and breathing rate up which is what’s meant to happen during the luteal phase. My skin temperature has also been going up. I only have 3 days readings but gone up each day. Yesterday from today was a bigger jump so I’m hoping that my results will be ok I’m just scared. The nurse took notes of how many days this cycle is due to be and what CD I am today etc to be more thorough

allgoodthings84 · 05/10/2022 10:24

@pomdownunder1 thank you 😊. What opk’s do you use?

allgoodthings84 · 05/10/2022 10:26

@LucyFraser1981 in some ways I’m glad it’s quick in other ways I’m dreading looking. Might not look before Monday in case it ruins my weekend lol. Dtd to conceive isn’t as much fun is it πŸ˜‚. Getting bloods on the right day is a pain in the bum ha ha

strawberryandcreams · 05/10/2022 12:08

allgoodthings84 · 05/10/2022 08:36

@strawberryandcreams i got pregnant very easily first time too. Wasn’t ttc just a not very carefully dtd and we only dtd once a week if that! This time I’m 8 years older and I’m on cycle 5 now and it’s not happening

@LucyFraser1981 phew that you started earlier this cycle! They do like to surprise us. I rarely get a 24 day cycle then after my long covid one bam I got 2 in a row! Back to 26 days (expected from when I got peak opk’s) this cycle though

I’m now in the waiting room to have my 21 day blood test. I’m so so nervous and scared. Not if the test itself needles etc don’t bother me but if the results. How long do results generally take does anyone know? I can get my results on my nhs app so if it’s bad news I don’t need to be told by a receptionist. I can process it before talking to anyone

I got my results within 2 days for my 21 days blood

allgoodthings84 · 05/10/2022 12:45

thanks @strawberryandcreams. I had general bloods done too just to rule anything out in case I’m deficient in something or other. Thought I may as well ask for those too as would already be there. She took 4 vials of blood so guessing most are for the general bloods. I remember last time I got general bloods done (around 12 years ago now) it took nearly 2 weeks for results so hopefully this will be quicker too as I’m very interested in my B12 levels as I’ve struggled in the past absorbing it from food and supplements

pixiecircle · 05/10/2022 18:24

@allgoodthings84 Wow it measures so much!!! I also had a full blood test and my results came back within a day or two so fingers crossed you won’t have to wait long!

allgoodthings84 · 05/10/2022 18:36

@pixiecircle yep this one does. My old one only did HR so I much prefer this as I live data. Not sure if it will help my worrying though πŸ˜‚. I’m glad the results don’t take too long. I’ll check them Friday

LucyFraser1981 · 06/10/2022 08:26

Oh blinking heck; got my static smiley today, so looking like another early ovulation πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ which will mean I need to see if GP can bring my blood test forward πŸ˜–

LucyFraser1981 · 06/10/2022 09:35

@allgoodthings84 how are you getting on with your new fitbit?
I don't think I could resist checking for my test results πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ just managed to rearrange mine back to the original appointment date on Friday 14th now πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£ honestly, it's like trying to plan a military coup!
Hoping my fertility consultation tomorrow gives me some hope πŸ€

LucyFraser1981 · 06/10/2022 09:36

How are you doing @NSx ?

allgoodthings84 · 06/10/2022 09:57

@LucyFraser1981 i checked πŸ˜‚ my progesterone results aren’t there yet but my other bloods are. All normal apart from my vit d levels are 47nmol/l and a quick nhs google tells me that this is β€œinsufficient” 50nmol/l would be β€œadequate” so still not great. I take the recommended dose of vit d already and know too much can be damaging so think I’ll have to call up next week to discuss what I can do. My b12 levels have doubled in the last few years so my b complex tablets must be helping

I hope it won’t be too long for my other results as they are the important ones πŸ˜‚

allgoodthings84 · 06/10/2022 10:02

@LucyFraser1981 I’ve not got a vitamin D deficiency though that’s below 25nmol/l it’s just a bit low

NSx · 06/10/2022 11:09

Hey ladies ✨🀍

been busy at work and going to the gym πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… …
im doing ok, cd9 so going to start testing tomorrow as I ovulated cd15 last time.
Nothing much else to report … @LucyFraser1981 i hope it all goes well tomorrow 🀞✨ keep us poste with what they say..
@allgoodthings84 thats good your bloods are going well so far, u should maybe have results this afternoon if not tomorrow for sure πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

allgoodthings84 · 06/10/2022 12:41

@LucyFraser1981 i hope things go well today!

@NSx what’s your plan of action this cycle?

my results are still coming through (still not the one I want the most πŸ˜‚) everything apart from vit d is in the normal range. My tsh (for thyroid) levels are 2.0 which I think is ok. I was a bit concerned about thyroid as know it can affect ttc.

LucyFraser1981 · 06/10/2022 14:51

@allgoodthings84 they all sound good! They say we're all deficient in vitamin D here, so it may be that the recommended dose ismt enough? Or you may find a spare or different tablet absorbs better for you?

I'm really hoping the scan and consultation tomorrow is positive, also hope I get good AMH results πŸ€ although if I knew that I wasn't likely to conceive due to things outside my control, I'd find it easier to live with, rather than be told everything's great but still not manage to conceive, if that makes sense?
Just feeling so exhausted with everything, my partner is really low about having to stop being self employed, and I feel guilty, but we literally have no choice if we want a child together, we don't have the luxury of waiting even a couple of years πŸ˜•

@NSx sounds like you're having a good week! I wish my body would go back to ovulating on CD14/15, CD11/12 just doesn't leave a lot of time for getting the boink on πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£

allgoodthings84 · 06/10/2022 15:37

@LucyFraser1981 the tablets I take have the full dose recommend of vit d and Google says too much in a supplement can cause damage so I’ll ask the doctor next week what they suggest. At least it’s not a deficiency.

I agree it would be easier to know that there’s nothing we can do or little we can do than just not conceive and not know why.

I occasionally peak CD11 so CD7 is the earliest it could count anyway so not too bad. I know I have to start taking opk’s from CD8 though

My progesterone results aren’t on yet. Typical the most important one is the one not there πŸ˜‚

NSx · 06/10/2022 15:37

@allgoodthings84 honeslty I don’t know …
I will DTD cd12 cd14, cd15 (ovulation) cd16 depending when I get a static/flashy smiley Im going to start testing tomorrow but expecting a O and then 3 flashys and a static - let’s see . It’s mind boggling really. 🀣

@LucyFraser1981 i would rather have short te cycles so I have less time to wait inbetween πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

don’t feel bad everyone has to compromise for the things they want in life and like u said, you feel that time isn’t on ur side so what else can u do ❀️

LucyFraser1981 · 06/10/2022 15:52

Trouble is @NSx my LP is still 16 days, so just as long to wait to see if we've been successful! But ovulating early on means we can usually only just about manage one or two boinks before I ovulate. My normal opks haven't peaked yet, so hoping that my static smiley today isn't like last cycles as that one signalled ovulation on CD11. Keeping my fingers crossed it waits until Saturday or Sunday really. Although that will then muck up my day 21 blood test appointment πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£

I just wish there wasn't such added pressure due to our age, it's all just a bit unfair and I wish I could fix it for him so he could carry on doing what he loves πŸ˜” but sadly, without him making the sacrifice, we just can't have a life together πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜•

@allgoodthings84 ugh, you can always guarantee that whatever you're waiting for will take the longest time!

Just saw that Hilary Swank, the actor, is expecting twins and she's 48! 😱

pixiecircle · 06/10/2022 21:54

@allgoodthings84 good news about your results!! Hope you get progesterone back soon 🀞🀞

@LucyFraser1981 I’m with you β€” I’d find it easier if they found a cause, unexplained fertility is such an ironic diagnosis… yeah everything’s fine! BUT ITS NOT FINE!!

Sorry you have the added pressures on top of this incredibly frustrating process. I hope he finds something he enjoys and looks back on this as a silver lining.

Yess my jaw dropped when I saw that about Hilary Swank!! Gives us hope that we may have a bit longer than we expect… although hope it doesn’t take much longer 🀞

LucyFraser1981 · 07/10/2022 07:30

@pixiecircle
Yep, I will only end up stressing and over-analysing every cycle if I'm told all is fine πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« Not sure how long the waiting list is for my partner to go for his sperm analysis as that's being done via the NHS, but I'm hoping as he had one about three years ago that was fine, that this one will be fine too. Really I know the main issue for us will be down to our age, which is why we don't have the luxury of my partner being self indulgent and staying self employed, when he just doesn't earn anywhere near enough to support four of us! If I was only 31 I'd not be stressing so much, but we have to be realistic πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Think I'll be ovulating today, as my temp hadn't gone up this morning, which will be a good thing as it means my day21 bloods will be on the correct day, and also we get more chance to get SMEP right πŸ˜…

Any news yet @allgoodthings84 ? πŸ€πŸ’—

allgoodthings84 · 07/10/2022 07:39

I hope you all ovulate soon and get plenty of dtd in

no progesterone results yet so I’m guessing will be today.

LucyFraser1981 · 07/10/2022 07:54

Well I had a very high reading with a standard opk this morning, even though the urine wasn't particularly strong looking, so I reckon my LH surge was late yesterday evening, which would agree with the CB digital dual opk, so I'm fairly confident ovulation is today. Wondering whether the fertility consultation/scan will be able to confirm it, not sure if they can see that much detail πŸ€”
Anyway, appointment is at 10.30, so hoping it's good news.

Fingers crossed you get you results back soon @allgoodthings84 πŸ€žπŸ€

pomdownunder1 · 07/10/2022 10:41

@LucyFraser1981 good luck with your appointment!

Day 5 of opk testing, no surge yet but app says it won't be for another 4 days. Trying to stick to the plan as much as possible! I've been sending myself crazy googling short luteal phases all day. Ate a plate of greens tonight to see if that does the job πŸ˜‚
