@ScarletDreams of course you can! xx Hello and welcome!
With regards to TTC, it's different for everyone. Couples are different, circumstances are different etc I'm on cycle #6 and because my cycles are between 32 and 35 days in length, technically this is month #8 for me.
DH and I prayed that it wouldn't take 6 months, yet here we are! And that's on top of knowing that his parents conceived both of their children in 2 cycles both times and never miscarried (as far as we know and bearing in mind this was back in the 80s)! Saying that, I have been pregnant twice in the last 8 months and sadly miscarried both very early. Some people just have better luck than others.
Try to relax (that phrase pissed me off aswell at the beginning) and take each day as it comes. It seems to be the trial and error of figuring out what works that takes the time, as I lost 3 cycles to SMEP (Sperm Meets Egg Plan) as it doesn't work for us.
If you can, do get yourself and your partner a fertility MOT just to make sure everything is good under the hood, as it's better to discover issues early and act on them so you don't potentially end up putting yourself through misery with each passing month.
Something that helped to put it all into perspective for me was The Great Sperm Race. It is a documentary that goes into the fine details of how the woman's egg is fertilised and the journey, trials and tribulations the man's sperm face.
And finally, we're all here to support you during the highs and the lows as sometimes TTC can be all-consuming. TTC will likely be one of the most memorable journeys you'll ever take. Women get pregnant every day all over the world, so it is possible and we must remember that will all get our babies one way or another.
