@Bananatoast123 oooh exciting on the (hopefully) upcoming proposal!
my partner ordered a ring sizer thing last week and said he’d been looking at rings online so I’m hoping I’ll get one too in the not to distant future! I don’t think it’ll be before Christmas but hopefully won’t be too long 🤞🏼

Jennifer89 · 15/10/2022 18:45

@lj2022 that's true, difficult to ever have perfect timing. The main thing is I would be more happy with an August born baby than waiting months and months..
Yes they will be one of youngest in school year but oh well. On plus side would save money on childcare..

Bananatoast123 · 15/10/2022 18:46

@Houseelf90 oooo that’s exciting news!! I have hope you get one too!!

my OH would always shut down any conversation but now he entertains my annoying jokes more and has said he’s saving up! I’ve shown him this ring I’d fallen in love with last year when helping my mum pick one for her 30th anniversary and he’s heavily hinted it’s potentially in his price bracket around Christmas!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 he’s also the type to make sure he has a little more than he needs so it could be early next year too! All his family keep telling him to do it haha which I find great how much they clearly love me!

lj2022 · 15/10/2022 18:47

@Jennifer89 that's it. Just something that can't be fully planned. Are you England ? In scotland august is one of the middle birthdays in the school year, funny how it works so different. Good luck and I'm sure it will happen for you soon 🤞

Jennifer89 · 15/10/2022 18:51

@Welshgal85
Yes I know what you mean. I do think 'wish it were me' when I see others pregnancy announcements.
It can be patronising when people say to relax but I get it because ttc can be stressful at times. I am trying not to get too carried away watching baby videos on youtube etc as think it just gets my hopes up at times. I am trying to just focus on other things in life and not think about it too much.

Jennifer89 · 15/10/2022 18:53

@lj2022 I live in England. I think August and December/January seem to be least popular months for ideal time baby born but can't plan these things..

Thank you, wish you best of luck too 😊

Jennifer89 · 15/10/2022 18:56

@missmoosh sorry to hear that. Hope it all goes ok and you can plan to ttc again some time. 🌺

Houseelf90 · 15/10/2022 18:57

@Bananatoast123 thats very exciting!! I’ve been showing my partner a few for ages, and then the other day he said I needed to send him some other options as there were some bits about the ones he’d seen that he didn’t think would suit my lifestyle…I don’t wear much jewellery as I’m pretty outdoorsy and have horses, so need something quite minimal but hard wearing!

DesertSnow · 15/10/2022 19:04

Exciting that it sounds like some proposals are coming up - I'll have to live through your wedding plans vicariously after my wedding - 19 days to go! 😱

@Bananatoast123 Thanks that's helpful to know re. the Covid booster and a change to your cycle - perhaps it's happening to me too.

Bananatoast123 · 15/10/2022 20:38

@Houseelf90 ohhh!! I’m similar I’m outdoors all the time! I’ve said I like sapphires as they always catch my eye! But I have said I don’t want it to be £££ as I’m always outside with the dog etc! Would you be happy to be pregnant at your wedding? We’ve said we’d start planning the wedding as normal but if we got BFP during the early process we’d move the date! Our priority is a baby as we could get married anytime!

@DesertSnow oh congratulations!! I hope you had an amazing day! Covid is annoying it always disrupts cycles… maybe your wedding day has pushed it off too? It is a big life event and has a lot of emotions!!

Dreamingof3 · 15/10/2022 20:54

@DesertSnow wow its so close now!!

Exciting that there may be some proposals coming up! I went to the wedding show in London today and tried on my first wedding dress...18 weeks pregnant 😂 but actually I didn't hate how I looked so a good start I think!

DesertSnow · 15/10/2022 20:54

@Bananatoast123 Ah sorry I meant 19 days to go to my wedding - it's not happened yet but coming up fast! It doesn't feel real somehow... The wedding was the main reason we only started trying last cycle - we came to the conclusion that we'd be happy if I was 10 weeks or under (that was the max I would have been if I caught first cycle, which I didn't). Obviously it's a personal decision re. whether you would be happy to be pregnant (whether you would miss drinking, whether you were suffering morning sickness or other symptoms, what the dress would look like etc.). But I do half wish we'd started trying earlier now... But we're both 31 so hoped time was still on our side.

DesertSnow · 15/10/2022 20:56

@Dreamingof3 I know, I can't believe it! Ah when is your wedding? I never went to a wedding show, but always thought it would be fun. Bit late now! 😂So exciting you tried on a dress.

Houseelf90 · 15/10/2022 21:15

@Bananatoast123 are we the same person, I’m wanting sapphire too!! I think we will wait to get married until after a baby, selfishly because I’d want to drink at my wedding 🤣
My friend got married earlier this year and I have to say her 2 year old stole the show at the church which I actually wouldn’t mind! He wasn’t naughty, but very entertaining!

Dreamingof3 · 15/10/2022 21:17

@DesertSnow it's August next year, feels ages away, especially as well be having a baby between now and then 😅 but I know we need to get a move on too!

Bananatoast123 · 15/10/2022 21:27

@DesertSnow oh!! Well in that case! Good luck and I hope you have a fantastic day! I think I’d be the same! I just can’t see myself personally being a pregnant bride but also if we’ve not conceived by that point I probably won’t care either!!

@Dreamingof3 I love that! That’s the part I’m most excited for! I keep telling my OH that I bet he’ll propose and then I’ll conceive just to make me hold off 🤣

@Houseelf90 haha we definitely are! The one I like is a pear sapphire with a diamond halo! 🤣 we’ll be the same but I also won’t hold off planning, I think just postpone! I know we’ve said to be engaged 2-3 years so hopefully we would be successful in ttc before too! We went to a wedding a month ago and their little boy stole the show and those moments made the wedding even better!! I’ve seen a video of a 2 year old boy walking down the aisle with a sign saying “I’m still single ladies” and I would love to do that if I had a son, so cute!!

Houseelf90 · 15/10/2022 21:45

@Bananatoast123 my friends son had the same!! I also love the “Daddy, it’s time to give mummy our last name” little signs for them to carry! I think we will be engaged a few years too, we’re going to look at moving house at some point in the next couple of years and TTC so finances will be well and truly knocked!

Bananatoast123 · 15/10/2022 22:03

@Houseelf90 sooo cute!! And when they’re so little but in tiny suits! Yes I know how you feel! We’ve just moved to our 7-10 year house so at least 1 or 2 children here and it’s taken our bank accounts!! With us being 8 months ttc we just don’t know what the future looks like with ttc so I’m really conscious we may have to decide between help with ttc and wedding etc!

Houseelf90 · 15/10/2022 22:31

@Bananatoast123 not going to lie, I’m hoping for a boy because little boys in suits or chinos and shirts are just adorable 😂

HeathenPlayingHouse · 16/10/2022 01:50

@missmoosh Sorry to hear you've had bad news, take care of yourself lovely ❤️

@LucyLoopyLu Yes, it's pure spearmint rather than a mix- I could never find it in the shops so I ordered it off Amazon- Palanquin brand. It's not cheap though, so once I get through my stash of teabags, I'll probably buy a tea ball- you can get big bags of dried spearmint for much cheaper online.

Bananatoast123 · 16/10/2022 08:52

@Houseelf90 so cute! I hope we both get our positive BFP and proposals soon!!

Dreamingof3 · 16/10/2022 10:24

@Bananatoast123 my girls are going to carry a 'daddy, here comes mummy' sign! Well the two bigger ones...my maid of honour will have to carry the baby 😂

LucyLoopyLu · 16/10/2022 10:42

@HeathenPlayingHouse that's so interesting, thanks for the info. I've had a look on amazon at the one you mentioned! I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS but I do have bad hormonal acne since I came off the pill a few years ago. Dermatologist recommended roaccutane but obviously not TTC friendly so I have to wait. I do wonder whether it is PCOS but I don't have "medically significant" irregular cycles (a few days diff here and there) and I don't have the excess hair etc.

I will see what the fertility clinic say when they have seen my bloods and my scan.

BethSuz27 · 16/10/2022 11:21

5dpo and got some lower stomach cramps (more painful on the one side but not super painful more like a pulling) this morning and also very sniffly nose and cold like symptoms, been sneezing so so much!

has anyone else had this and had a BFP?

Bananatoast123 · 16/10/2022 15:48

I’m 12dpo and just going to wait until wednesday! I’m not feeling too hopeful though!

has everyone ever experienced cervical entropy/erosion? I was told I had it last year when I kept having issues with my coil. It’s gotten loads better since we are ttc and I know it doesn’t affect it. Because of it I usually bleed just before Af during dtd so it’s a not of a LP issue. Has anyone had this and still got a BFP? When it happens I usually think I’m out because my cervix has lowered so it’s easier for it to happen but I also could just be making that up in my head and it’s to do with hormones!!
