@kizzy97 oh so you are sort of smack bang in the middle of the possible end. Finger's crossed.

@My2boysaremyworld @Bluelightbaby I paid to get my DS the chicken pox vaccine. I know its a little late for your little ones but for our future babies it's worth thinking about. My niece was so ill with it that I researched it and decided to get it for him. The reason the NHS don't give it as part of their normal childhood vaccines is that it doesn't routinely end up with serious illness. The rest of Europe gives it.

Ballygowenwater · 27/09/2022 20:29

When my girl had chicken pox oat baths and an oat sponge really helped give her some relief.

Im really starting to struggle with things now, it’s been a year. I just want my baby it just seems so out of reach. I’ve managed to stay super positive up until now but the positivity is waning

@Purple29 my DD are 15&17 but yes if /when we have another baby is definitely get them vaccinated. We’re pretty much one of the only first world countries that don’t offer it routinely ! Children die from complications from it each year :(

My2boysaremyworld · 27/09/2022 21:05

@Purple29 I didn't even know you could get a vaccine?? Am I bad mom or what? Xx

Purple29 · 27/09/2022 21:25

@My2boysaremyworld of course you're not a bad mum!!! I only knew about it cause my sister is a nurse. You can book it online in boots or other pharmacies.

My2boysaremyworld · 27/09/2022 22:27

@Purple29 thank you defo something to look into if I'm blessed with another baby xx

DiscipleMama · 27/09/2022 22:44

My 2 cents. I think I'd rather risk CP as a kid and get as good immunity as possible. I had it as an adult and it was horrible. I got my husband to take photos in case I ever complained of a spot or pimple ever again. Thankfully it didn't get my face - but the rest of me was covered, I couldn't wear clothes without pain and I was really fluey. So, I'm really trying to say I don't think it makes you a bad parent not knowing about or choosing to have the v.
Somehow my kids have escaped it - or had it so mild we couldn't tell (I've wondered a couple of times). But I do wish they had definitely had it as I know that adult CP is generally worse than as a child.

My2boysaremyworld · 27/09/2022 23:09

@DiscipleMama apparently I only had it for one day and gave it my mom! Thankfully my son isn't too bothered by it. I really thought he would of been a nightmare with it. He's got one right on the edge of his bottom eyelid which is annoying him but he's still very much full of energy. Xx

DiscipleMama · 27/09/2022 23:15

@My2boysaremyworld that's great! Yes, they eyelid one WOULD be annoying. Like I say, grateful they avoided my face, but partly because I think I would have wanted to avoid public life for quite some time afterwards if they had gotten there. Plus, I am admittedly someone who can struggle not to pick if it's on my face or scalp. So, it was a small mercy!
Hopefully you'll all breeze through and put it behind you very soon.

DiscipleMama · 28/09/2022 05:41

@Ballygowenwater I am so sorry you are feeling that way. It's completely normal/understandable...and I wish there was some way I could make it all good for you!

kizzy97 · 28/09/2022 06:02

@DiscipleMama indeed but I normally test CD 29 and BFNs then have been accurate for me so far. Obviously hope I'm wrong. How are you getting on? xx

DiscipleMama · 28/09/2022 06:47

@kizzy97 How is it that 24 hours can feel like an eternity in these times? If only you could just kinda fast forward to AF/positive test days. I have a bunch of vague symptoms, probably too early to mean much. It would help if I knew what dpo I really was, or had been tracking things prior for comparison.

My2boysaremyworld · 28/09/2022 07:30

@DiscipleMama thank you xx

Purple29 · 28/09/2022 08:15

@DiscipleMama yeah its very much a personal choice, with my little one being prem as well I chose to try and avoid a childhood illness. Its a live vaccine, so they are exposed to a mild form of the virus, so should only ever develop a mild form or not catch it at all, even in adulthood.
I encourage people to do their own research and make the right choice for them.

DiscipleMama · 28/09/2022 08:22

@Purple29 yep I agree with you about researching and making own choice. :)

I have been irritable and peeing like a trooper this afternoon/eve (I'm a Brit in NZ) ... wonder if I have a good excuse for the irritation or whether I'm just being grumpy?!

My2boysaremyworld · 28/09/2022 08:47

@DiscipleMama me too! I'm so bloody irritable it's unreal. I don't even want my OH too close to me!! Keep weeing too!! Xx

DiscipleMama · 28/09/2022 08:56

@My2boysaremyworld Oh wow! How many dpo again? I can't keep up with everyone. I keep reading that frequent urination is a common very early sign. I was going back and forth like an actual yo-yo lol.

wellhelloitsme · 28/09/2022 08:58

Just reposting in case anyone can help - how long after ovulation occurs would a clear lie digital ovulation test kit be positive (a smiley rather than an empty circle).

I was unable to test (due to a holiday) until C17 and it was negative, as it was again today CD18.

I had horrific cramps on CD13 which felt like the ones I get pre ovulation but sometimes they're right before and sometimes a couple of days before.

Wondering if I perhaps missed the peak and ovulated on CD16, but then wondered if I ovulated that day, the surge would still have shown on CD17.

That was probably completely garbled but hopefully makes sense to someone!

God I'm sick of all this testing 😭

DiscipleMama · 28/09/2022 09:00

@wellhelloitsme I am sorry I have no answers, I know nothing about those tests. I hope someone can help.

My2boysaremyworld · 28/09/2022 09:08

@DiscipleMama I'm 12 DPO from going off my app. I didn't track this cycle. Yeah weeing more is defo a sign but I'm scared to think positive. Will wait until I'm at least a day late to test xx

DiscipleMama · 28/09/2022 09:18

@My2boysaremyworld when does that make testing day? I don't have any so, unless I miss a period or have really obvious symptoms, I will be holding off, too. But I'm nowhere near 12dpo.

My2boysaremyworld · 28/09/2022 09:57

@DiscipleMama I'm due AF on Friday so can test from Saturday xx

Sophieleigh26 · 28/09/2022 10:25

Has anyone tried Tesco own brand test?

Sophieleigh26 · 28/09/2022 10:26

I woke up 3 times last night to go for a wee which is really unusual! But I’ve been feeling really irritated and tired which is PMS symptoms surely?
