Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

@Tophy124 It's so disheartening isn't it. Especially when you're desperate.
Just remember you can catch the peak but essentially still only as much luck as dtd 3/4 days before. It only takes the once and only a 20% chance each time.
It will happen for you!! Keep positive, there is still time yet this cycle to test positive. I'll keep my fingers and toes well and truly crossed for you.
Lots of baby dust your way!!❀️

Mummyme87 · 17/09/2022 22:02

It is so disheartening when you think you got it @Tophy124 its all consuming. Your time will come, but I know that’s not helpful right now.
I get to the point where I think it just won’t happen at all as we have had so many attempts. Can’t imagine seeing a second line

Tophy124 · 17/09/2022 22:23

Congratulations @Shannondd3108, I see the lines too!

Tophy124 · 17/09/2022 22:25

Thank you @Cm078 @Mummyme87

Im half tempted to not do OPKs next month as I know I will be highly strung and get my hopes up if I catch the peak. I’m also still anemic and wondering if that is playing a part so speaking to my GP tomorrow to see if she can retest my levels. I think I will start taking NAC and coq10 too

Shannondd3108 · 17/09/2022 22:25

Thankyou @Tophy124 !! Fingers crossed for you that it happens soon for you!! ❀️

Sparklythings1 · 17/09/2022 22:41

@Tophy124 I was so sure I was pregnant the month I was pregnant with my little boy and was flying through my pile of expensive tests every morning, getting BFNs every time. My boobs were heavier and I’d had a weird cramp feeling in my cervix that I’d never had before so I just knew I had to be! On 11dpo I got yet another negative and was so gutted and confused. On 12dpo I got up to go to the toilet and thought there’s actually no point in me even wasting another test because I know it’s negative but I may as well get rid of this last one so did it and straight away a line came up!

you’re not out at 11dpo! Fingers crossed for tomorrow 🀞🏼 I think probably 13/14dpo you’d maybe be out but it all depends on the day you implanted and how long it takes to rise so could just be late

BethSuz27 · 17/09/2022 22:59

I’m 15dpo and Cd27 just waiting for my period which was due yesterday, no signs of AF, BFN yesterday, been super thirsty today and headachey even though I’ve drunk loads…

I’ve just had a lot of cervical mucus (sorry TMI) and it’s a bit like ewcm which has confused me? But a pinkish tinge

Tophy124 · 17/09/2022 23:16

Thank you @Sparklythings1! I don’t necessarily feel pregnant, but my heart wants it so much. As I said before, we were very undecided on having another child and I’m not sure what’s happened but the past few months of negative tests I’ve realised how much I would just love to have another baby and give my son a sibling. My heart and head are now completely on the baby fever train. It’s so tough as when you decide you are ready it feels really cruel when it doesn’t just happen. I’ve been googling secondary infertility and getting myself worked up too as I have endometriosis

Sparklythings1 · 17/09/2022 23:20

@Tophy124 I already feel like that and I’ve only just stopped the pill so I can only imagine how desperate I’d be for another if it went on for a while. Think I’ve already asked this but what month are you on now? It’s so easy to worry the first time that you can’t get pregnant then you’re a bit falsely confident that it will be fine and presumably as soon as it doesn’t happen you then think the worse and go onto secondary infertility. I’m sure that won’t be the case at all x

Sparklythings1 · 17/09/2022 23:41

First cycle off the pill so first time ovulating again and omg, I feel awful πŸ˜‘ Not like that tiny sharp pain in one side that people talk about, this is just full belly cramps and generally feeling terrible. It’s almost like I’m getting my period but I’m not obviously. I keep telling myself it must mean something even though I know it’s physically impossible for me to even be pregnant yet at this point πŸ™ˆ

Tophy124 · 18/09/2022 01:31

@Sparklythings1 Technically only month 2, but have been wanting another for at least a year but serious health issues stopped me and made us wonder if it was even possible. But now my brain is like yes it’s possible, do it!

Mummyme87 · 18/09/2022 06:20

I would be broken if we didn’t have another, I know we are lucky we have two boys already but I’m just not done yet. When I had the ectopic two years ago, it was totally unplanned and incredibly bad timed… during covid, we were getting married, youngest was only two, I had booked in an appt for a termination.. then a few days before the pain started and had a partially ruptured ectopic and lost my right tube. Even now I think it was a punishment for not wanting the baby and now I’m paying a price 😞

Mummyme87 · 18/09/2022 06:52

9dpo and I think it’s a bfn, which again is fine as it’s so early. I wouldn’t expect a positive on a cheapie at this stage although it would be nice!!!
off to work today so will be fairly occupied

Shannondd3108 · 18/09/2022 08:48

10dpo this morning! Darker than yesterday will take a frer later 🀞🏻

@K6890 I think I'm ovulating today too so I'll join in the TWW with you! When will you test?
Really interested to hear how Ferti-Lily works out for you. Good luck! Xx

K6890 · 18/09/2022 09:31

@afinethingindeed 🀞🏻
I currently have no tests in the house. Trying to hold out this time and just see if I feel any different. I'll keep you posted ☺️

Summerbreeze111 · 18/09/2022 09:48

Hi everyone πŸ’› I am going to log on my laptop later this afternoon to catch up with all the messages!

I have some good news 😊 I am very nervous announcing this time but I am pregnant!!!

I am so unbelievably happy but my mental health has been pretty shocking the past few days so I took a little break. I suffer periods of anxiety and it flared up massively, I got some spotting the day after my bfp, whilst in work of all places, and I convinced myself it was another miscarriage. The spotting then turned to brown blood, which now makes sense as maybe being implantation but the past few days has been a mental health battle! I'm due to do another test to see the progression, but quite honestly I'm bloody petrified. Everytime I go for a wee, I feel shaky looking out for signs of bleeding. I bet you all think I am crazy to have such negative emotions when I had good news!! I got my bfp pretty early (8dpo) I think I'm around 4 weeks 2 days.

Would it be helpful if I listed my symptoms before the bfp?

I really hope many more will be joining me with positive good news! πŸ‘

Huge congratulations @Summerbreeze111 !! I think it's totally normal to feel anxious getting a bfp (or several!) after a miscarriage, so please don't beat yourself up about it! What dpo are you now?

I would definitely be interested in hearing your symptoms, plus anything you did to help improve your chances this month, other than dtd of course! πŸ˜‚ Only 6dpo here, but no symptoms, so would be good to have an idea of what to look out for!

And congratulations again, and also to those who have also had bfps so far this month!

ChloeN · 18/09/2022 10:19

@Summerbreeze111 congratulations! Your lines look really good☺️

@FieldView im 6dpo too, feels like the longest wait still to go🀣 are you waiting to test or testing early? X

NSx · 18/09/2022 10:23

Good morning ladies ✨

huge congrats @Summerbreeze111 @Shannondd3108 ❀️

@Mummyme87 u can’t think like that, there is no punishment for doing what’s right for you, so never doubt yourself… you will get another BFP you are clearly very fertile πŸ’•

5DPO here and feel like time is going backwards - 😩

hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday wkend πŸ’•

Shannondd3108 · 18/09/2022 10:49

afinethingindeed · 18/09/2022 10:55

Massive congratulations @Summerbreeze111

I was having talking therapy when I was pregnant with DD. It really did help my anxiety massively! I actually started it for other reasons but then found out about the pregnancy a few sessions in. I'd recommend if you think it's something you could do. I wouldn't say anxiety went away completely but it became more manageable. I hope you feel better soon, anyway xx

NSx · 18/09/2022 11:02

@Shannondd3108 which cycle is this for you, is this your first? Sorry if you’ve already answered this? ✨

Shannondd3108 · 18/09/2022 11:04

@NSx its my first cycle had the implant out 6 weeks ago , second child I have a 1year old ds πŸ’™
