Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

@NSx 7dpo today. Don’t want to get my hopes up, and 12 cycles in you would think I wouldn’t but just feels different, like no typical symptoms. Bit of tender boobs which is standard and that sharp pain 2 days ago.

NSx · 16/09/2022 16:44

@Mummyme87 it has to happen eventually 🀞🀞🀞🀞 so why not this month. Sending you lots of baby dust πŸ’• I hope this is your month

buttercupbee · 16/09/2022 16:48

@Bouncingbeat congratulations!!

buttercupbee · 16/09/2022 16:53

Just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on OPKs?

This is all still new to me and trying to get my head around it all.. do you think it’s likely I missed my peak when I didn’t test on CD17? We are on our honeymoon so I’ve not been super strict at testing but we have been DTD lots πŸ™ˆ I haven’t OPK tested before but can usually feel when I ovulate and haven’t had the pain yet this month. Then again I may have missed it with being preoccupied!

@buttercupbee congrats on the wedding! Yes I’d say it was around day 17/18 and you’ve just missed it. Should be fine though if you’ve been dtd anyway!

NSx · 16/09/2022 17:14

@buttercupbee could we’ll be cd17 but honestly you will never know as you didn’t test that day 😩 so who knows - sorry I can’t give you a definitive answer

BethSuz27 · 16/09/2022 18:09

@Bouncingbeat ooh that makes me feel a little more hopeful, although I haven’t had the peeing I’ve been super tired and headachey, I’m aiming to test Monday/Tuesday I think if AF isn’t here…

Londonlady22 · 16/09/2022 20:25

CD12 today so just waiting for ovulation/fertile window to start. Question for people who have been tracking ovulation a while…. Does ovulation day vary for you. I have been tracking for 3 months and so far have ovulated CD15, CD19 and CD20, which makes predicting fertile window abit trickier, last month we BD too early and he was too tired when it actually mattered so really don’t want to miss it this month and don’t want to use up all our energy too early again, My apps predict I will ovulate around CD18/19 but I got quite alot of EWCM last night (sorry TMI I know) ….

Sparklythings1 · 16/09/2022 20:35

@Londonlady22 mine definitely varied by a few days last time. Do you do opks and put them on premom? If so you could look back at the pattern of how they rise. I noticed I got low (0.2ish) most of the time then they’d go up steadily to between 0.5-0.9 for one day and the next day would be the peak so if I was timing it I’d wait til they’ve already gone up to near 1

Sparklythings1 · 16/09/2022 20:38

Also anyone else that uses premom, have you tried retaking the picture of your tests a few seconds later? I’ve redone some before and they’ve came back the exact same reading multiple times but redone two today a few seconds apart and there’s a difference of 0.3 or more πŸ€”

buttercupbee · 16/09/2022 20:39

@Sparklythings1 thank you!! That’s what I’m hoping, we have pretty much done it every day so hoping if I did ovulate that we managed to catch it!

@NSx thank you anyway! I’m a bit annoyed with myself for not testing on CD17 now but didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself while we’re away. If it doesn’t work out this month at least I’ll have a rough idea when I ovulate for next month

Sparklythings1 · 16/09/2022 20:43

I love a bath and usually have a bath every night. Last time when we were ttc, I still had a bath every night and for the first two cycles I got BFNs. On cycle 3 I decided that (ew) but if the water was sort of washing everything away then maybe that was preventing me getting pregnant. Could be coincidence but stopped the baths til a few days after ovulation and sure enough, it was positive πŸ˜‚ so I’m having a shower tonight πŸ™ˆ

Cm078 · 16/09/2022 20:48

CD 22 for me today. Why is the month so long when you're waiting?? πŸ˜‚

Londonlady22 · 16/09/2022 20:48

@Sparklythings1 I have only been using premom the last couple of weeks so will try and identify a pattern this month, ahhh wish I could just know what date I ovulate… wouldn’tthat make life easier!! Hate the waiting game!

Sparklythings1 · 16/09/2022 21:16

@Londonlady22 totally! I went overkill last time doing the SMEP and we did it every second night for the first bit of the month then every night from when I got a smiley face on the clear blue and it went on for sooo long πŸ™ˆ It was honestly awful! Determined that we’re not doing that this time

Babydust99 · 16/09/2022 21:29

@Wrenegade yes my first but have been pregnant before. I had an internal ultrasound and told all looks healthy and had the day 21 bloods done and all was OK there too so I guess it's just a matter of waiting

Mummyme87 · 17/09/2022 06:56

8dpo, boobs much more tender today which is fairly normal. Did a cheapie test though and bfn, of course. With DS2 I didn’t get a positive until 11dpo

Sparklythings1 · 17/09/2022 12:10

@Mummyme87 another few days maybe 🀞🏼 I think I was 12dpo with my little boy but when I then checked the one from 11dpo out the bin a faint line had appeared after the time

Shannondd3108 · 17/09/2022 12:14

9dpo what do you guys think?

Sparklythings1 · 17/09/2022 12:17

@Shannondd3108 I’ve never used those ones, so its hard to say.. what are they? I’d get a first response for tomorrow x

Shannondd3108 · 17/09/2022 12:17

It’s a home bargains cheaply I’ve ordered some frer for tommorow 🀞🏻

Sparklythings1 · 17/09/2022 12:19

So today is ovulation day and I’m running a marathon at the end of the TWW, hence why I was maybe not going to β€˜try’ this month but have anyway πŸ™ˆ I don’t know whether to test before it or not! I’m sure when it’s so so early, running wouldn’t cause any issue but I’m just thinking I bet this ends up being the month now πŸ˜‚

Sparklythings1 · 17/09/2022 12:19

@Shannondd3108 definitely, do it first thing.. even if it’s negative 10dpo is still early

Shannondd3108 · 17/09/2022 12:20

Thankyou and 🀞🏻 For you also xx

WannabeMum22 · 17/09/2022 13:29

@NSx definitely! it can get depressing so I'd rather just wait as close to my period as possible.
