I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first 👶🏻I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like 😙

1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.

3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.

1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

@NSx BBt sounding good. I tried to do BBT but just wasn’t reliable as I wake so frequently at night then the kids bound in in the morning

Tested this morning and got this. Was due my AF yesterday. Not sure if there is a line there but what's there showed up after about 30 seconds. I think i left the stick in there too long could that cause an evap line?

@NSx cycle 4, yup my first. Was a busy month so we only dtd once. I wasn't expecting a bfp at all. Only tested because i was non stop peeing xD

great that you confirmed ovulation :). I'm 7dpo and decided to test 13 dpo for a definitive result. I hate the idea of testing and then hoping the result will change the next day for a week.

Congratulations @Bouncingbeat The pregnancy I had which was ectopic we only DTD once the whole bloody month!! Our bodies are crazy, can have sex multiple times and nothing but just once, boom 💥

@Mummyme87 yip got a 0.97 there so I think the peak will be this afternoon/tonight 👏🏼 Can’t believe it’s finally happening so far into the cycle 😂 would never have known if I’d given up a few days ago when I wanted to! No idea how you’d even date a pregnancy if I was to ovulate tomorrow (cd26)?!

@Sparklythings1 you would still date from first day of LMP, with adjustment for cycle length. Online you would be able to work it out, or I suspect Ov date is week 2 and go from there. Ish. It’s always a guesstimate anyway as the development of the cells varies

@Sparklythings1 I agree it would be important to correct the dates somehow as when you're at the end of your pregnancy and are 'late' they will start to suggest unnecessary inductions (I went to 42+5 with my girl 😩).

You could lie and say your last period was two weeks later than it was perhaps.

@WannabeMum22 i don’t think I will test unless I’m late or get some symptoms because BFN is just so disappointing isn’t it

@winningeasy i wouldn’t advocate lying to HCP regarding your pregnancy dates. Many many women have super long cycles or don’t know their dates, your pregnancy isn’t dated on that anyway. It’s dated at your scan between 11-14weeks based on certain parts of the fetal development. You only use your LMP in the first couple of months to get a vague idea

a little part of me is feeling positive about this cycle, trying not to get my hopes up but yeah, just a little feeling

So I’m 14dpo, AF is due tomorrow, I had loads of symptoms but things have stopped in the last 4-5 days, I’m trying to hold out doing a test until Monday when I’ll be 17dpo but feeling like I’m out….

had a BFN on 11dpo
my cycles are usually 20-26 days, tomorrow is CD25 and no sign of AF at all yet so I have no idea what to think but trying to tell myself I’m not pregnant so that I’m not disappointed, anyone else ever had symptoms that disappeared?

@Mummyme87 I don’t know if you’d count the bleed after I stopped the pill as my LMP but I can cross that bridge if I come to it 😂 planned for this cycle to be over and done and onto the real one to try but here we are!

@winningeasy thanks! I should probably just wait and worry about that if it came to it 😂 I had a c-section last time so would have an elective but I’d hope the date was as accurate as possible so I could get it at 39 weeks and not end up in labour before it. No need to worry about this yet though, getting way ahead of myself purely because I’ve had the hint of a line on an ovulation test finally 🤣

Thanks everyone for the congrats ! 🥰 Going to do some more tests over the next few days and already had a doctors appt booked for tuesday so I'll ask him to test me too. Don't think I'll believe it till he tells me.

@BethSuz27 I'm 13dpo by my app anyway, but it was weird apart from the peeing i had very little symptoms, two months ago i was CONVINCED i was pregnant and it was just pms.
