Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

@WannabeMum22 hope you're feeling better soon! I had really veiny boobs when pregnant with my son. Fingers crossed for you 🀞🏼✨

Babydust99 · 14/09/2022 19:35

@Tophy124 I'm 11/12 dpo.

@Mummyme87 I had that too! Mine was 9/10 dpo and it was so sore I couldn't sit upright or sleep on that side. It was so strange

@WannabeMum22 hope you're feeling better soon! I had really veiny boobs when pregnant with my son. Fingers crossed for you 🀞🏼✨

thank you! oooh you've given me a bit of hope. they look terrible but if this is what it takes to get a bfp. I'll take it!

NSx · 14/09/2022 21:33

@winningeasy all those signs sound positive - so I will keep my fingers crossed for a BFP for you.
I’m not holding my breath that it will happen fast if even at all, I’m just going to get my day 21 bloods done next week so if they’re normal and I’m ovulating normally then atleast I know that’s one less thing to worry about πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

@Tophy124 i quite like preseed - purely for the fact that if you DTD a lot, the romance can kinda get lost a bit πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ so it helps a bit when you just want to get the deed done πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

I might also try that coq10 next cycle 🀞 hopefully we don’t need another month but I won’t hold my breath for myself lol

Babydust99 · 14/09/2022 22:01

11/12 dpo had a sharp stitch type pain at 9/10 dpo, have been feeling exhausted 24/7, nauseous on and off throughout the day for several days now, headaches and peeing a lot. I just need to know one way or another now. Hate the last week of the tww

NSx · 14/09/2022 22:03

@Babydust99 did u test ? If I were you with all these symptoms I would test - when I was pregnant in feb I got my BFP on a CB test at 10dpo, do u even have any IC? It all sounds promising fx for you girl ✨🀞

Babydust99 · 14/09/2022 22:13

Thanks @NSx I did ics yesterday and the day before but nothing. I'm not getting my hopes up as I've had every symptom possible before and still been bfn. It's the sharp pain that threw me. I was doing well not symptom spotting until then. It was so painful I couldn't ignore it

Can I join too please? Haven't read through all of the posts but if there is a Facebook page/WhatsApp group I will join that too!

Started TTC #1 in May 22 and felt unbelievably lucky to catch straight away. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks on 11.7 and period on 13/8. I started using OPKs to track this month as docs said ovulation can vary and I'm glad I did because I didn't ovulate until CD19 so if I was following Flo/Premom standard prediction I may have missed my FW. Really thought this was going to be the month but AF has just arrived... looking for support and suggestions to try again this month 😊

Also, as a side note has anyones cycle length changed after a MC? I was always 28/29 days for as long as I can remember but the 2 so far post MC have been 33?

Thanks in advance, keeping my fingers crossed for you all xxx

Welcome to the group! I definitely think a mc altered my cycles. I was really irregular before, ranging from 26-49 days a cycle for over a year. After the mc, I've been between 25 and 28 days! Seemed to reset things for me!

NSx · 14/09/2022 22:21

@Babydust99 I had these kinds of pains last month even one radiating into my right hip πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… obvs wasn’t pregnant - I think our bodies are crazy 😝 however you could still be in, so fingers crossed 🀍

Babydust99 · 14/09/2022 22:31

Thanks @NSx time will tell I suppose. Forgot to add palpitations to the list. Had them for about a week too

NSx · 14/09/2022 22:36

@Babydust99 i didn’t ever have that - hopefully it’s a good sign for you ! I’m only on 1dpo so got what seems like a million years to find out πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

Babydust99 · 14/09/2022 22:41

@NSx I have a mild heart problem anyway but haven't had constant palpitations in a long time. I read that pregnancy can cause them

Nypie · 15/09/2022 00:10

Hey ladies jumping on from the May thread. Baby number #1, cycle #3 day #2. Going to not drink alcohol this month and try to limit stress also added a few supplements to my arsenal.

Hope I havent missed any BFPs last month was crazy lucky I'm sure we've lost half of us!

Tophy124 · 15/09/2022 00:29

Fingers crossed @NSx! I’m a complete convert to preseed too haha. My husband likes it too. Tho I definitely don’t use it correctly with the applicator, far too lazy!

I’ve had cramps all day, but moving house so stressed and my toddler has had a very upset tummy so could easily be we both ate something off! Trying not to read into it but I know I am! Boobs are so sore but they always are with my bad PMS

HopingForBaby2 · 15/09/2022 07:09

Hey everyone.. finally worked out how to add a photo!! 🀣 this is the first time I’ve used ovulation tests so I’m a total novice.. I’m assuming going by this if my peak was CD15 PM I ovulated yesterday (CD16) or early this morning? We DTD CD13 CD15 and this morning. Have I covered all bases? 🀣

Sparklythings1 · 15/09/2022 07:53

Utterly tragic but I found this with preseed too @NSx πŸ˜‚ it was purely for a purpose and not in any way for fun πŸ™ˆ

Sparklythings1 · 15/09/2022 07:54

@HopingForBaby2 yeah looks like cd16 around 10pm you’ll have ovulated.. the book I read said most people are 24 hours, there are rare people who are 48 hours but not many

HopingForBaby2 · 15/09/2022 07:56

@Sparklythings1 thank you! Two week wait here I come... 🫣🀞🏼

Sparklythings1 · 15/09/2022 08:03

Giving up on this cycle again I think, cd24 and still nothing so I don’t know if I will ever ovulate but got to the stage now if I did and got pregnant I have no idea how dating it would work. Just hoping for AF soon now to hopefully start a normal cycle next month

Sparklythings1 · 15/09/2022 08:04

@HopingForBaby2 hope it goes quick for you 😬 plan something for every day so you don’t get a chance to think too much πŸ˜‚

HopingForBaby2 · 15/09/2022 08:06

@Sparklythings1 I will try to, work is manic at the moment so hopefully that will help! Hope you either ovulate or can start fresh with a new cycle very soon 🀞🏼

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 15/09/2022 08:12

Morning Ladies! Cd 11 for me and third day of flashing smileys. Going to try DTD every other day now so started last night and praying something happens this cycle as ill miss it next month due to travelling for work!

Sorry to read your frustration @Sparklythings1 what are you using to test for ovulation?

Sparklythings1 · 15/09/2022 08:25

@ExcitedandNervousC1 just the easy at home opks on premom app, it’s gone β€˜up’ to 0.3 last night when it’s always 0.2 or lower, hoping there’s some sign of ovulation today or tomorrow so I can move on. I think it’s still another 10-14 days after that til I’d get a period so this is one long cycle

Tophy124 · 15/09/2022 08:57

Been up all night with really severe nausea. Had a bad upset stomach last night, and about to move house this weekend, so really bad timing!! My toddler had an off tummy so I am wondering if he’s passed something on to me. I did a test this morning at 9DPO just incase and it was negative but I’m expecting AF in 8 days

Tophy124 · 15/09/2022 08:58

@Sparklythings1 Fingers crossed for you!! That does sound like a very long cycle! How long are they normally? I’m averaging 29-30 days xx
