Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Hi ladies, I am currently waiting for AF to arrive tomorrow. On cycle number 5 of TTC and so disappointed we didn't conceive this month. It is so hard not to convince yourself that the PMS symptoms are pregnancy symptoms but I've been emotional tonight, back cramps etc so definitely waiting on AF. We had a miscarriage at 12 weeks last year, stopped trying for a while due to changes in jobs etc. I did expect to be pregnant quicker and find it difficult not to be upset every month.

Sparklythings1 · 13/09/2022 00:26

@Judethepud sorry it’s not happened yet and sorry for your loss 😞 a month is so quick when you’re not ttc, as soon as you are and are on day 1 of your period it just feels like an eternity until you’ll be back to square one again and be able to try. I found once I’d got to about cd 4/5 I was back to being a bit more positive and ready to focus on the next cycle but on day 1 it’s so hard not to think of anything other than β€˜poor me’ 😩 I cried into my pasta one night while my husband (who wasn’t having to go through the ovulation tests, ovulation apps, calculations, pre-seed, symptom spotting and pregnancy tests) would say β€˜what’s wrong?’ πŸ€”πŸ˜‚

anotherpotoftea · 13/09/2022 07:04

@Judethepud I’m sorry for your loss. As @Sparklythings1 says it’s so hard dealing with the waiting and the disappointment. I’ve only just started with all this (but at a pretty old age!) and it’s doing my head in.

No AF here yet so normal cycle has not resumed post-Pill which is to be expected, but is driving me crazy. In the meantime my boobs are sore, I keep needing to pee in the night and I’ve woken up feeling sick. I think I was testing too early so now I’ve got my hopes up again, even though I know it’s highly unlikely.

Sparklythings1 · 13/09/2022 07:06

@anotherpotoftea what cd are you on now? Maybe that’s a good thing 🀞🏼

anotherpotoftea · 13/09/2022 07:14

If I count my post-pill withdrawal bleed as day 1, I’m on CD28. My cycle used to be 25 days like clockwork so I suppose I expected it to return to that. Negative FRER yesterday. Am sure it’s just my cycle being haywire but it’s hard not to drive myself crazy with what-ifs.

I am going mad with regret that I didn’t come off the pill a few years ago to get things sorted but I didn’t think I’d be able to TTC! (I was on medication for a serious health problem for years that is massively harmful in pregnancy. I am now totally better which nobody saw coming.)

How is everyone doing today?

anotherpotoftea · 13/09/2022 07:46

Think I’m PMSing. Just wish it would bloody hurry up.

HopingForBaby2 · 13/09/2022 08:41

Morning!
So it seems I was worrying over nothing yesterday as did an OPK this morning and the premom app is showing it as a 0.88 (up from 0.22 yesterday).. will keep on testing today but lots of EWCM and slight cramps this morning πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Glawen · 13/09/2022 08:47

@Judethepud so sorry for your loss and how you're feeling. I'm really struggling now that AF has arrived. I've got really bad headaches and cramps and generally feeling gutted. I can't believe it's not happened for us yet either, I was naive to the possible challenge that was ahead. I don't know what more we could possibly do! DH is thinking of getting a sperm test just to give us some peace of mind. But I'm sure that'll be another frustratingly long process. Sending hugs your way, each cycle I pray it's the one but this time I really do for all of us here 🀍

winningeasy · 13/09/2022 09:07

Hey @Glawen so sorry to hear you're struggling today. How long have you been trying?
I tried for a year to conceive DD. It was such a challenging time but so glad I persevered. I would say πŸ’― get all the tests you can - go private if you afford it - and make sure you're taking all the supplements.
A good book is 'It starts with an egg', there's a lot you can to increase chances x

winningeasy · 13/09/2022 09:11

@HopingForBaby2 ooo yes defo a super fertile time for you! When I conceived it feeling the ovulation pains not long after we had DTD. But we had had sex 2 times in the run up so could of been from any of the times.

Also one thing that I am certain works - always make sure you have an orgasm during / after you DTD. There's quite a lot of science behind this and obv when women orgasm they release a lot of cervical mucus, so this will help the sperm travel.

NSx · 13/09/2022 09:12

@Cm078 good luck ❣️ seems like you have covered all bases anyways - when will you test ?
I’m ovulating today hopefully 🀞 I got my positive OPK yesterday morning & my temp has remained the same today, so hopefully see a rise tomorrow ✨

@Noggiepie92 im doing ok thanks- oooh yes well I should hopefully ovulate today, however I don’t get any signs so I won’t know unless I get a temp rise tomorrow when I wake up tomorrow - however I have my day 21 bloods next Tuesday so atleast that will let me know for definite if I ovulated!
how are u feeling today? Has AF come today? Fx it hasn’t🀞

@FieldView ohhh we’re on the same cycle 😁 I should ovulate today too - I got my static very late on Sunday night but my positive OPK peak yesterday morning 😊 do u get any ovulation pains? I get no signs at all -
we BD CD 11,12,13,14 and today is cd15 which we will bd today and tomorrow - like you, we can’t do much more πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… 2WW tomorrow 🀞

@Tophy124 it may not be PMS, pregnancy and PMS symptoms are similar - I have my fx for you, hopefully good news for you, will you test, or will you just wait it out?

NSx · 13/09/2022 09:17

@Glawen I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, I felt exactly the same at the end of that last cycle - it’s really heartbreaking πŸ’”β€¦
what cycle are you on? It’s really frustrating when it doesn’t happen as quickly as you think!
please be kind to yourself πŸ’œπŸ’œ

FieldView · 13/09/2022 09:49

@NSx I maybe had a slight twinge the other day which could have been ovulation pains, or I might have just eaten too much!

We dtd on CD 7, 9, 10 and 12. Today is CD 14, so it's "scheduled" for today too, and probably Thursday as we won't see each other tomorrow. Then the waiting game! I'm going to try not to test until the every end of the tww though, even though I've got early tests squirrelled away. It's good to be in the tww with someone!

NSx · 13/09/2022 10:27

I don’t think I’m going to test at all - I have some FRERs and some IC but unless I feel something I’m not going to bother until maybe day of AF if she doesn’t come 🀣 let’s see - I’m not hopeful I feel like it’s just not happening for me β€” I was pregnant in feb & I didn’t track anything so I don’t have much to compare with except dates - but I don’t seem to be getting any ewcm which is concerning me a bit.
I got my day 3 bloods checked which are fine and I’m booked in next week for day 21s so will take it from there -
how are u feeling? I get literally not indication of ovulation ever πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… @FieldView

Glawen · 13/09/2022 10:29

@winningeasy @NSx thank you both for the kind words, the best thing about this place is that there are always others who feel the same as you and can relate 🀍 I am counting this as cycle 4 but they are the cycles we have been actively monitoring ovulation, testing and taking vitamins etc etc etc. I have been off the pill for about 19 months. That's what's worrying me more. I started thinking whether it was just that we were missing the mark (we probably were a lot of the time) and now that I know we aren't, I can't help but panic something's wrong 😣

NSx · 13/09/2022 10:33

@Glawen i honestly feel the same - like something is wrong - it’s normal because it’s not happening as fast as you would think .
I fell within 2-3 months the last time & I wasn’t tracking everything that I’m tracking now it was much more casual as I only really knew about OPKs and nothing else, now I’m paranoid that I’m not even ovulating πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« It’s stressful tbh

BethSuz27 · 13/09/2022 11:22

I’m probably being stupid and completely making it up but I feel like I can see the faintest of lines here… not sure you’ll be able to see it on camera tbh

im 11dpo and wanted to not test early but couldn’t help myself… these pics were taken 6 minutes after test taken

I’ve posted two pictures but could you guys please tell me I’m being silly and seeing things

4dpo today, if I push my left boob in it feels tender. Fairly standard for me in TWW. I’m trying to ignore it all.

I am worried I’m not ovulating, after having low progesterone on one set of bloods then normal on the next set, I just fear it’s happening less than it should.

@NSx starflower oil has definitely increased my EWCM. I would recommend it.

I knew it might be more challenging to conceive now compared to previously, (DS1 I was on the pill when I conceived!! DS2 was 6 cycles, and my ectopic I literally had sex once that month and wasn’t ttc) I am 35 now and only one tube but didn’t think I would still be trying this far in. Praying it happens soon

Mummyme87 · 13/09/2022 11:28

I’m not sure @BethSuz27 i can’t obviously see anything. Do you have a FRER?

BethSuz27 · 13/09/2022 11:34

@Mummyme87 I don’t have anything on me, I think my best bet is to await AF and then test if that doesn’t come really

NSx · 13/09/2022 11:38

@Mummyme87 i started on star flower but I scared myself out of taking it πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ because I read somewhere too much omega 6 can be bad & if you’re getting it from food I panicked and stopped taking it after a few weeks - because I was unsuccessful last month.
I read primrose oil is also good - so I guess I might try that - but I panic I’m over doing it πŸ˜… since in feb I conceived and didn’t do any of the above - but then again I didn’t check CM so I don’t know what’s normal for me if that makes sense-
oh it’s so stressful.
I get my day 21 bloods next week so atleast I will know if I’m ovulating as that is also stressing me out πŸ₯²

FieldView · 13/09/2022 13:56

@NSx I feel ok thanks. I mean, pretty fed up of the journey, but still persisting! I came off the pill in September 2020 and thought I might have had a successful pregnancy by now. I did conceive in Oct last year but it ended in a mmc, so I'm hoping I'm fertile in autumn or something and I'll get lucky again this side of Christmas! Here's hoping πŸ˜‚ How are you doing?

@BethSuz27 I really hope it's a line for you, but I'm afraid I can't see it - it might be my phone though!

Tophy124 · 13/09/2022 14:25

@NSx Im also going to try really hard to wait it out. I’m also not seeing any EWCM 😭 Do you think you will try starflower again? I’m the same as you and panic I’m overdoing things like my iron pills, and how that may impact if I was pregnant.

TTCn2 · 13/09/2022 15:39

Hi all, jumping over from ttc may thread as I'm now back in the dreaded tww.
@FieldView and @NSx I think I'm at a similar cycle point as you. My peak was Sunday, cd 13, we dtd cd8, 10, 12, 13, and hopefully tonight.
Like you @FieldView I came off the pill in Sep 2020 and am frustrated I've not fallen yet, although we haven't been properly trying all that time (I was hoping to be relaxed about it and it just happen, especially as it only took 3 months to conceive no.1 but that was 6 years ago).
Every month my body convinces me I'm pregnant, I get loads of signs including nausea, only to be mightly disappointed each month. I've tried not recording or measuring anything, to doing everything and anything.
Fingers crossed for this month for us all!

NSx · 13/09/2022 15:40

@FieldView it’s so stressful isn’t it πŸ₯²πŸ₯²πŸ₯²
I hope you’re lucky and catch, as do I but I’m not holding my breath πŸ˜…

@Tophy124 no Im scared 😱 I might try evening primrose next month - seems like the safer option 🀣
