New to mumsnet 🙋‍♀️ and I've seen loads of threads where everyone is so lovely and supportive so thought I'd post. This is our 4th cycle ttc #2, 1st cycle giving SMEP a try as I've seen so many success stories. With our first, we got so lucky and ended up pregnant on our first month trying so this waiting is a bit of a shock, although I know out 1st was the exception not the norm! Would love to hear any success stories, or any other ladies that want to compare notes this month x

@Aurora81 oh I’m excited for tomorrow for you I think you have a very good chance 🤞💕 on the other hand I’m just not as hopeful for myself however I would love to be wrong 😂😅

here’s hoping for some BFP’s ✨

allgoodthings84 · 24/08/2022 15:45

@Aurora81 i hope you have some exciting news tomorrow

I hate AF. Not just because it means I’m not pregnant I just hate it in general. I’m glad right now that I have a period don’t get me wrong but once I’m pregnant I would love to never have another one again 😂.

my periods were getting lighter (same amount of days) which I was liking but when I started taking vit b complex they went back to my normal flow again. Which I know is a good thing as lack of some b vitamins can stop your period (not good for ttc of course). I think I have a pretty normal flow period. Feels heavy for first 2 days then a bit lighter for 2 days then a very light 5th day.

@NSx and @allgoodthings84@allgoodthings84 my spotting has increased, so looks like AF will be here tomorrow or Friday. I am going to book an appointment with a Homeopath who specialises in female fertility issues, as my progesterone is low and while progesterone suppositories will help, I really feel I need to get to the root cause.

@allgoodthings84 I take the Biocare B complex, but I am going to supplement during the luteal phase going forward with extra b6. My b12 was 213 when I got it tested a month ago, so I hope that has improved. Also, I hope all your blood work comes back okay. B12 is important for the absorbtion of Iron. My sister had to get b12 injections too.

@Aurora81 really sorry. Have you had your progesterone tested? I'm not an expert but I'd have been really happy with your post ov temps and the length of luteal phase, and wouldn't think it looks like low progesterone from those from what I've read.

I had a short luteal phase (10 days) and possible lower progesterone as spotted a day or so before this, and I was told to take B vitamins, which I know you take. But also a high dose of liposomal C vitamin to improve it.

If you get info on progesterone or charting from the homeopath, would you mind sharing any tips

allgoodthings84 · 24/08/2022 17:39

@Aurora81 I spot for around for 3 days before AF. I already take vit b complex with added vitamin d and high dose vit c tablets. I used to have 4 days of spotting so it’s helped a bit and now my period flow is more like it used to be but there’s still spotting. It’s very very light spotting, none on the liner at all, ever, it’s only occasionally when wiping and is only a tiny of watery colour but it’s still spotting. I start spotting 10dpo. That’s why I’ve made an appointment with the doctor. If I’ve got low progesterone I want to know even if they won’t treat it as I’ll then go private for treatment but I don’t even know if they will test for it

NatGee · 24/08/2022 17:41

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I love liposomal vit c, the best thing. me and my DH take it every day

NSx · 24/08/2022 18:13

@Aurora81 oh im so sorry I honestly thought this was it for you, if u feel that you need a bit of help from a homeopath then I think that would be useful. 💜

NatGee · 24/08/2022 18:59

@Aurora81 oh no.... well, at least you can relax and pour yourself a big great glass of wine :) onto the next cycle, eh? xxx

Aurora81 · 24/08/2022 19:30

Re progesterone

MrsU2022 · 24/08/2022 19:33

I'm on what I think is CD15...(post mc)...no sign of ovulation yet, not due til end of week according to app. But still trying this method!

allgoodthings84 · 24/08/2022 20:23

@Aurora81 oh bloody hell so we are thinking progesterone but could actually be an estrogen issue. How would we even know which one?

EdinburghGirl1 · 24/08/2022 21:20

My OH said to me tonight he thinks I've been really short with him the last couple of days. Does that count as a symptom 😂

NSx · 24/08/2022 22:10

@EdinburghGirl1 don’t know but apparently I’ve been evil 😂😅

it’s probably more of the stress of not being pregnant that has me annoyed 😂😅😅

EdinburghGirl1 · 25/08/2022 06:29

@NSx 😂 at least I'm not the only one. I know it's on my mind all the time too so probably acting a little differently. How are you doing today. 9dpo today for me

NSx · 25/08/2022 06:32

@EdinburghGirl1 im ok, nothing really to report 😂😂 everything is normal here at 10dpo — temp is at 36.69 so slightly up from yest but stable as it has been 😅 not a lot going on really , U?

EdinburghGirl1 · 25/08/2022 06:44

@NSx That's good it's still up. I'm ok not really got any symptoms or an urge to test yet which is good is good. Last month I tested at 9/10dpo really thinking it might be positive. Just need to get through today at work then I'm done for the week as off on Fridays so at least tomorrow will pass quickly

fsr111 · 25/08/2022 07:05

@nsx @EdinburghGirl1, being evil at OH is definitely a symptom of TTC even if it's not a pregnancy symptom! I'm already symptom spotting and only a few days in. I don't know why I do it to myself... determined not to test until at least day of AF - if she doesn't show up. Can already feel my willpower waning!

NatGee · 25/08/2022 07:18

@EdinburghGirl1 @nsx @fsr111 In all honesty, I get annoyed at DH just from him being in my way. True story 😔
You ladies don't have long to go in this tww, glad you're holding your nerve and not testing early. I too am being discouraged from doing that, from all the false positives and chemicals some ladies seem to get. I'd just rather not know.
3DPO for me, so ovulation is confirmed. Thank the gods for the long weekend!

NSx · 25/08/2022 08:09

@EdinburghGirl1 it’s weird isn’t it, small things can make you believe you’re pregnant then the reality sets into your mind & you know you’re not so no point in testing 😂😂😂 I have a FRER so I’ll maybe use it Sunday but honestly I don’t think anything’s happening - AF is due Tuesday - I’ll be 13dpo by then so if anything has happened something should surely come up 😂😂
@fsr111 I think the stress of ttc and getting negative tests really changes your mood, I fully believe I may be evil 😂😂😂 😈
@NatGee I can’t wait until Af shows up and I can move on from this cycle because I really can’t see it happening this month I have 0 symptoms 🙁

EdinburghGirl1 · 25/08/2022 09:47

@NSx yes exactly but then again some people don't get many symptoms and if implantation doesn't happen until later on you wouldn't have anything. Maybe you'll be surprised this month, you never know. I think all the constant thinking about it and feeling like you are just waiting (for ovulation or symptoms to start or testing) drives us all a bid mad and hard to just be normal and easy going.

fsr111 · 25/08/2022 10:17

@EdinburghGirl1, you are totally right there. I definitely don't feel easy going even though I keep telling myself to be. I think the best week of the month is a few days after AF has started (- once i have come to terms with its arrival) and before i need to really be paying attention to ovulation. The rest of the month is just stress!

NSx · 25/08/2022 10:18

@EdinburghGirl1 well I’ve been proactive this morning and booked a blood test appt with my gp next week, as regardless my skin and mood has been wild this week, so I want to get my hormone levels checked 🤞ttc is so stressful though, but I’m defo not hopeful for this month. I just feel nothing 😅😅😅

EdinburghGirl1 · 25/08/2022 10:19

@NSx that's a good idea to just get checked out. No harm checking

NSx · 25/08/2022 10:27

@EdinburghGirl1 100% - plus it will give me peace of mind to know everything is as it should be- she said they do these tests are best done during AF so that should come by next week anyways -
fingers crossed 🤞

allgoodthings84 · 25/08/2022 13:03

@NSx you’re so lucky to be seen next week that’s really quick. I’ve got to wait 2 weeks so will be more than half way though this cycle before I even can speak to anyone then I’ll have to wait for a tests appointment
